Spring Banner Blast

The other night I had a small group of stampers over, (at my last team get together my team asked if I would do a spring banner class- don’t worry, I will repeat in case anyone else wants to make one too- let me know). Here’s how they did- aren’t they so sweet?? Love every single one of these, I think they are awesome!

Here’s Jamie with her banner, (hope I’m not spoiling the surprise by showing the photo on my blog, forgive me Jamie if this was supposed to be a secret).

banner shayna

This is Shayna holding her beautiful banner, can you see the cute doilies on the top of each letter? I think it’s just adorable with these doilies!

banner danielle

Here is Danielle and she wanted to personalize her banner by having the banner bases only in pink and yellow, and you know what- that’s what I’m all about- I WANT all my stampers/customers/friends/downline to ALWAYS create something they love- I don’t want carbon copies of mine (unless you love it and want it to be the same)- I work hard to ensure people always know they can customize their projects.

That being said, here is Amye- who wanted to make one just like mine (notice the elegant bird die on top of the banners- it is on the clearance rack, so I was comfortable using this die). Amye is the only one who incorporated the birds. Like I said, it should be a personal choice, I know lots of people who don’t care for birds.

banner spring

This was my banner, I cased the idea from Pinterest, from a gal named Dawn T, and I loved the Gingham Garden color pallet she used, and all the scallop flowers made from the big shot were just the perfect finishing touches.

So what do you think? Do you want to make a SPRING banner? This is a time intensive class, I will need to do some more prep so if you are interested, please contact me at LStreifert@nycap.rr.com I can only accommodate 8 people in my stamp room at a time. This would be a $20 class and would include snacks, beverages, and all the supplies to make an awesome banner. I could do another class on April 27th, a Sunday afternoon, that is my first opportunity, if that doesn’t work, let me know- I can do another one later that week.

Have an awesome day, thanks for stopping by to read my blog!

A Few of My Favorite Things…

Good Morning Stamping Friends! Are you all plowed or shoveled out yet? Brrr, this has been a cold spell. Luckily I’ve had my tea kettle and portable heater going non-stop while I’ve been busy in the craft room (it’s the coldest room in the house in the winter as it’s above my garage). Did you have a chance to look at the new 2014 Occasions Catalog online yet? (I posted it yesterday, but notice the new little icon on the left side? see it over there? just click it and it will take you to the new catalog).

My #1 Favorite new product in this new Occasions catalog is our new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (I showed it to you yesterday) but here is a nifty You Tube Video (only 3 minutes) that shows you how versatile this wonderful new punch is… it makes tags, inserts for cards, belly bands (not just for candy, candles or boxes, but think of anything you need to “wrap” around- just punch both ends and presto- an instant belly band!) and the bookmark is super cute too! This is item #133324 and the price is $22.95(We also have another new tag topper punch that is just angled and is just as awesome, but there’s no video featuring it… sorry).

My second favorite new product is the Spiral Flower Die for the Big Shot. It makes amazing flowers in no time at all. My dear friend Jamie gave me a quilling pen, which is the perfect holder to get started in twirling the strip around to make a flower. It is so much fun and these flowers would be adorable in a small vase, or on a tag, gift box, headband, picture frame, the possibilities are endless! Here’s a really quick video from Stampin’ Up! to show you how to use this awesome die.  This is item #129379 and the price is $17.95

My third favorite new product is a bundle… that means you save 15% when you purchase the bundle over buying these items separately. This bundle is called Perfect Pennants Bundle and it’s shown here in clear-mount option, but of course it comes in wood mount version as well. This is the stamp set Perfect Pennants and the new Banners Framelits Dies for the Big Shot. Make dozens of cards, valentines, bookmarks, favors, tags, bulletin boards, gift wrap, and much more! I am using this bundle non-stop, it is my new “go to” stamp set that I am finding use for birthday, sympathy, valentines, hello and much more! The clear mount bundle item #is 134816 and is $41.50 for both the entire framelits set and stamp set!

I have created a few new projects for Dania’s downline meeting Wednesday night, as well as my two clubs that are starting a fresh next Saturday and Monday, and for another downline team get together next Sunday. I don’t want to spoil all the Make and Takes, so I’ll post those projects once we’ve made them. Is there anything you’d like to see me make? Just leave a comment and I will try to get it on my calendar this month or next. thanks for stopping by my blog, I hope you have a nice weekend and enjoyed “seeing” some new products- they look bigger than in the catalog this way, so I thought it would be a great way for you to check some things out.
