Holiday Gift Ideas with the Creative Inking Bloggers!

Hello there friends! Thank you for joining us on another blog hop with these amazing Stampin’ Up! demonstrators! This month, we have 10 fabulous participants, to “hop” along and see all their work, just click the icons at the bottom with the cute bunny- and “click” the “next” button to hop forward… it will take you to each one. I am so excited about the theme this month- Holiday Gift Ideas, and I just couldn’t wait to share some ideas with you! (And how perfect that today launches our Online Extravaganza– a special week long sale, with some awesome stamp sets available today only… scroll to bottom for a complete list!)

First, I wanted to show you this adorable hot cocoa gift– perfect use for those test tubes!

How sweet is this? I just love how this finished product came out- who would you give this to?? I’m thinking this would make a great teacher, bus driver, coach, co-worker, neighbor, mail carrier, and friend gift.

In case you wonder where to find this super cute mini mini marshmallow bits- they are in the hot cocoa isle (not where other marshmallows were at my local store). The little mini silver spoons are from the Dollar General store- just a great finish to this “gift”. (sorry about the mess in the background- I totally meant to crop that out!)

This is one of the projects we made tonight at my Stamping Bingo event, I was thrilled to have such a great response to this “Ugly Christmas Sweater” themed event. Be sure to stop back tomorrow to see all my bingo pictures!

This is a sweet little gift I featured at my last Girl Scout Troop meeting. The girls voted and wanted to learn about Book Making. (there is a badge for that! lol). They love time in the craft room and I taught them the hot glue gun binding technique. They each made a different cover, the inside pages are thick sketch book/artists paper so they can color and their work won’t seep through). I explained that these are inexpensive gifts they could make for their family members for gifts next month. (I did use some retired DSP and ribbon above).

Here is the complete flyer with all the items included in our Online Extravaganza Sale! Don’t forget that there are items on sale today only- those specials end at Midnight!

You can either click this image (note- this version has all the French stamp sets on the list).

Or click here and open the list I created- and note I removed all the French items.

2017-18 Annual Catalog, blog hop, card making, Creative Circle Design Team, New In-Colors, rubber stamping, Stampin Up, Summer Fun

Summer Fun with the Creative Circle Design Team!

Well Hello Friends! Thank you for joining us for our July edition of the Creative Circle Design Team! We wanted to share some Stampin’ Up! Summer Fun for you! I am so excited to see what these talented ladies have come up with this month, how about you? We are a small international group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, and we just love to showcase our newest products and hope to inspire you all!

This first card is a special birthday card I made for a friend, now that the daisy punch is back in stock, I wanted to start showing off so you would want to order it for yourself! This is a sweet and simple card making three different colored daisy flowers and using one piece of the new wood crate on the card front.

Next up- a yummy summer drink card! Do you love frappacino’s and other frothy drinks from Starbucks? Me too! I created this card for my recent team get together, the girls loved making this card.

Next up is a card I created featuring our new embossing paste! I wanted my team to have a chance to use this awesome new product, we used our silicone mat to add re-inker (Lemon-Lime Twist) and some dazzling delights (aka glitter) for added sparkle. This was card #2 for our team get together. *On a side note- the container appears to be larger- that is on purpose as Stampin’ Up! wanted us to have plenty of room to scoop this stuff out… it also settles somewhat…. also- most  important of all- this stuff dries SUPER FAST, so work quickly and wash off the mask and tools immediately afterwards (or it will harden).

Last, but not least is a card I created to showcase the new “At Home with You” bundle for our team get together. I created this card with a bright basket of summer flowers next to the front door- and can you tell the door opens?

It is really a fun new bundle, perfect for any holiday, new home owner, real estate agent, wedding, anniversary, and more!! Are you ready to go visit the talented Kate? She has something very special to share with us today!

Here’s the Complete Line-up:

Thanks so very much for taking the time to visit my blog today! I love to read your comments, feel free to scroll down to the bottom where it says “Leave a response” and you can let me know which card you enjoyed the most? thanks!

