Saying Goodbye- Creative Circle Design Team Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the May edition of the Creative Circle Design Team Blog Hop! We’d like to welcome a new member of our team- Lisa Eisner! So excited to have you on board!

This is such a talented group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, and it’s an international group with so many inspiring projects!

When I saw the theme for favorite retiring products, I knew that it would be hard to pick just 1 product to feature here on this blog hop.

First up is a beautiful home decor project that I featured at my recent Way to Go Day for the top 4 ladies on my team! We had an open studio type day, I bought the magnets, frames, metal sheets, and we made dozens of interchangeable letter O’s. I first saw this idea on Facebook in the demonstrator planning page and it was created by Dee Slater. Thanks Dee!!

Of course it was so gorgeous several other people have created their own versions. I try to find projects to feature that my team can use in their own classes and events. This frame features the retiring butterfly thinlets, and I am going to be sad to see these go into retirement.

Kim, Lisa, Elizabeth and Amye earned this special day for their sales & recruiting milestones for last quarter. Congrats ladies!

Amye’s frame with 12 interchangeable O’s, how cute are these?

Elizabeth sent me a few photos when she got home… she went right up to her craft room to make a few more inserts, these feature several retiring products as well. I will really miss this tree punch, what perfect little apples. And she also stamped and colored the cozy cottage, a lovely hostess set that is going away as of May 31 also. She plans to use this for March for St. Patrick’s Day.

Here they are creating in action. It was such an amazing day, the creativity was really flowing! I can see this is a great Mother’s Day gift, wedding gift, shower gift, or gift for friend who bought a new house. The possibilities are endless.

That’s the end of my post, thank you so much for visiting me today! I treasure your comments, I read each one and will reply with any questions or comments you may have. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read this post and leave me a comment. Now on to the others!

2018 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration!, blog hop, Creative Circle Design Team, Easter cards, Stampin Up

CCDT-February Blog Hop

Hi friends,

Thank you for stopping by for our Monthly Creative Circle Design Team- we are an International group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and we love to share our latest products, projects and techniques with you! Our team leader is the super talented Liz Holloway, who is a Canadian Demonstrator. This month the team is sharing some Easter Inspirations for you. Since Easter is so early this year, April 1st, we wanted you to have lots of ideas.

This card was made with the new bundle “Hold on to Hope”, with the Cross of Hope Framelits Dies to cut and emboss the silver cross (on page 27). It just pops when mounted on a Daffodil Delight oval that was framed with a so-called oval in Berry Burst. Notice the gorgeous Sweet Soirée Specialty Designer Series Paper? (Each piece has silver foil accents on one side with colorful printed images on the other, super easy to fussy cut the cakes or flowers or use the dies!) This suite is found on page 13 of the Occasions Catalog, with the Berry Burst 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon.

using the same DSP, this card is done in a monochromatic scheme featuring Old Olive and Always Artichoke card stock. Both cards include the “Happy Easter” sentiment from the ever versatile set ‘Teeny Tiny Wishes”.

Have you noticed that Stampin’ Up! has been indicating the stamp sets that are designed by our million dollar sales achievers? This Hold on to Hope set was inspired by Brandy Cox. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it and knew it was a must-have for my collection. I will be featuring some stamping get-togethers and card ministries for my friends in church in the near future. Stay tuned.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Are you ready to hop along and see some more creative projects? Just click below.

2018 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration!, blog hop, Brusho, card making, Creative Circle Design Team, Eclipse Technique, Valentine's Day, watercoloring fun

CCDT Blog Hop- Love is in the Air!

Hello and Happy New Year Friends! Happy New 2018 Occasions Catalog AND Sale-a-Bration Launch Day! Today has been a busy day getting all the links and catalogs updated for this new season! Thank you so much for joining us on our hop! I can’t wait to see what everyone has created this month! With our theme “Love is in the Air”, I’m getting ready for Valentine’s Day, I hope you like my card.

This is a card I made for Valentine’s Day and for an organized swap I participated in last month. I loved using our new Brusho Crystals for watercolor. (this new product is a dry powder- in 5 colors and is so fun to play with!)

First I made the card by cutting out large letters “I” and “U” from Whisper White card stock. Then I embossed the heart in whisper white embossing powder on our Shimmer Paper (it is thicker and more absorbent). Then get the paper very wet with an aqua painter. Then sprinkle the brusho crystals on (tip- just poke a hole in top of your crystals with paper piercing tool- to make a shaker jar, DON’T peel the sticker off as it will be too hard to shake/control it.) Then blend the powder until you cover all the paper/area that you want. You can play with adding a second (or more) color, but for Valentine’s Day I only wanted to use the red.

