2nd Annual Christmas Retreat

Hi there friends, First of all, I want to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving! May your turkey be juicy and your potatoes not lumpy!

Did you notice anything new here on my blog?? How do you like my new header and buttons? The amazing Justin Krieger of jkcardsonline.com created all my new elements!! Didn’t he do a fabulous job? I feel like such a grown up! The owls were cute, but I’ve had them for over 6 years now, time for a blog and Facebook make-over. I have matching business cards and return address labels now too. I’d love to know what you think!

Last, but not least, I wanted to share some photos of my 2nd (Annual) Creative Christmas Retreat! I started this event last year, I wanted a way to include everyone on my team at an all day crafting event. They couldn’t all attend, so I invited some special friends to fill up the room. I’m thankful to have been able to have this event at the Clifton Park Elks again this year, and Mike Bloss outdid himself with delicious spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Friends brought some yummy snacks to share as well!

I found this terrific game online and thought this would be perfect for the ladies to play throughout the day and earn some raffle tickets!

This area is the lending library, I brought dozens of my stamps, punches, dies, big shots, and paper cutters.

This ballroom is huge, and provided us with ample space for crafting all day!

You can see Kathy and Amye hard at work helping me to set up each spot.

My fabulous helpers Kathy, Amye, and Patty helped me set the room up so everyone had a nice work area and their Stampin’ Up! products and gifts were waiting for them at their spot. Everyone received this canvas zippered tote bag, ceramic mug, Let it Snow embellishment kit, Jingle Bells, Snowflake Sequins, and Snowfall Accents Puff Paint! Then the items inside the snowman gift bag were all the pre-cut paper supplies they used to assemble my 8 Make and Take projects! The hot cocoa here was for one of the M&Ts.

we had this cute little hot cocoa station and the girls were able to use their own mug that was part of their gift.

Could you guess what my theme was? Let it snow… How cute is this little snowman sign?

I feel so blessed that my team and friends from near and far were able to come together for this day. My friend Jacki came all the way from New Hampshire! And Nancy, Addie and Susan are my bingo regulars, so happy they could join us!

Nellie came all the way from Saugerties! Sue and Theresa came from Queensbury! And Amye didn’t have far to travel, but she came early and stayed late to help me with set up and clean up! Thanks friend!

Three of these ladies (Lisa, Jess and Nicole) came from Johnstown. I’m so touched that so many traveled a great distance to come to this event! Look at those sharp Ott lights Cindy and Sheila brought, cool right?

Laurie came over last week to help me punch and die cut almost everything we needed for all the M&Ts. Patty also helped with set up and clean up. Thanks friends. Molly and Jill made some gorgeous cards!

Pam and Elizabeth came from the North Country and they joined Annette, Mandy and Linda at this table.

MaryBeth helped me out by cutting out all the candy canes we needed for a M&T, thanks MB! Kathy is always there for me, every event, she is my right arm and such a treasured friend, thanks Kath!  Gail and Tiffany joined them here.

Last but not least, these four friends joined us for the first time, many thanks Barb, Chelsea, Jen and Bobbi for attending!

Altogether we had 30 people come to stamp for the day, I did have two who weren’t able to make it and I’m still working on their projects for them… hopefully I’ll get a chance to finish them this weekend.

I used all the hostess rewards from placing all the retreat orders and got 5 raffle bundles and they were able to put their tickets in whatever bag they wanted.

My friend Amye made these cute mugs, can you see what it says? “Sip, stamp, repeat”. She used her cricket and vinyl to make these. Thank you so much for donating two of your mugs to the raffle!

Ready to see the projects everyone made?

The gold pizza Box featuring Perfectly Plaid bundle, this can hold a small gift, jewelry, candy or even a gift card.

Some delicious Ghirardelli Hot Cocoa and stick candy canes.

Some cool mint tic-tacs

This beautiful ice skate card could easily be turned into a gift card holder as well.

