Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die- I love it!!

Hi there stamping friends- did you get shoveled out? I don’t know about you, but I was glad the meteorologists were off with their predictions! Back to stamping news, boy I can’t say enough about these new adorable thinlits dies for your Big Shot machine!

(Don’t have a big shot yet?? Now is a great time to give Stampin’ Up! starter kit a try- get your big shot and grab some dies or folders- contact me and I can help you figure out how to get the MOST product you possibly can!)

Here is our cute little mini treat bag we featured at our Stamping Event last Saturday- we used the new Sale-a-bration Paper for a fun festive look:

bag1

I am always inspired, and slightly in awe, of the Artisan Design Team at Stampin’ Up! this year they have an international group of demonstrators and some of them recently shared their mini treat bag creations, so I thought I’d share with you, what do you think? I think you need this die- it is a must have for all your upcoming holidays and parties!

bag barbara meyer

This set was created by the very talented German demonstrator Barbara Meyer, I might not be able to read her blog, but I sure can admire (and CASE) her projects. Love it!

bag mercedes weber

The uber talented Mercedes Weber created these fun bags, I even love how she photographs her work, stunning! I must try the vellum for these bags, genius!

bag cindy schuster

Look at how Cindy Schuster turned the mini-treat bag into a gift card holder- wowza, if you didn’t want it before, I bet you want it now, am I right? Just make an insert to fit inside this bag and glue dot (or make tabs) to hold your gift card! Super smart Cindy!!

bag sarah sagert

Last but certainly not least is this cute trio from the amazing Sarah Sagert. Love her work, and boy- aren’t these cute for Valentine’s treats?? I can’t tell if she used a thin butcher type paper (like the paper SU used to put in our orders for packing) or if it is our crumb cake card stock, maybe I’ll go to her blog and ask her.

so what do you think? Need it? Hope so, let me know, I have an order going in on Friday 1/30 after work. Or link up to the order from my online website by using the hostess code below, order will ship directly to you.

Irresistibly Yours!

Hi there stamping friends! I hope you’re having a great week so far! I had a chance to play some more with my favorite new paper- Irresistibly Yours!! This paper is so awesome- check it out:

This paper is only available through March 30, 2015 as a FREE selection – when you buy $50 in Stampin’ Up! items (either through me or my online store), you can select this as your choice! Don’t have your own Sale-a-bration catalog yet? Contact me and I’m happy to mail you one!

 card SASjan

This photo showcases the Irresistibly Yours paper (see the three cards that I sponged?)… these are the cards for the Stamp-a-Stack event that was scheduled for last night- but due to the weather predictions, I decided to be safe and postponed it to next week. My stampers will be making 10 cards- they will get to decide what stamps, colors, or sentiments they want to use for their cards.

Since today’s Tuesday, I thought I would share the newest weekly deals (good until Monday February 2nd at midnight). I have to say, I love that Stampin’ Up! is offering the texture boutique as a weekly deal, I have been thinking of getting it for all the events and classes that I have, this is a no brainer now, it’s on sale, plus my discount, makes this a must have now.

Some of my stamping friends are heading to Orlando, Florida for the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference, wishing everyone a safe trip and looking forward to all your posts and pictures, have fun!

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by to read the blog today, stay warm and safe, wherever you are! (leave a comment and let me know if you got all the snow they were predicting). 🙂

January Jamborre!

Hi there stamping friends!

By now I hope you’ve looked over our new 2015 Occasions Catalog (aka the “Spring” catalog)… did you fall in love with our new stamps, dies, bundles, punches, blendabilities, papers, and accessories?? Did you see the beautiful butterflies dies??  I know, me too. So maybe you’re trying to figure out how you can earn as much as possible for FREE? I love to help my friends, family and customers earn as much free Stampin’ Up! product as possible! So here is an idea that might work for some of you.