CCDT March Madness Blog Hop!

img_4251

Hi there crafty friends and welcome to our March Blog Hop with the Creative Circle Design Team!! Thank you for hopping by today! We are a small, but mighty group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who love to share our creations with all of you! These ladies always amaze me, and I have learned so much from each and every member of this team.

This month our theme is “March Madness” (I know for many people that has a basketball analogy, but I’m no sports fan, sorry)… so I’m opting to share with you five cards I recently did at my stamp a Stack class.

This fun birthday card shows off the Party Animal Designer Series Paper, the base is in emerald envy card stock. The stamp set I used is Badges and Banners, which coordinates beautifully with the Best Badge and Duet Banner punches.  Other colors used are: Pacific Point and Crushed Curry.

This card was so easy to color with our new watercolor pencils and a blender pen on our Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper (this is a free Saleabration item), and a cooper foil dragonfly. (Sadly I have been needing a lot of sympathy cards lately.)

I received a beautiful swap with this set Big on Birthdays and decided to change up the colors. I used calypso coral and wild wasabi markers to color in the flowers and as the cardstock colors for the card base and layer. I used the petal burst textured impressions embossing folder for the base.

This is one of my favorite cards I designed just for this class (and shout out to my team who was over my house for my first ever “Open Studio Day” last month- they gave me wonderful input, and I love how this came out- thanks ladies!).  I just adore the the “Beautiful You” stamp set, stamped with stazon ink on our watercolor paper and used our new water-coloring pencils and an aqua painter. Do you see that shimmer on the umbrella? That is the clear Wink of Stella pen- just a great finishing touch, I think.

This last card is similar to the card I made recently for my dad’s birthday. This used the new “Nailed it” stamp set, matching dies to cut out the tools, and features the new hexagon textured impression embossing folder.

This is one of my most popular classes- I do this on the 4th Monday of every month. It is a 10 card class (2 each of 5 designs) with envelopes. The ladies always love making a whole stack of cards.

Big Shot Fun with Creative Inking!

creative hop

Hi there Friends! Welcome to our July Blog Hop! I hope you are having a wonderful summer! Our theme this month is “Be a Big Shot”! and we are all featuring projects made with the Big Shot machine! I vividly remember when I bought my first Big Shot in September 2008 when Stampin’ Up! and Sizzix began their collaboration, and can hardly believe all the awesome products created through the years that are exclusive to Stampin’ Up! Our newest exclusive, limited time offer is the stunning new bundle called “Thoughtful Branches”.

Don’t you just love the gorgeous fonts in this set? Demonstrators are able to preorder this bundle in July, so glad I purchased mine last week. I had very limited time to play with this set, but the first idea I had was to create a beautiful fall tree… not that I’m rushing summer, but I just wanted to show you another option for this set. Did you know that Stampin’ Up! has created a whole Pinterest board with gorgeous samples? (here’s a link: https://www.pinterest.com/stampinup/thoughtful-branches-bundle/)

The leaves were created with the baby wipe technique (I used crushed curry, Cajun craze, and cherry cobbler reinkers).

This version was my first attempt, but I could tell right away that it needed something else.

I just knew I needed the new copper embossing powder and copper metallic thread on this card too.

You can order this bundle starting August 2nd (while supplies last). I would love to hear from you, please leave me a comment below. Now it’s time to go see what Phyllis has ready for us, just click the “next” button:

2015 Holiday Catalog, 2015-16 Annual Catalog, blog hop, card making, Christmas, rubber stamping, Stampin Up, We Create Blog Hop

My First “We Create Blog Hop!” Step it Up!

We Create 2015

Hello there Stampin’ Friends, how are you?? I am so thrilled to be invited to participate in an awesome monthly blog hop with the “We Create Blog Hop” team! (pinch me, I must be dreaming!) I have admired these ladies work for some time, and on a whim I emailed one of them when I saw they were looking for some new demos to join the hop. Thank you Jeanna and Julie for this amazing opportunity!