This little snow globe shaker card was the only die cutting the ladies needed to get up to cut on their own… The Night Before Christmas Memories and More card pack with envelopes was the base of the card.

The mini curvy keepsakes dies are amazing, I saw this cute snowman on Pinterest and couldn’t believe how easy it was to make!

The copper tea tins hold more than tea- you can fit some homemade chex mix, fudge, cookies, hot cocoa, tea bags, or even a gift card in here!

Last but not least, this little pillow box was a breeze to put together, the heart is from the dog punch, and then the Christmas cups of cheer dies made the perfect snowman cup. This held some marshmellows and could fit another gift card.

Next time I’ll share all the winners of the prizes and the gifts I gave everyone throughout the day, I’ve got to run and get some of my Thanksgiving meal prep going here.

Thank you for visiting my blog today! Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Love,
Lynn

2019-20 Annual Catalog, blog hop, Designer Series Paper, Stampin Up, Stampin' Blends

Glitter & Glam Girls Blog Hop Masculine May

Hi friends, here we are back with our Glitter & Glam Girls Blog Hop! No glitter on my project this month since our theme is masculine cards, wanted to give you some inspiration to get ready for Father’s Day next month in the US.

I debated about what to create and a set was really calling to me from the new catalog, the stamp set is called “A Good Man” and will be available to purchase on June 4 (unless you are demonstrator you can pre-order it now).

The base is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2″ night of navy card stock, and I used 4×5 1/4″ whisper white for the top layer, a 4″ x 3″ piece of the new Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper. I also used the new night of a navy and Sahara sand bakers twine and after wrapping it around the card twice I slipped it through the Sail Away trinkets (2 styles-anchors and ship steering wheels) and frayed the ends of the twine by untwisting after I knotted it. I cut another piece of whisper white out using the stitched shapes dies, I used the medium oval piece.

This card would be perfect for Father’s Day, or for your special guys birthday, retirement, job promotion, anything you name it. I colored with our alcohol markers, the Stampin’ Blends, and I use soft suede for the sand and his hat, balmy blue for the sky, Bermuda bay for the stripes on the chair, Night of Navy on his shirt, Ivory for his skin, and basic gray for the shorts. I did use the color lifter to soften the look of his shirt and for shading. What do you think? I would love to hear from you!

Fall Fun Cards in Corinth!

I was so honored and excited to be invited to have a fun fall card making night at my friend Wendy’s massage studio up in Corinth. (Amethyst Springs). I invited some ladies that I knew who lived up that way and Wendy posted it on her Facebook page and we found some crafty ladies who came that we met for the first time. Wendy made a yummy dinner of meatballs and veggie lasagna, bruschetta and salad and then she had cookies and cheesecake for dessert. We made four cards and everyone enjoyed the evening so much they asked me to come back and do Christmas cards, so we will be getting together again on Thursday night November 29, let me know if you’d like to be invited to this Christmas card get together.

Here are the four cards we made last night:

This card is a CASE of one of the beautiful cards my downline Lisa made for me last month. I modified it as we were using the sunflowers in another card. The secret to making these adorable little fences was a dryer sheet under the card stock. It worked like a charm.

This was a card I created and used for my card swap by mail with 21 other demonstrators that I participated in last month.

This card was modified slightly from a card I received from Sandy C. in a card swap by mail with 21 other demonstrators that I participated in last month.

Wendy gave me this adorable burlap adorned photo holder that worked out perfectly to hold my sample card. Specially came in handy since I forgot my giant close pins that I normally use to keep cards up high so everyone can see them.

What do you think? I always love to hear from you and see what you think of the cards, is there anything you would do differently?

Did you hear the good news that Stampin’ Up! added a lot of new items to the clearance rack? Things are marked up to 60% off their original retail price. Check it out today.

