Hi Stamping Friends,
Wow, do I have a lot to share with you… do you have a cup of tea on this cold, rainy Sunday while we catch up? I just made some Cinnamon Tea, yummy. *Be sure you read all the way to the bottom, and leave a comment, to be in the drawing for a free box!
I am transitioning to my new Dell, it arrived last week, I was able to set it up myself {{Smile}} but, for some reason that I can’t figure out, my external hard drive (which had all my folders, documents, photos, address book) won’t work on the new computer 😦 so, I am trying to re-create my contacts, and it literally feels like starting from scratch. It has taken me longer to do everything this past week. On top of having to recreate everything for my night class I’m teaching this summer, all my tutorials and directions for all my craft projects are not accessible right now either. I’m planning to take the external hard drive in to the shop to see if there is something that can be easily fixed. I think the most time consuming part is typing in all the email addresses again.
I had my niece and nephews for a sleep over this weekend so my sister and her hubby could celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, we did some craft projects for Father’s Day (I love having the kids make crafts for their parents), had my youngest nephew’s birthday party at a local bowling alley, and also earned another wonderful Diva Day at Deb Valder’s, one of my fabulous uplines. She had tasty treats, awesome projects and some lovely gifts for us to take home. I don’t know how she always knows how to pick things that we don’t have yet.
All of the cards and the 3D box were of course brand new items from our new Catalog that launched June 1st! we made 4 cards and this adorable box. Over the next couple days I will be sharing the other projects, but wanted to start with this Tag a Box Bundle: page 158, item # 131372, $12.50 for 8 Kraft boxes that measure 6 7/8 x 2 1/8 x 2 1/2 inches. You will have lots of tags left over after you decorate your 8 boxes, as there are 10 base tags, 10 medium builder tags, 10 mini clothespins, 3 colors of baker’s twine, dimensionals, and mini clothespins. (The Gift boxes are sold separately in a set of 8 with just the acetate sleeves for $6.95 item # 130927 and the tags are sold separately as well, it’s item # 130153 for $7.95. As you can see, you’re getting a 15% savings if you order the bundle (be sure to use the bundle item number 131372 to receive the discount!
Here are some pictures to hopefully inspire you:
The acetate sheets are easily flattened to stamp directly on the plastic, of course you want to use Stazon ink pads to stamp on plastic. This was stamped with White Stazon (page 165 item #106960 $11.95 includes the stamp pad and ink refill – the white only comes in a bundle.) When this “sleeve” is flattened, you can stamp 2 sides at a time, let dry a few minutes, then flip over and stamp the other two sides.
These boxes are “food safe” so you could make mini-muffins, cookies, nuts, mini-popcorn balls, candy or cupcakes to give as a gift. What an awesome packaging idea for holiday parties! If you have a special event coming up, and you have something to tuck inside (favors, gift cards, items small enough to fit inside), then your guests will have a memento long after they use the gift up.
What stamping project are you working on? I’d love to hear from you! Leave me a comment, let me know what you think about these Gift boxes, and our whole “Pretty Packages” line of new products (pages 158-159). I will pick one winner tomorrow morning from Random Number Generator. I will mail one box and acetate sleeve, with some tags to One Lucky Winner!
I hope you all had a wonderful Father’s Day! I know I’m thankful for a dad who is so helpful, handy, and able to fix just about everything! Well, except computers 🙂