Stampin’ Up! is in the DSA (Direct Sales Association), and one of our options for selling our products is via a hostess at a home party. Well, I know that not everyone has a space big enough for friends and family to come over to stamp and play. Although I’ve offered my craft room to be used, some are just not comfortable with asking their friends and family to be “obligated” to buy something. Believe me, I understand that feeling (hi I’m Lynn and I’m addicted to home parties)…. lol  🙂

jj2015logo200

Well, I thought of a way to help you EARN the same hostess rewards, but not have to clean your house or invite anyone to your stamping party- are you ready? It’s my new January Jamborre! (pronounced JamBearEEEEE) …. What is the January Jamborre??? (it is not that cute nail wrap craze going around)… Well, for the first 10 people who contact me and say “I’m in for the January Jamborre!” will receive the opportunity to receive hostess rewards on their $100 minimum order. (this offer cannot be combined with the new Blendabilities deal as that is already a very good deal and includes hostess rewards built in to the price).  Normally hostess rewards do not begin until you have a minimum of $150 in orders… but when we combine 10 people who order $100 minimum in products, then the rewards are amazing!! And I can share them with everyone in the group (and no one has to bake brownies or clean the bathroom) 🙂

IMG_3189

What do you get for $100? Well- first you pick out your $100 in Stampin’ Up! products from any catalog (Annual Catalog or Occasions Catalog). Next, you get to pick  2 free Sale-a-bration choices! Then, you add either One Half Off item (first 4 people who request this will get it) OR $20 Hostess Rewards dollars to be used on anything- including exclusive hostess stamp sets found in the back of each catalog! And Last but not Least, each of you will receive a set of three handmade cards featuring all new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration 2015 products as my added thanks!! (made by me!!) I will figure out tax/shipping and handling and give you the total for your order. For the first four people who opt in and want the half price item- it can be used on anything current- like the Big Shot machine, or our entire Marker Collection. (that would be about a $50 value).  *please do not use a hostess code for my January Jamborre offer, I will be manually typing these orders in myself, thanks.

If you don’t have your own catalog yet- no worries- I’ve added the links to our online catalog over on the left toolbar, just click and it should open right away for you. Of course I want to get these two new awesome catalogs in your hands- so let me know if you need them and I’ll get them right out to you!

ALSO- did you know that Prepaid Paper Pumpkin Subscriptions can count and can help you earn free SAB products?? During Sale-A-Bration, you can get a 3-month Paper Pumpkin Prepaid Subscription for just $54.85. Get a discount and instantly qualify for a Sale-A-Bration reward? (contact me for the paper pumpkin 3 month prepaid code, and you will receive an email to redeem this deal once it is paid and the party closes).

My January Jamborre is the perfect option for those of you who love Stampin’ Up!’s products, want to earn hostess rewards and SAB items, but {for whatever reason} can’t have a home party. (and this will certainly help me out on my quest for earning the cruise too, so thanks!!)

If orders exceed the $1000 party threshold we are aiming for, then I will contact you and adjust your hostess rewards up accordingly.

What is the time frame on this offer? Sign up with  me by January 15th, 2015 (or while spots remain available). Then submit your orders and payment to me by January 22nd. (checks must arrive by January 16th to be deposited and cleared for ordering on January 22nd). Your orders will come to me and I will arrange pick up/delivery with you that works out best for both of us. (Orders should arrive by February 1st). *** If people sign up early and/or pay by credit card, I might be able to move this timeline up a bit… it will definitely be here in time for you to make some adorable Valentines treats and cards!

*Now if you love this idea, but just can’t swing it in January- I may repeat this in February and/or March- if there is enough interest. Just contact me and let me know if you might be interested in this Jamborre another month.

If you know anyone who is looking for some new fresh stamping supplies, or may want to stock up on paper, envelopes and adhesives and might want to jump in on this deal- please pass on my info to them! If they order from me (and are a new customer to me who has never ordered before- then you will receive a $10 gift certificate to use on anything you want- product or classes!)

If you have any questions, let me know!

Need someplace to jot down your wish list? Here’s something you can print out and use to keep track- use one side for the Occasions Catalog and the other side for the Annual Catalog (inks, paper, adhesives, dies, supplies).

just click:  Wish List!   (it will open as a PDF one page sheet for you to print out).

Something that jumped out at me right away was this beautiful bouquet kit… what do you think? Would you like to take this as a class?

Thanks so much for stopping by today and reading my blog! I’m going to be copying/pasting this information into a newsletter later this week as well since I know all my customers don’t subscribe to this blog feed and visa versa. Don’t want to miss anyone!