I am throwing my hat in the ring for Stampin’ Up! to consider me to be a display stamper for Orlando’s OnStage event in November. I absolutely love all of our stamps, ink, paper, ribbons, embellishments and I treasure the opportunity to come up with some projects to inspire everyone. Thank you for considering me.

Would love to hear what you think about some of my favorite projects. The rules stated we needed to submit three cards, two 3-D objects, and two scrapbook pages.

I am thrilled that 7 of my team, and many wonderful stamping friends, will be at the Orlando OnStage event with me.

Thank you for visiting me!

2018-19 Annual Catalog, card making, rubber stamping, Stampin Up, Stampin' Blends

Team Swaps!

Hi everyone, I wanted to show off all the wonderful swaps from our team get together on Thursday night. What a talented group of ladies, don’t you agree?

For my card I used the new dandelion wishes stamp set.

Here’s a tip if you want to re-create this card.

I used the rectangle framelit from the barn door set to create a window opening to brayer on the color.

I used some washi tape to adhere it down on my grid paper.

I used black embossing powder and versamark ink to create the dandelions and the greeting. I used our new balmy blue ink pad for the brayer and card stock.

This lovely swap card was made by the amazing Lisa Mackey!

It’s no surprise that Kara Pagerie used the new bunny bundle, how cute and colorful? Love it.

How fun and vintage is this version of dandelion wishes? Made by the wonderful Laurie Kownack.

Love Kathy Sim’s sweet card using Lilypad Lake bundle!

Isn’t this Daisy Delight card featuring the new rich razzleberry velvet trim stunning? Kudos goes to Tiffany Williams-Hart for this beauty.

And this lovely card was one of our Make & Takes by our fabulous hostess Amye Speirs.

And I brought the new Notes of Kindness Kit, such a fun and easy kit. You can make 5 each of 4 designs.

Today is the last day to enter my Comment Contest. Scroll below to leave me a reply. Be sure to include #Lynnzcrafters to be entered to win. One lucky person will be selected tomorrow-July 1st.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay cool in this heat!

2018-19 Annual Catalog, OnStage, Retired List, Sneak peak, Stampin Up

OnStage Fun!

Hi friends! Wowza, what an AMAZING weekend at Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage event in Hartford, CT! As you can see, 5 of my Lynnzcrafters team came to this event, and we had a blast! Stampin’ Up! is very generous with all the gifts and new products they give us! I’m feeling so thankful and blessed to have been given the opportunity to do a presentation and reveal a gorgeous new Suite of products that will be released in the new catalog on June 1st!

I would like to share my creations that I presented on Saturday for you to see, please leave me a comment and let me know what you think of this new product line, I treasure all your comments!

Introducing in the 2018–2019 annual catalog is a brand new product suite called Nature’s Poem:

This adorable little project is our carrying over pizza boxes. These are 4 of our sweet little 3″ x 3″ note cards and 4 matching envelopes fit nicely inside. I am planning to do this project at my June bingo event.

This card features one of the color palettes from the designer series paper, I love how vibrant the cajon craze is with gold foil paper. This reminds me of autumn in New York.

These two cards were made using the baby wipe technique, I added tranquil tide and mint macaron ink on the baby wipe and then colored in the trunk with soft suede.

This card was actually the project that everyone made who attended Onstage. This nature’s hemp twine is just fabulous to untangle as well as leave alone, the possibilities are endless.

Aren’t you glad to see blackberry bliss back in our lineup of colors? It was a huge secret to keep that there was going to be a color revamp, but I am so thrilled with the choices Stampin’ Up! made to exit 13 of our old colors and shake things up a bit with these gorgeous new and returning favorites! What do you think?

Can you notice the embossing on the leaves up above? The dies that come in this bundle include framelits that cut all of the leaves and trees as well as thinlits that emboss three sets of leaves. So fun and easy to make lots of paper leaves and no more fussy cutting! This bundle coordinates with lovely as a tree, it is staying around in this catalog.