I wasn’t quite happy with this look, so went back to the drawing board, this time, I decided to cut the “I” and “U” out of the Shimmer paper that I used for my base. I also stamped and used matching framelits for the little heart.

Now this is an “Eclipse” technique card- I just love making cards with this technique, don’t you? Don’t you just love the new gold glitter? What do you think?

Are you ready to go visit the other talented Demonstrators? This is an International Group- you will be amazed by all their wonderful projects! Enjoy!

For this blog hop, I wanted to focus on something that I am very thankful for- our new alcohol markers! Stampin’ Up! had a similar product out a few years ago, but there was a flaw unable to be corrected by the manufacturer.

Creative Circle Design Team 3D Piano

Hi Friends! Welcome to the next International Blog Hop of the Creative Circle Design Team. We are organized by the amazing Liz Holloway and this month she shared an amazing 3D Upright Piano Card Box pattern for our electronic e-cutter machines. I am just in awe of her ability to create these cut files for us. The piano was super fun to put together, and I can’t wait to see what everyone has come up with this month! If you arrived here to my page from Liz’s- thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to continue on the hop with the list at the bottom of this post.

This is my piano card with the hinged lid in the upright position- there are tiny magnets holding this in place. I pulled out my light up Christmas tree as I used the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper for my front/side panels.

Here is a close up with some added trim to decorate the piano- I opened up the Boxwood Wreaths (2 of them) and applied the bow made from the new tinsel trim (mini tinsel trim combo pack comes with 2 rolls- one is red, the other is silver- love this stuff!)

This piano is actually a card holder! Look how cute it is with a holiday card tucked in there! This would make an awesome gift for a special piano teacher, music teacher, or special someone who loves music!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today- I do love to hear from you! If you scroll to the bottom you can click “Leave a response” and I will respond!
Have a great day!

UPDATE ON ALASKA:

I’m so very thankful for all who have been helping me with my quest, my mission, my GOAL of earning my first HUGE Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip- to Alaska! I am about $2000 away in my own sales, and when one of my wonderful downline promotes to Bronze Elite (she is about $300 away from her promotion- which will then give me 7,500 flex points towards this trip).  I am so very hopeful that both of these situations occur this month, before time runs out. If you would like to help- please let me know. Thanks!

Birthday Bash with Creative Circle Design Team Blog Hop

Hello friends! Thank you for joining us for another one of our monthly blog hops with the Creative Circle Design Team, a small group of international Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators! Our team leader, Liz Holloway, keeps us all organized and gives us challenges and themes each month, it’s a wonderful source of inspiration! I hope you click on all the names at the bottom of this list to keep hopping along!

First I’d like to welcome  two more demonstrators to our CCDT. First up is a great friend of Liz’s and she is located in Abbotsford, BC. Please welcome Penny Hanuszak!

Next up is a wonderfully talented lady named Juan Ambida! She lives in Australia and is super talented! So glad to welcome both Penny and Juan to our cozy little group!

Since our theme this month is “Birthday Bash”, I wanted to show one of my summer birthday cards that I have created for the stampers in my August clubs.

I had to hold it closed to take the picture. Can you tell what kind of card it is?

Well if you guessed a card in a box pop up card then you are right!

Some of my club members requested a special pop up card when we were together last month and I came up with this design using our beautiful new birthday memories designer series paper! The trick with this type of card is to carefully lay out the pop up pieces before adhering them to the insert piece, as they must fit within the card or it won’t fit inside an envelope. I just love giving these cards to my friends- they are always so surprised when it pops open!

Want to know how to make this card? There are dozens of directions out there, but I wanted to simplify the process.

  • Start with 1/2 piece of cardstock cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • Score the long side at 2″, 4″, 6″ and 8″
  • turn and score the short side at 2 1/2″ from the top.
  • Trim the slots open at the 2-4-6-8 inch score lines to the score line.
  • Cut away the small tab on the top 1/2″ (made next to the 8″ score line) and reserve this for your inside tab for the pop up pieces.
  • If you want more inserts for more items to pop up, they will need to match (1/2″ x 2 1/2″)
  • use strong adhesive (I used our Tear and Tape) on the 1/2″ bottom tab.
  • Decorate sides with coordinating DSP.