Have a great day! Happy Hump Day!

Birthday Party!, Stampin Up

My 50th Birthday Party!

IMG_0023 (2)

Yesterday was a very special day- my family and friends threw me a wonderful 50th birthday party! Although my birthday is not until April 22nd, with Spring Break, Easter, and people traveling, the girls decided to have the party in March… and what a way to say good-bye to winter. The party was at the Turf Tavern in Scotia, and it was so yummy and delicious. My sisters, SIL’s, nieces, and my BFF decorated, had a photo booth with props, made adorable favors, had huge balloons, yummy cake from Villa Italia, a very touching slide show (lots of baby pictures and fun times) set to amazing music- thanks to Kristen- what an awesome job (and I KNOW how hard and time-consuming those slide shows are- so THANKS A MILLION!)!!, a boa and tiara to wear (I think I should wear the tiara every day until my birthday- what a way to say good-bye to 49!) I was so humbled by the love and laughter, cards and gifts, and will treasure all these photos for years to come.

Here is the favor that my friend (and newest downline Amye) created and helped my sister Sue and niece Claire to make for the party, aren’t these elegant? (A nice use for the new Spiral Flower Die in our Occasions Catalog!!)

IMG_0171

And look at this yummy cake! It was the Strawberry Cream from Villa Italia, one of my Favorites!

IMG_0072

Many of my friends have asked that I not post them on facebook, so to respect their wishes (and because this blog is linked to my facebook page), I’m not going to share the group photos or individuals of them.

Here is one of my favorites, with my family:

IMG_0041 (2)

Sue and Claire (I’m not sure if they had help, if so THANKS!!) did an amazing job of making a photo booth, with dozens of props (I can’t imagine how long it took them to make them all, what a lot of cutting!!) Sue wanted themes from every decade I’ve been alive, so there were 60’s, 70’s, 80’s (well you get the idea)… so fun!

IMG_0013

My brother-in-law dropped in with my nephews at the end of the party, and they had a ball dressing up for the photos too, I love this one:

IMG_0145

IMG_0150

Are they adorable, or what?

IMG_0032

This is a great photo of my mother and I… true story I had the same blouse on and almost wore it to the party! Wouldn’t that have been funny?!?!?

IMG_0036

I love this one of my niece Jordan and my mom, love their smiles!

IMG_0043 (2)

Sue, Claire and I- love this one too!!

I am the luckiest girl alive to have such awesome, generous, amazing family and friends!! You made me feel so loved and special and I am so grateful that you helped me celebrate the big 5-0!! I’ve been told there’s more to come, I don’t really know what that means, and I don’t really like surprises, but I have to say if I’ve got to turn 50, and hey- it’s just a number- then I’m all for having fun! Sue, Kristen, Kathy, Mom, Claire, Jordan, Jane, (Eric, Blake and Ethan too!) you are so wonderful and I can’t thank you enough!! Love You!

My deepest thanks to everyone who made my party such a fun and special day! LOVE YOU! smooooch!! xoxoxoxo

Want some Stampin’ Up! News?
Do you like receiving newsletters from me?
If you didn’t receive this one this morning,
then contact me so I can add you to my e-newsletter list!

Hi There Stamping Friends!
I just wanted to reach out to you and let you know that there are three amazing offers from Stampin’ Up! that are ending today – everything ends at midnight in my online store, or 8 pm if you need me to place the order in my last order of the month:

1. Sale-a-bration {the customer rewards once a year extravaganza}
The exclusive items that you can pick for each $50 order will disappear
after midnight… did you get your free gift? This year I have to say I
LOVED everything! Although if I had to pick a favorite- it would be the
Designer Series Paper Sweet Sorbet- the colors and possibilities are endless!
(I stocked up on this for some upcoming craft fairs- beautiful for Easter/Passover and Spring Cards!)

2. “Best of Stamp Sets”– did you start to collect any of the Best of Sets from 2013? Remember for every 6 sets you collected, save the “25” sticker and put it on your Collectors card- mail in to the address right on the collectors card to Stampin’ Up! You pick out any stamp set valued at $14.95 or less and SU mails it right to you FOR FREE, no tax/shipping! I picked out 2 sets from the annual catalog that I had been wanting, and when they arrived I was so happy!

