Today was a wonderful day! I had the pleasure of helping my upline (the very talented and generous Dania Welch) put on a “mini” Stampin’ Up! convention for our downline. Together with Deb Kolberg, (my “sideline”) we prepared these wonderful make and take projects shown here today. Together we had a dozen of our downline for a day of stamping, laughing, swapping, learning, inspiring and eating. We had a “Thanksgiving Inspired” theme, featuring items from our new Holiday Catalog that Stampin’ Up! is launching on August 1st. (let me know if you would like a catalog, it is chock full of wonderful wrapping, decorating, scrapbooking, card making and holiday projects!!)
This was the project that I designed and prepared (and YES, I’m planning to do a class where YOU can make this too!)

I wish I had taken a photo of everyone with their frames, each one was different and unique, there were 12 different frames and I was amazed at how wonderful they came out.
This is the Thanksgiving Tablescape Kit that will surely help everyone with their decorating this year, Dania had each of us make a place setting, candle and she gave us a food label for our dishes:

Included in this kit are all the supplies to make 10 place settings, food tents, candle wrappers, and even the chalk marker!

This is how the candle looked grouped together with some other fall decor items:

This was a card everyone made that Dania prepped for us:

This was an amazing candle votive and box (to hold the votive), perfect for gift giving, or decorating your home/office. This was created by Deb:

Dania also got us lanyard’s with her team name: Whirlwind Stampers

Dania cooked up some turkeys, and we each brought some side dishes. I am doing a 12 week weight loss challenge and wanted to be sure there was some veggies, so I made this Turkey veggie platter:

And what would a demo get together be without swaps? Last month we did a mini squares swap and decided to do it again for today. Everyone signed up for a “Bright” color in advance, and we picked the designer paper called “Modern Medley” which is a basic black and very vanilla base. I need to get another shadowbox to put my swaps in (can you guess which one is mine??)

We also made a full color chart, learned about My Digital Studio, and brainstormed ideas and thoughts of where we’d like to grow our own stamping businesses. It was a great day and I know everyone enjoyed the time together. When I got home, after unpacking everything I realized that I could watch the Stampin’ Up! Closing Ceremonies in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was “livestreaming” over You Tube. I was touched and inspired all over again. What a GREAT day! My favorite quote came from the funny and talented Bonnie Thurber, from the Stampin’ Up! Home Office: “Friends help friends make scrapbooking easy!!” and on that note, I decided I’m going to blog about scrapbooking tomorrow! Stay tuned!
Hope you know how much I appreciate each one of you readers, thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope you’ll leave a comment about something you’re thankful for, or let me know which project I showed here is YOUR favorite.