If you have any questions please let me know, I might just try a video if there is enough interest! (I have been wanting to try videos for some time now).

I treasure your comments, it means the world to me (to leave a me a comment, scroll to the very bottom and click “leave a response”- your email will not be published!)

Now just click the next name in the list below to continue hopping around the world:

Guess what? I am getting VERY close to earning the next Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip to Alaska! I have until September 30th to earn the remaining points. I have been working very hard since the new year started on October 1, 2016. Of course, most of you know I had to cancel lots of events with my dear mother’s battle with cancer up to her death last November. Then I switched jobs and am away from home 2 1/2 hour more each day, which is less time spent on my Stampin’ Up! business. But the good news is, my customers and downline have been so helpful, and I’m in the home stretch. I am getting ready to announce my big $1000 Workshop, stay tuned for all the details in tomorrow’s post. (Any size order is super helpful, as is a Paper Pumpkin subscription, joining my team, or hey- just buying my  handmade cards from me too). Hope you come back tomorrow for all the details!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoy our hop!

Summer Fun with the Creative Circle Design Team!

Well Hello Friends! Thank you for joining us for our July edition of the Creative Circle Design Team! We wanted to share some Stampin’ Up! Summer Fun for you! I am so excited to see what these talented ladies have come up with this month, how about you? We are a small international group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators, and we just love to showcase our newest products and hope to inspire you all!

This first card is a special birthday card I made for a friend, now that the daisy punch is back in stock, I wanted to start showing off so you would want to order it for yourself! This is a sweet and simple card making three different colored daisy flowers and using one piece of the new wood crate on the card front.

Next up- a yummy summer drink card! Do you love frappacino’s and other frothy drinks from Starbucks? Me too! I created this card for my recent team get together, the girls loved making this card.

Next up is a card I created featuring our new embossing paste! I wanted my team to have a chance to use this awesome new product, we used our silicone mat to add re-inker (Lemon-Lime Twist) and some dazzling delights (aka glitter) for added sparkle. This was card #2 for our team get together. *On a side note- the container appears to be larger- that is on purpose as Stampin’ Up! wanted us to have plenty of room to scoop this stuff out… it also settles somewhat…. also- most  important of all- this stuff dries SUPER FAST, so work quickly and wash off the mask and tools immediately afterwards (or it will harden).

Last, but not least is a card I created to showcase the new “At Home with You” bundle for our team get together. I created this card with a bright basket of summer flowers next to the front door- and can you tell the door opens?

It is really a fun new bundle, perfect for any holiday, new home owner, real estate agent, wedding, anniversary, and more!! Are you ready to go visit the talented Kate? She has something very special to share with us today!

Here’s the Complete Line-up:

Thanks so very much for taking the time to visit my blog today! I love to read your comments, feel free to scroll down to the bottom where it says “Leave a response” and you can let me know which card you enjoyed the most? thanks!

2017-18 Annual Catalog, blog hop, card making, Creative Circle Design Team, handmade cards, Ribbon Shares, rubber stamping, Stampin Up

CCDT New Catalog Favorites!

Hello and welcome to our June Creative Circle Design Team Blog Hop!

This month I want to share with you some swap cards I created and mailed out last month to other demonstrators for an “organized swap”. Now that everyone has received their swaps, we are able to show off what we made. Plus I want to share my favorite swap card I received.

First up is this beautiful card- featuring new In Colors, stamps, and card stock! Don’t you just love the font from this set? Me too!  I cased this card from my favorite swap card that I received from Jenn. Love the new Lemon-Lime Twist, it’s my favorite new In-Color!

This is a card I came up with to feature at my June clubs, I wanted to showcase the daisy delight bundle, but with the punch on backorder I decided to just use the little flowers that are in the stamp set- aren’t they sweet? And the new Tranquil Tide ink and ribbon just make this card pop, don’t you think? The base is Soft Saffron, as I thought the DSP was more muted.

.

Living in Upstate NY, I have a true fondness for anything Adirondack, and these new dies to create an Adirondack chair are no exception. This is a card I created for one of the swaps I participated in last month. I made this card in all 5 In Colors using the new Designer Series Paper stack, what do you think? This is Fresh Fig paired with Lemon-Lime Twist. I love this combo, don’t you?

.