3. Like Cinderella, at midnight tonight the Paper Pumpkin FREE Markers deal ends. The monthly craft kit in the mail is an awesome way to get started with stamping, OR a wonderful gift to give that special someone. You can go on “hold” or stop ordering at anytime, and it’s only $19.95 per month + tax, but it’s free shipping! Paper Pumpkin subscribers are now able to order past kits and REFILLS from past kits! And the free set of markers deal (that ends tonight) is a nice reward for joining PP.

In addition, I am throwing a Paper Pumpkin Party on Thursday April 17th from 6:30-9:30 pm. This is a drop in event- just come for any part of the evening… come for 5 minutes or stay the whole time- it’s up to you. I’m going to have card stock and Paper Pumpkin items you can make.I will have snacks, goodie bags, and prizes to ALL my subscribers! It’s just a way to say thanks to my faithful friends who have signed up. You don’t need to bring a thing! IF you are a subscriber and can’t make it that night, I will get your goodies to you somehow after the party.

*Also, if I get 1 more subscriber by midnight tonight, then I earn a new fun stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and to make the Paper Pumpkin Party even sweeter, I’m going to raffle off one of this month’s kits (the March kit has the wooden cut outs that say “Thank you” and “Congrats”. RSVP by 4/13 so I have enough snacks, and prep enough card stock for the party.

Whew, that’s a lot of news, I hope my computer worked- I set it to deliver this email to your inbox at 9:00 am, (I took an online marketing course and I learned that is when most people are just opening their Inbox… we’ll see if that works).

I love being your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and please let me know if you have any questions!
Have a great day!

March Club Cards

Good Morning Friends!! How was your week? Mine was super hectic, burning the midnight oil so to speak to get my monthly club projects ready for the weekend. I have my Saturday morning club and Monday evening club. Both are going well and I’m always willing to start a new club if we can get 5-6 new stampers together. Contact me if you want to get a group going. It’s a lot of fun! (Right club ladies… chime in here in the comments below).

 march club 1

Since this is the last month that we’ll have Sale-a-bration opportunities to earn free products, I really wanted to make sure my stamping friends could try even more product out. My line up this month is featuring many punches, new Designer Series Paper, and of course new stamp sets. Please let me know if you would like any “ingredients” for any of these cards. Feel free to ask a question here on this blog page or email me for more info.

march club2

When I first saw the alligators popping up all over Pinterest, I knew I needed to make one. This one is a case (copy and share everything) card from a fellow demonstrator named Jennifer T. she is an Artisan award winner and does beautiful work. I modified it a little bit with the paper and supplies I had on hand.

march club3

This card was created out of a mistake, don’t you love it when you make a mistake and you like what you fixed better anyway?? This card features our Sale-a-bration DSP called Sweet Sorbet and is my absolute favorite thing from SAB this year. It is so pretty and fun to work with.

march club4

I needed a St. Patrick’s Day card and thought my club ladies would appreciate this soft watercolor wonder paper as a background. I had made a card with 4 leaf clover a few years ago and I just modified that one for this idea. It’s the full heart punch (make 6 of them) score in 1/2 and run all through the Decorative Dots Textured embossing folder, available only for Sale-a-bration!

march club5

This card is a bit more advanced but I knew I wanted to use another Sale-a-bration stamp from See You Later Alligator stamp set, and I thought “You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Grey” was a perfect sentiment to put on a Smoky Slate card. I went on pinterest and found Sandy H’s awesome card and had to case it. I can picture adding flowers to the vine, in front of the fence, and even adding a rainbow to spice this card up some more. But suffice to say, this is a lot of steps. But my club ladies are worth it.

Four cards this month, no 3 D items this time… next month will have Easter and of course other cards and projects featuring more new product from the Occasions Catalog.

Won’t you please leave me a comment, let me know which card is your favorite? And comment if you’d like more info about joining a monthly stamping club.

thanks and have a great weekend!

Sale-a-Bration Questions Answered

sab1Hi there stamping friends!

How are you? Are you surviving our vicious winter? I could do without all the snow, who’s with me? I was pretty relieved that the college canceled classes for tonight (I’m sure my students were too), so I decided to catch up on some questions I have been receiving from several people about Sale-a-Bration.

First of all, Sale-a-Bration (or SAB for short) is a wonderful time of year where Stampin’ Up! pulls out all the stops and rewards customers, hostesses, demonstrators and new recruits.

SAB-tablet

How do I earn something free? For every $50 you spend during Sale A Bration gets you  your choice of anything from the Rewards brochure! Let me know if you did not receive yours. Here is a link to it online: http://su-media.s3.amazonaws.com/media/catalogs/NA/20131119_SAB_EN/20131119_SAB_en_US.pdf

sab_dots-folder

What are the bundles in the front of the SAB flyer? What if I already have that ink pad? Many people have been confused by all the bundles in the Sale-a-Bration brochure. The bundles are SUGGESTIONS only. You do NOT have to purchase a bundle in order to earn a SAB freebie. They are there to help people who might have trouble pulling together a $50 order to get the rewards. (Sometimes new stampers say they are overwhelmed by the size of our catalog, so Stampin’ Up! decided to try these new bundles, with just one code for all the items pictured).

What if I decide to host a party?  First of all, great idea! Whether you want to have some friends over to stamp cards or make some little treat holders or 3D items, or even if you want to try making one of our kits, a home party is a fun time! If you are a hostess between now and March 31st  you will get an extra $30 in free hostess merchandise when your party hit $300 or more, plus a free BONUS thank you gift from me at your party! I have several dates left on my Sale A Bration calendar, but act quickly if you have a date in mind–otherwise we can set up a “book party” and you can collect orders from friends and family members–and items can ship straight to them! I will set up a hostess code for you  and then you just pass out some catalogs to friends/neighbors/coworkers/family or have them shop from my online store. The hostess code I give you will link all sales to your “party” and you can earn free products with a minimum of $150 in product orders.

host

I have been thinking of joining Stampin’ Up! it looks fun and I like the events you offer, is this a good time to join?  YES it is a great time to sign up and get the Starter Kit during Sale-a-Bration as you get an extra $25 worth free added to the kit, for a total of $150 worth of anything YOU PICK to go in your kit! There is tax but no shipping, so it’s like having a massive coupon, and a great way to build your supplies and get started. SAB is the best time of year to join Stampin’ Up!

545990_717172461646371_229233469_n

I absolutely ADORE all of my downline… Jamie, Tina, Kim, Wendy, Judy, Amye… and although I’ve lost a few (for understandable reasons) we’re still friends and they’re still stampers… I thought I would let you know some of the fun we’ve had as a Lynnzcrafters teams: a weekend get-away crafting weekend, monthly team stamping get togethers (I supply the projects and we have yummy snacks), I share my products- that’s right I loan things out to my downline so they don’t have to buy it all, I offer training, orientation and will meet 1-1 with new recruits, answer your questions quickly and you also are welcome to my two upline’s monthly get togethers as well. Does this sound like FUN to you?? I would LOVE to welcome you to my team- and during SAB you get to pick out even MORE stuff for your kit! Only $99 to join and you get $150 worth of new products. Come stamp with me! My next team get together at my house is February 21st, let me know if you’d like to come try us out!

Let’s get the party started! Email me if you have questions, need a catalog, or want to place an order–or shop online from the comfort of your own home anytime day or night, my email is LStreifert@nycap.rr.com and I look forward to hearing from you. What would YOU like to try this SAB 2014? Order, Host, or Join?? I hope so!

1510398_709956942367923_1198113455_n

See all the SAB products I used on these two cards? The banner blast stamp set and banner punch with the new  Decorative Dots Texture Embossing Folder are just a few of my favorites in this years SAB offerings.

Well, what do you think? Did I answer all your questions? I hope so. Let me know if you think of any other ones! Stay safe out there!

Thanks for taking the time to read by blog tonight, stay warm!

What a BIG Day!

Hi there crafty friends!

First of all, I MUST wish my awesome niece Claire a very Happy 9th Birthday!

claire

I showed you the Card in a Box I made for her on Sunday, but wanted you to see the birthday girl herself! This photo was taken by my other niece Jordan, who did Claire’s hair for the father-daughter dance on Friday night. I have to give a shout out to my sister Sue, (who is much more artistic than I am)- Sue made this mask out of tulle, craft paint, gems, feathers and I think some hot glue. It was a week long process to create this one-of-a-kind special mask. (Although there was a contest for most original mask, alas they didn’t win- but I don’t think the judges asked any questions or looked too closely) What do you think of this mask?? Beautiful, right?

Well, onto other big Stampin’ Up News- grab the coffee there’s a lot to report. First of all, today is the first day of Sale-a-Bration!

And here are some cards that showcase the wonderful Designer Series Paper (called Sycamore Street). This is a package of 12×12 papers and designs are on both sides. I have made dozens of cards and boxes with this wonderful paper, AND it is awesome for scrapbooking! Bright colors and fun patterns!

Today at one of my upline’s team meetings (New York Inketts with Deb Valder), we did a take off of Cupcake Wars called Crafting Wars. There were four contestants who signed up in advance (due to an absence, I stepped in as contestant #4 today). There were 3 judges and just like cupcake wars, there was a “challenge”, a time limit and basic stamping supplies. Since I hadn’t signed up in advance, I didn’t prepare in any way, and only brought my basic stamping kit- trimmer, snail, scissors, adhesives and bone folder.

The tables were set with the same supplies: Madison Ave stamp set, clear blocks, 3 ink pads, 1 package of getting started collection (assorted colors) cardstock, 1 package Sycamore Street DSP (Designer Series Paper), 1 ribbon/button bundle from Sale-a-bration, a sponge, and other components for each challenge.

Challenge 1 included a 4 1/4 x 11″ piece of whisper white card stock, a 4 x 5 1/4 piece whisper white card stock, 1 stamped and die cut whale. The challenge theme was “Spring” and we had to incorporate all the elements into our card. Here’s what I came up with:

I was pretty surprised to make it to the next round. I tried covering up some stamping mistakes with some elements… I guess it worked! Did I say we only had 10 minutes for the challenge?? I was sweating buckets let me tell you.

So, I made it to round 2 and this time the challenge was a Fancy Favor die box, a 12x 1″ strip of  designer paper, and small strip of whisper white card stock.  Deb announced that we should try to incorporate elements from our first project, carryover the spring theme and when we were five minutes into the challenge, Deb brought around a “Secret ingredient” we had to incorporate into the finished product. It was a silver plated frame and 2 mini brads. Well, luckily I made a stamping mistake- and I quickly incorporated the frame to make my flower pop (and cover up my error). Don’t you love it when that works out? I do that quite often in my ordinary stamping… what’s your biggest stamping blunder?  Anyway, here’s what I came up with for round 2:

Well I was thinking I’d be eliminated for sure, but the judges liked how I sponged all along the bottom of the box (did I already tell you I was covering up another stamping mistake??) … well I was tickled pick to make it to the final round (deep down I have a little competitive spirit that doesn’t get challenged nearly enough- unless I’m playing oh Cranium, Scene it, Scattegories, and other board games).

So for the final round, myself and another demonstrator named Ronny, we were to create a two page scrapbook spread with 2 pieces of 8×8 whisper white cardstock. We were told to continue to use the “spring” theme and to carryover the concepts we used on the other 2 projects. Oh, and we got to pick an assistant. Of course, I looked up and invited my friend and downline Jamie DeCanio to come be my assistant. She laughingly said to me “Oh Lynnie, I haven’t scrapbooked in years”, well neither have I actually, but she knows my style and I thought we’d work well together. Did I tell you we only had 10 minutes to create a 2 page scrapbook spread??? Jamie cut card stock, cut DSP, tied ribbons, and assembled my little envelopes for me. Here’s what we came up with:

The whole afternoon was a ton of fun, oh my goodness I laughed so hard and really enjoyed the creativity (yes, even with a timer going)! I challenge you to try it sometime, set out some supplies, set the timer and just make something! You might be surprised at what you come up with. Well, I didn’t win Craft Wars, but I did get to take home all the remaining goodies, the rest of the cardstock, designer series paper, the ribbon/button bundle and the stamp set.
