Hi there Stamping Friends! Can you believe that I have hit the 500 mark! 500 blog posts that is! WOW, thank YOU all so much for reading, visiting, commenting, liking and sharing my blog posts! I do enjoy sharing crafty inspiration with you all!
This weekend is my 4th annual Lynnzcrafters Team Crafty Get-Away up in Lake Luzerne. I am so blessed to have six of my downline up here at the cozy cottage my dear friend Wendy owns overlooking the beautiful lake.
Here is the view that greets us from the cottage.
And look at this yummy fruit, Judy made a delicious sauce to go over it…
Such a nice cozy table setting.
You know how crazy I am about owls… couldn’t resist this gift for the girls…
We each made a swap to share with each other. My swap was the owl with a cute re-usable gift tag. Don’t you love that plaid pattern on the designer series paper? me too!
This is the swap card made by Amye- how sweet?
This beauty is the swap card made by Carol- she did a lot of coloring for sure!
This amazing card was made by Jamie- now I really want the dove stamp, I love how Jamie colored this dove!
This stunning swap was made by Judy- can you believe she hand-cut out all those birch trees? wowza!
Don’t you just love this sweet and simple swap card by Laurie?
Last, but certainly not least is Tiffany’s terrific tag- she hand cut all those bears!
This weekend has been chuck full of stamping, crafting, eating, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. I really needed this get-away, my mojo is restored!

We have today to craft away, so be sure to stop by tomorrow- I am in another blog hop and will be sharing lots of “Christmas Joy” with you all! Have a wonderful Sunday, thank you for stopping by to read my blog. Would love to hear from YOU, so leave me a comment, thanks!!
Hello there Stampin’ Friends, how are you?? I am so thrilled to be invited to participate in an awesome monthly blog hop with the “We Create Blog Hop” team! (pinch me, I must be dreaming!) I have admired these ladies work for some time, and on a whim I emailed one of them when I saw they were looking for some new demos to join the hop. Thank you Jeanna and Julie for this amazing opportunity!
So the way this blog hop works, is each month we’ll design a card using Stampin’ Up! products and then “step it up a notch” showcasing more advanced techniques and/or more products. Isn’t that a great idea? Well since today is the release of the brand new 2015 Holiday Catalog, I decided to show you a special card that I used for a both a swap I participated in by mail, and then I also used another version for my monthly Christmas Stamp-a-Stack last night.
So it started when I wanted to put the black cat on the new window framelit and thought about what would the inside wall look like to be looking outside at a cozy scene? That’s when I thought of an interior brick wall, and out came the new brick textured impression embossing folder. I then played around with both the chalker marker and the uniball white gel pen to see what look more realistic. what do you think? Soft suede ink was sponged on in a few places to give the bricks an aged look.
So here is the simple version of my card:
I love how the little village looks through the window, don’t you? The Home For Christmas Designer Series paper is a real wow! I love every piece in this collection and am going to stock up on this paper for all my Christmas cards and home decor, I love it!
But to create a “Stepped Up” version of this card, I decided to use some new Real Red Pom-Pom trim (I’m seriously in love with this stuff and think we should have it in EVERY color- who’s with me??) and the new Real Red 1/8″ stripped ribbon and our awesome gold sequin trim is stapled on to the little Note Tag punch. I think this tag “steps up” the card, don’t you?
So here are the swap cards before going out in the mail.
This was a little “teaser” I posted on my Facebook business page to get people excited about the new Holiday Catalog… it worked (I hope).
The funny thing was that I was pet sitting at my sister’s while I was creating these swaps and the cards for this blog hop, and I also made our new witches hat. Here’s a picture of that:
As you can see we love little black cats in our family. This is Louie, it took me a long time to get a nice picture of him next to the hat. (He’s not a cat you can just pick up and put where you want him, it took two hours of waiting for him to come up on the counter- oops… shouldn’t let the cat out of the bag that I encouraged him up there, don’t tell my sister- okay?? thanks!)
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, are you ready to go visit Julie’s blog and see what she came up with? click the “Next blog” icon below: (I have more news below about new Holiday Catalog, clearance rack and Weekly deals, keep reading if you’re not ready to leave my page).