So the way this blog hop works, is each month we’ll design a card using Stampin’ Up! products and then “step it up a notch” showcasing more advanced techniques and/or more products. Isn’t that a great idea? Well since today is the release of the brand new 2015 Holiday Catalog, I decided to show you a special card that I used for a both a swap I participated in by mail, and then I also used another version for my monthly Christmas Stamp-a-Stack last night.

IMG_5727

So it started when I wanted to put the black cat on the new window framelit and thought about what would the inside wall look like to be looking outside at a cozy scene? That’s when I thought of an interior brick wall, and out came the new brick textured impression embossing folder. I then played around with both the chalker marker and the uniball white gel pen to see what look more realistic. what do you think? Soft suede ink was sponged on in a few places to give the bricks an aged look.

So here is the simple version of my card:

step it up

I love how the little village looks through the window, don’t you? The Home For Christmas Designer Series paper is a real wow! I love every piece in this collection and am going to stock up on this paper for all my Christmas cards and home decor, I love it!

But to create a “Stepped Up” version of this card, I decided to use some new Real Red Pom-Pom trim (I’m seriously in love with this stuff and think we should have it in EVERY color- who’s with me??) and the new Real Red 1/8″ stripped ribbon and our awesome gold sequin trim is stapled on to the little Note Tag punch. I think this tag “steps up” the card, don’t you?

So here are the swap cards before going out in the mail.

IMG_5750

This was a little “teaser” I posted on my Facebook business page to get people excited about the new Holiday Catalog… it worked (I hope).

The funny thing was that I was pet sitting at my sister’s while I was creating these swaps and the cards for this blog hop, and I also made our new witches hat. Here’s a picture of that:

IMG_5717

As you can see we love little black cats in our family. This is Louie, it took me a long time to get a nice picture of him next to the hat. (He’s not a cat you can just pick up and put where you want him, it took two hours of waiting for him to come up on the counter- oops… shouldn’t let the cat out of the bag that I encouraged him up there, don’t tell my sister- okay??  thanks!)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, are you ready to go visit Julie’s blog and see what she came up with? click the “Next blog” icon below: (I have more news below about new Holiday Catalog, clearance rack and Weekly deals, keep reading if you’re not ready to leave my page).

Creative Inkling Blog Hop- Happy Mother’s Day!

creative hop

Hi there Stamping Friends! Thanks for hopping this way on our Creative Inkling Blog Hop for April! Isn’t this a talented group of demonstrators? I am learning so many wonderful techniques from all of them.

This month the theme is Mother’s Day. This month in my club some ladies commented that it is a little hard for them as their mothers are deceased… I do plan alternate greetings for my customers so they can individualize their cards for what ever purpose they’d like. But this got me thinking about doing something other than Mother’s Day cards for this month’s hop. I did feature lovely floral cards and Mother’s Day cards in my clubs this month, here are some samples (in case you didn’t visit me this month): https://lynnzcrafters.com/2015/04/13/april-club-projects/

So I decided that what I wanted to show you is a Mother’s Tribute, using our lovely new Hello Life Project Kit (found on page 6 of the Spring Catalog). Here is the photo of what the collage frame looks like if you complete it exactly as is:

hello life kit3 hello life kit2 hello life kit

Well the great thing about this kit, is it is super easy to customize and you can use the frame for many different purposes. you could change it out seasonally, or give it as a gift. Not sure if you can tell, but I used the clothespins, the frame and the shaker frame for my tribute display, so I have almost all the supplies I can reuse and make another display for another time.

For this month’s blog hop, I decided to use it as for a Mother’s Day Tribute to my dear Mother. I’m blessed to have a wonderful Mother and we live about 4 miles from each other, love that we can see each other often and we attend church together, it is a great time for the two of us.

I have mounted this on my living room wall, it’s the first thing people will see when they enter my home. I used one of those awesome command hooks, I got the one for up to 5 pounds of weight.

Also- a reminder, It’s a great time to grab those labels framelits (they are a weekly deal for 25% off until 4/20 at midnight)…