This is a card I created for a swap, I’m very happy with how this one came out. It is a simple “Z-Fold” card, and features the new Birthday Memories Suite. I fell in love with this bundle, and suite, when I attended OnStage in April. I was lucky to be able to pre-order this and feature it for this swap. It was simple to cut the word “birthday” to fit on two lines. I think this little girl looks so vintage, like the Campbell Soup girl… this card features new Designer Series Paper, dies, and ribbon. *This is one of the Ribbons that I am offering in my 2017 Ribbon Shares- I have a few spots left- let me know if you’re interested. I’m posting the info at the bottom of this post.

.

here is another view for you to see the Z-fold…

Here is another image from the Birthday Memories suite- this card I actually made as a Make-and-Take at OnStage, just love this little fox!

Last, but not least, is my favorite new Hostess Stamp Set- called Tranquil Tulips. This is a two-step stamp set that is just gorgeous. I also featured on of our new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder- Starburst- to give the bottom layer some texture and interest. What do you think?

I would love to hear from you- what card do you like the most? Also- don’t forget tomorrow night, June 2nd is my New Catalog Launch Party and Open House! I have In-Color Bookmarks, a sweet little notecard, a new catalog Survival Kit, snacks, lots of goodies to look at, displays, sign-ups and prizes! Let me know if you plan to attend, I would hate it if I didn’t have enough prepped for you! thanks!!

Ribbon Shares are Here!

With the launch of the new 2017-18 Catalog, I have been working on a new Ribbon Share deal for you. It was a little more difficult this year as we have over 50 new ribbons in the new catalog and they are absolutely gorgeous! It was a hard decision to make, but I am finally ready to promote my 2017 Ribbon Shares!

Here are the details of my 2017 Ribbon Share:

  • $50 per person for each ribbon share, plus shipping (or you can pick up at my house in Glenville, NY).
  • You will receive 2 yards each (consecutive cuts) from 10 new ribbon types, with 34 colors/styles for a grand total of 68 yards of new Ribbon!
  • Payment is due in Full by June 3rd, and will work in groups of 5 people per share (all the ribbons I have selected are in 10 yard rolls, so I need 5 people to make up a “share”). If I don’t have enough to complete a share, I will go in the order that I received payment to fulfill the request.
  • I will order all the ribbons on June 3rd and they should arrive by June 13th if nothing goes on back-order. I will need a few days to cut/wrap and prepare the ribbons for you. My goal is to have it ready by June 17th (so I can bring them with me to the BOGO sale, if all goes well).

Here’s what you will be getting 2 yards each of the following ribbons/colors:

  1. 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon in 5 colors: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, and Tranquil Tide
  2. 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding in 4 colors: Berry Burst, Emerald Envy, Night of Navy, and Peekaboo Peach

  10. 3/8″ Metallic-Edged Ribbon in Gold and Silver

*I am using hostess benefits to throw in the Basic Black Mini Sequin Trim and the Silver and Gold Metallic-Edged Ribbon as additional ribbons for you.

**If you were to purchase all of these 34 rolls of ribbon yourself, it would be over $300 to purchase these with tax and shipping.

So here’s how to get your Ribbon Share:

2016-17 Annual Catalog, 2017 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration!, blog hop, Creative Circle Design Team, Liz Holloway Designs, New In-Colors, Stampin Up

Creative Circle Design Team Rock-a-Bye!

Hello and welcome to our May edition of our monthly Creative Circle Design Team’s blog hop! Every month I literally get so excited to see what these amazing ladies have to offer us all. They are all experts with their Silhouette Cameo (electric die-cutter machines) and I am still a novice. I had high hopes for using the machine more, and when I went to use it for this hop, to make an adorable baby cradle from the file our wonderful leader Liz Holloway sent us, I started having computer problems. Luckily I can still blog from my phone and tablet, I will have to get the computer in to the shop for a quick check-up and repair, wish me luck!

So forgive me, I’m going to share with you the projects I featured at my WTG (Way To Go) Day for my Top 4 downline (they accrue points on a quarterly basis for sales, recruiting, anniversary with SU, and for promotions). Unfortunately one of  girls was unable to be here this time, but she will still get her goodies! These are some “sneak peeks” at some new product coming out in our 2017-18 Annual Catalog that launches on June 1st.

Gerber daisies from our local garden center, Hewitt’s, aren’t they pretty? All four are different colors.

These little embroidered Owl totes are from 31 Bags, I saw they were on clearance rack a few weeks ago, so I ordered them for this special day.

Fresh fruit, two homemade (and a little lopsided) quiches, blueberry/peach tart, sparkling juices and other beverages rounded out our menu for breakfast.

