About Me

Hello there!

Welcome to Lynnzcrafters! A website and blog maintained by me, Lynn Streifert, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I live in Glenville, NY (that is Upstate New York) and work full time in addition to Stampin’ Up!. I was a crafter for most of my life and was actually a customer for over 4 years before I signed up to be a demonstrator in September 2008.

I was a special education teacher for over 20 years with a wonderful preschool company called Capital District Beginnings, then I left for 11 years to head up the Children with Special Needs Department in Schenectady County. In 2017, I returned to my roots at Beginnings, in a new administrative role, was very blessed. Then, when I wasn’t even looking for a job, I was called and asked if I would consider applying for the Assistant Director position at IPRO, the agency that conducts all the Early Intervention monitoring reviews of providers and counties throughout New York. I didn’t have to think long, and I was offered the position. I started at IPRO in February 2018, and absolutely love my new job! I was promoted to Director in January 2019, when my boss retired. Believe me when I say, dream big and never give up!  My work is taking me all over the state and I have loved seeing so many new parts of New York!

One thing I know for sure- I love that many of us can say connected through stamping. Sometimes my patience as a special education teacher can come in very handy when teaching complicated and challenging techniques, and I always try to think of new ways to teach my friends and customers. “Always a teacher” I guess is a great motto for me 🙂

I also love spending time with my family, I am so blessed to have a brother and sister (who happen to be twins) and they have blessed our family with their beautiful children. I am so lucky to live within a couple miles of them and enjoy all the fun “Aunt Lynnie” times that we get have… we love to go to the movies and make crafts and go out to eat. We love to travel, volunteer and spend time together.  Sadly, after a short battle, my sweet mother died in 2016 from lung cancer and we greatly miss this wonderful lady.  Then on Valentine’s Day 2019, my dear dad died suddenly. Honestly, he was heartbroken without his mate, and my family and I found comfort in the fact that he did not suffer, and joined her on Valentine’s Day, of all days.

My friends- life is short, and precious.  I hope that through visiting this blog, you will be inspired to make cards and scrapbooks and treat holders and home decor for yourself- and to give as gifts! You will find that crafting is cheaper than therapy. Please let me know if I can offer you any help with your crafting!

I welcome you to visit my Stampin Up online store, links to all my events, hundreds of samples of past projects, and many Stampin Up specials! click the link or copy and paste: http://LynnStreifert.stampinup.net into your browser.

And I have a business page on Facebook called Lynnzcrafters  New in 2019, I started doing Facebook Live videos on Sunday evenings. These videos are a way for me to share current and upcoming Stampin’ Up! products, give some tips and tricks and I even do give aways in every episode! Facebook has a habit of putting people in Facebook jail if they ask people to like, comment and share, so I have to get the word out some other way. I would appreciate it if you would like and share my page! thanks!

Hope to meet you soon!! Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

**Update- do you like my fancy blog banner and graphics? The new design is by Justin Krieger of jkcardsonline.com I highly recommend him for any design needs you might have! (Tell him you liked his work on my page!)
