Step it Up! We Create Blog Hop December!

 

Hi There Stamping Friends,

Welcome to the December edition of our monthly blog hop! I am so excited to see what everyone has planned for this month’s “Step-it-Up!” Challenge!

I decided to feature a suite of products in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. I can’t believe there are only a few weeks left to order from this mini… wasn’t it a gem? I have been playing with these products since Convention in July and I am still loving them!!

Here is my first little card for you today:

This card features the Home for Christmas designer series paper (item 139592) (I just hand cut the little reindeer, isn’t this version of Rudolf so sweet?) I also used the Cozy Christmas stamp set (item #139776 wood or #139779 in clear mount). I stamped the image in Mossy Meadow ink to pull out the green stripe in the piece of Merry Moments Designer series paper (from the Annual Catalog- page 143, item #138450. I thought the 1/4 piece of tea lace doilies (item #129399) was just what the card needed for a little extra vintage touch. The 2 inch circle punch was used to punch out the sentiment, and the 2 1/2″ circle punch was used for the real red circle behind the stamped greeting. Used my fast fuse to adhere everything… what do you think?

 

Now, here’s my version of a “Stepped-Up” card:

 

For this version I added Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (item #135315 page 149 of Annual Catalog), and instead of the tea lace doilies, I replaced with one of the small metallic foil silver doilies (wasn’t it great that they were included in the Online Extravaganza!! I stocked up on these little goodies!) item# 138392. I also embossed the whisper white base with the softly falling texture impressions embossing folder (SO glad this is carrying over to the new 2016 Occasions catalog!)
