August Club Cards

Good morning friends! Can you tell I’ve been burning the midnight oil? I have been stamping every night this week (and all weekend last weekend) and I have so many ideas, projects and exciting new cards to share with you- I’m practically bursting at the seams! Today you will see the 3 cards my friends will be making at my August Clubs (Saturday morning and Monday night once a month). What do you think?? I love to read your comments, they really make my day to hear from you! thanks and happy stamping!

I already shared the card “recipe” the other day (all the Stampin’ Up! products used to make a card) for the sunflower card. Do you like when I show you all the products? I can do it for the other two club cards, if you’re interested, please leave a comment and I will do so. thanks!

I adore the new Photopolymer set “Dear Heart” (the boy version of the “Sweetie Pie” set that sold out a few months ago- what do you think?

This card is a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from Pinterest by a stamper named Heidi- thanks so much for the inspiration! I always let my stampers change the greetings, if they want, this card would be perfect for someone going off to college, or a birthday, get well, thinking of you, and many more occasions!

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you have an awesome day!

Some other great things to know about the Big Shot:
Currently, the Big Shot utilizes two types of dies: Steel Rule and Chemically-Etched.

Steel Rule: When you think of steel rule dies, think of cookie cutters–they both work on the same principle. Steel rule dies are made by embedding an elongated razor blade into a hard wood base and then covering that blade with foam for safety. When the die is passed through the Big Shot, the foam is compressed and the blade punches through the material being cut. Because steel rule dies use a blade, you can cut more types of material as well as multiple layers of that material. Additionally, the blades can also be designed with scoring blades to create fold lines in materials.

Chemically Etched: Unlike steel rule dies, chemically etched dies can cut intricate designs. To create these dies, elaborate designs are etched into the metal using chemicals to burn away the unwanted metal. While these dies can create more intricate designs, they cannot cut as many types of materials nor can they cut multiple layers of material.

Another good thing to know is that if you have dies from other companies they will work in the Big Shot! The Big Shot is the most versatile die-cutting machine on the market today. Using the multi-purpose platform, you can use dies, embossing plates, and other products from a wide variety of sources.

Why am I telling you all of this stuff about my favorite of ALL my tools in my craft room (you might be wondering)?? Because I want to help you get the best tool on the market!

Still not convinced that YOU NEED a Big Shot? How’s this great video to show you quick and simply bows!

Or, my personal new favorite addition to our Big Shot lineup: THINLITS!

I’m Trying to Catch Up!

IMG_9668 IMG_9669 IMG_9670 IMG_9671 IMG_9672

This was my Paper Pumpkin Subscribers Thank You Night of Fun! I used all new 2014-16 In Colors as my base card stock and inks, plus the new Moonlight DSP mini paper pack, for easy peasy card making! Who doesn’t need a bunch of little gift cards?? I think everyone liked the idea- we used ALL my Paper Pumpkin stamps for all the cards, and broke out the new “And Many More” for a nice small “Congratulations” sentiment.

Of course- what kind of party is it without a little snack?? This was totally easy, patriotic, and yummy! A little sponge cake with whipped cream and berries! Since the June Paper Pumpkin kit was the pinwheel kit, I made some up as favors and decorations- did you know that Paper Pumpkin subscribers can order refills of this cute kit?? So fun and easy!

One of the things I love most about stamping get togethers (besides the fun and friendships) is the creativity! Look at these amazing cards the ladies came up with!! My philosophy when I have an event is “Here’s my sample, feel free to copy it or make this YOUR own creation”, I think my customers like this philosophy and it opens up many opportunities for them to make cards that they need and will use.

Well, if you’d like to be invited to the next Paper Pumpkin Party- be sure you either subscribe on the website and select me as your demonstrator, OR feel free to go to my Online Store at: and click “Shop” and you can order a prepaid subscription for either 1, 3, 6, or 12 months!! Use Hostess Code: NTQYK6UV and remember to sign up by August 10th at midnight. That’s it- if you are an active subscriber and show up in my list of customers, then you’ll get your invite to the next party!!

Well, that’s it for today! Hope you have an awesome day, and remember- I would LOVE to read your comments! It makes my day to hear from you!!

Happy stamping!

Awesome Weekend, How was Yours?

Hi Friends!

Did you have a happy 4th of July weekend? Mine was fun-filled and busy! My nephew Ethan informed me that it was time for a sleep-over! I love that kid, and how sentimental he is. I love that they love to spend time with me, and I treasure family time!! Here’s some of the fun we had:

We went for a hike… Unfortunately the trail was full of mud and bugs which didn’t thrill these two).

They helped me with errands, and we got the graduation supplies for my niece Jordan’s party coming up, and needed a sweet treat- have you tried Sweet Frog? Yummo!!

Love the Glenville Sports-Plex right near us, we had the bumper cars to ourselves!

Later Claire helped me create this awesome card holder for Jordan’s party. Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler baker’s twine to the rescue- used a whole package to make this tassle. Hot glued the top on a box that I covered in Basic Black cardstock.

My sister had a delicious BBQ… corn on the cob, burgers, dogs, fruit salad, pasta salad, and yummy treats for dessert.

In addition to brownies and cherry pie- she also made these amazing patriotic red/white/blue strawberries. They were delicious!!

The ribbon came in last week and I was determined to get that all cut, wrapped and bagged up. Tried cutting ribbon in the living room while watching a show on my DVR, but that wasn’t a good set up. Moved to the dining room table, spread out and was able to finish all the ribbon shares yesterday! I sent an email to everyone in the ribbon share- hope to meet up with people this week and get you all your new goodies!  THANKS again to all of you who participated!

I also organized my current versus retired stamps in my craft room, and worked on a Project Life album, ordered 200 more photos for the big graduation party!

I’m gearing up for my Paper Pumpkin subscribers party, my NEW clubs, Jordan’s graduation party (and birthday this week too!), and I haven’t even started my convention swaps yet! I have a feeling I’ll be bringing them with me on the plane at this rate.

Well, that’s all for now- I will be placing an order this week, if you need anything let me know!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today- I wish you all a very Happy Monday!!

Why try it??

  • At the cottage for the summer?Paper Pumpkin can be delivered anywhere you’re going to be- just change your address by the 10th of the month for that month’s delivery.

Did you see what I did with some of my pinwheels from the June kit?? I added it to my SUMMER banner:

I even had a banner class, and made pinwheels and other Patriotic crafts  with some very special Senior Citizens yesterday. They loved them!!