Elizabeth, Amye and Sharon were in my top 4 as was Lisa, but she couldn’t attend, we missed you Lisa!

A few weeks ago I found these cloth covered jewelry trays at one of the big box craft stores and I just knew they’d come in handy for some special project. Well, once I went to OnStage in Toronto last month, and saw the gorgeous new papers that would launch in the new catalog- I had my idea- a daisy themed WTG Day! The colored pieces are 3″ squares in Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.

This box stands by itself, but is lighter than a frame. I plan to make other inserts through the seasons so I can rotate and keep this in my craft room. Don’t you just LOVE the new daisies?? And the new punches?? This piece features 4 new stamp sets! (I received them at OnStage as prizes!)

I was pleased with how these projects came out, I can’t wait to hear what you think!  Wondering if you would like to take a daisy making class?

The girls also made a new In-Color Stampin’ Tool- they punched, stamped and inked up this paper with the 5 new In Colors. Don’t you just love them together?? I don’t know how Stampin’ Up! manages to do it, but these colors are so on trend right now. Lemon Lime Twist is my favorite! What about you?

The supplies to make the vase of daisies was from my local Dollar General store (artificial flowers- just pluck the “heads” off and use the stems as your base) and a little candle holder worked perfectly.

We had a fabulous morning of stamping, laughing and crafting. So much fun!

Well, now I want to share a baby card, since that is our Theme after all… Rock a Bye Baby.

I used the stamp set “Little Cuties” which will retire this month, I think this is a versatile set- you can make a lot of projects with this one! I paired it with Cupcakes & Carousels DSP stack and colored my rocking horse with our awesome Watercolor Pencils! What do you think?

Thanks for visiting today, be sure to check all of the talented designers and leave us a comment- we love to hear from you! Ready to go see what Kate has created this month? Me too! Click the icon:

CCDT- April Hop- Happy Easter!

Hi Everyone!

I’m tickled pink to tell you that I am all packed for my next Stampin’ Up! adventure- our OnStage local event- I’m heading off to Toronto, Canada (yes, that was the closest location by car for me) and some of my team are going with me as well! Be sure to swing back here over the weekend to see some photos of our trip!

This Easter will be different for me, the first one without my mom, and then on top of that my sister and her family are going away for “spring break”, so I wanted to give my niece and nephew some fun Easter treats before they leave on their trip.We are actually celebrating Easter a day early so we can be together as a family. I know everyone will enjoy these treats- love the M&M’s in pastel colors! Good thing I saved my Top Note die, (it retired a few years ago, but I saw this idea on Pinterest and couldn’t resist). Also, showcasing an outgoing In Color- I’m really going to miss Cucumber Crush, what a nice vivid spring green.

These two mini egg cartons I actually purchased from a friend and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Karyn Morrison, didn’t she do an amazing job?! We were both vendors at a recent craft fair and I loved that we both had so many different items for sale. So I picked these up for my two nieces. (I hope they don’t see this post, lol) Jordan’s favorite color is pink and Claire’s favorite color is purple, so I picked out mini egg cartons in their favorite colors. Karen filled them with eos lip balm and Lindt chocolate). She was much smarter than me and ordered the egg cartons back in January when the Occasions catalog launched, whereas I thought I had more time to order them. Well, they were wildly popular and we quickly sold out of them, but the good news is- they are back, so if you want to order them- go for it! You can expedite shipping to have them here in time for Easter.

My nephew is going to get this one (I know I showed this in a previous blog post, we made this at a demo get together back in February designed by the uber talented Peggi Fleming). (I might change out the Easter basket to a blue or green one) although I did just place my own order on Tuesday so maybe I’ll make a new one just for Ethan. (I’ll let you know). 😉

I did put together my paper pumpkin kit from March and I plan to use these cuties for place settings at our table for Easter. Everyone will love some little Easter love. (good thing I had two kits for my use last month!)

And here are some Easter cards I am planning to feature at my upcoming Easter cards and treats class on April 11th. (I still have a little room, let me know if you’re interested). This one was made by one of my downline, Amye S., isn’t this adorable? I think my customers will love making these, it is filled with a little Lindt chocolate lamb.

I threw a few more pictures in here for you to see all of my Easter creations in one spot.

Well, that’s it for today, thanks so much for visiting me! Ready to go see what the amazing Kate has created for us?? I love this design team so much, everyone is SOOOO talented!

Here is the whole group:
