Spring Fling is Finalized!

spring fling final 4
4 cards you will make at Spring Fling

Hey there stampers! Well, we did it! My friend and downline Jamie came over tonight and  we plugged away to finalize the cards we will be making at the Spring Fling on Thursday March 21st! It is a Card Making event being held at the Glenville Hills Fire Department (NOT the West Glenville FD that I mentioned in a previous post- my bad- so sorry! glad to catch my error before I made flyers and sent out emails!) Anyway, we plan on having room for 25 stampers, it is on a first RSVP basis. You can RSVP through me, or you Lynnzcrafter’s team member (Jamie, Kim, Tina, Elizabeth, Marilyn, Wendy or Judy). It is a $15 class fee which covers paper supplies, your envelopes, snacks, bottled water, and DOOR PRIZES! However, if you place a $25 order (before tax/shipping/handling) or more- then you will not pay for the class fee! it will be free!! Who doesn’t like FREE?? However, if you RSVP we do need to hold you to your spot- we’re taking you at your word and your RSVP may prevent someone else from attending if we fill up. SO, if you have a sick child or some horrible situation pops up, that prevents you from attending, you will receive your kit as a “To-GO” kit and you will work out a pick-up time and still be responsible for either ordering or just paying the $15 class fee. If there is “Winter Weather” that causes the Scotia-Glenville School District to cancel their after school or evening activities, then we will postpone the Spring Fling Event- we don’t want anyone taking unnecessary risks on the roads. We will let you know the rescheduled date as soon as possible, in the event of bad weather. This card making event is similar to the ones we’ve done since last summer at the Elks Club. When you arrive, you will check in and receive your packet of pre-cut and pre-scored card stock with all the corresponding layers and pieces you will need to go stamp/punch/cut/emboss. All the supplies will be set up at tables and you will rotate around the room, working at the 4 stations, at your own pace, until you are done. My team and I will be there to help you, should you need it, at any stage of the assembly. Door prizes will consist of a variety of items including: stamps, papers, ribbons, embellishments, hand-made items (by myself and my team). We ask that you RSVP no later than Noon on Saturday March 16th, as we have a great deal of preparing to do in advance of this event. We all work full time jobs and Stampin’ Up is something we do in our “Spare time”… (although I’m sure I’m not the only one who WISHES it was their full time job- am I right ladies???) I sincerely hope that if you’ve never stamped before, or never attended a Stampin’ Up event before, you’ll consider our Lynnzcrafter’s SPring Fling! Thank you for taking the time to read this blog, and feel free to leave me a comment or ask a questions.Until tomorrow, Happy Stamping!!~Lynn Streifert

Introducing Photopolymer by Stampin’ Up!

photopolymer-03

Let’s get to talking about the benefits of photopolymer stamps. For those who are unfamiliar, let me point out a couple of things I personally find really cool.

First, they’re completely clear, making it oh-so-easy to stamp exactly where you want. They come unmounted, on an acetate sheet, and temporarily adhere to our clear blocks. Awesome!

Second, they are pliable. Want your arrow to shoot a certain way? No problem! Want your banner to have the perfect sag? Easy peasy! Being able to play with the shape gives you even more creative freedom.

So without further adieu, let me introduce you to the Designer Typeset Stamp Set. It’s based around a really great san serif font that will work well on just about any project. And then there are embellishments and shapes to take whatever you want to say to the next level. The possibilities are seriously endless.

This stamp set is item #132956 and is $13.95. We recommend clear block sizes A, B, G, F, and I (not included in the set).

I was sooooo excited to get home from work and have this arrive in my SU order! Now I can play with it myself!! I’ll be sure to post pictures when I have my own samples. *The photos at the top of this blog are from the SU website, made by one of the concept artists. Awesome, eh?

Stampin’ Up! may introduce more of the photopolymer stamps in the future, based on whether you all like these or not. So, let me know if you’re interested in ordering this set. You can shop in my online store 24/7 at http://LynnStreifert.stampinup.net

Until tomorrow, happy Stamping!!