I know this photo was not very clear but I have to share it with you as I cannot share the video recording that my friend made for me. I loved being up on that stage and introducing these gorgeous new products to hundreds of demonstrators who came to Hartford Connecticut. 💗

These two photos represent the wonderful Stampin’ Up! staff who assisted me both in preparing for this presentation and help me the day before and day of with rehearsals. I am so very thankful to Andrea Withers who prepared me for this role, as well as Jessica, Spencer, and Justin! Thanks for all your help guys!

Here is a picture of me and Susan by our display board, Susan’s projects are on the top and she presented a beautiful new detailed bundle. We also got to sit together Friday night at centerstage dinner and the 80s themed party. So much fun!

I wanted to share some information about the changes coming with our color revamp. As you know Stampin’ Up! stays on top of all of the trends and Pantone color choices every year. They carefully watch fashion, home Decore all the various artist mediums. It has been five years since they have shaking things up a bit and even longer since they had this large of a change in our color line up. I am absolutely thrilled with these new colors and only a teensy weensy bit sad to say goodbye to some of our outgoing colors. Please know that everything is now on the rretirement list which posted today it is only available while supplies last.

I hope you enjoyed my post about my onstage experience. I hope to apply and be selected again some day for future Stampin’ Up! event, it was so much fun to get products early and have a chance to play with them and create. Would love to hear from you please leave me a response below! I will do a random draw on Thursday and one lucky winner will receive a set of handmade cards using this bundle from me!

Creative Inking Ready for Spring!

Hi friends!

Happy first day of spring! I had the pure joy of spending the day Sunday with a wonderful group of demonstrators, we had a “shoe box swap ”

This adorable little pouch of candy was our favor, don’t you just love that little bunny? This technique is known as the “diaper fold”.

I loved making this card, this was designed by Regina. This stamp set is called “You’re Inspiring” and it was a breeze to color in with our alcohol markers (called blends).

This cute little card is one I’m going to feature at a private Easter party I’m having tomorrow night. I love it when my customers call me up and say “hey I want to have a party can we make all Easter goodies?” Really looking forward to crafting with some new ladies.

I hope these colorful projects help you feel like you are getting ready for spring!

Thank you so much for visiting me, are you ready to hop over to the next demonstrator? Just click the next button below and you will get to go visit Lori Mueller’s Blog.

Whirlwind Stampers M&T projects

Happy Monday! I hope you had an awesome weekend! I know I did! I wanted to show you what we made the other day at my upline’s house for our monthly get together. When you join Stampin’ Up! there are lots of opportunities to get together and stamp with others, and I’m so fortunate to have such a great upline, who inspires me more than she probably realizes… love our Whirlwind get-togethers!

This first M&T was by Debbie Kolberg, isn’t this a cute little treat bag? She even bundled up some yummy jelly beans for us, how fun!

IMG_0514

The second M&T was a great gift card holder! Dania came up with this one for us, and I loved using some new products from the soon to be released Holiday Catalog!
IMG_0526
Please note, the “Merry Everything” stamp and the Note Tag punch are not available until August 28th, when the 2014 Holiday Catalog goes live. PLEASE let me know if you’d like a catalog- I’m happy to get one to you!

So did you do any crafting over the weekend? I worked on some cards and projects for my new Stamp and Sip events that Dania and I are going to be trying out. Wish us luck! I’m still looking for hostesses for our launch party in September. We booked the Elks and are each hoping to find five friends to reserve a whole table for $30 (they can decide whether they want to “treat” their friends, or have everyone chip in.) the tables hold up to six people each. We are having a chocolate fondue station and have lots of fun projects planned. What a fun way to have some quality time with your girlfriends! Let me know if you’d like to give Stamp and Sip a try!

Here is a sneak peek of one of the projects we’re going to make at the launch party:

Well, that’s all for this morning. I hope you have an awesome day! Please ask your friends if they want to get together and make some fun projects- no crafting experience necessary!

Come back tomorrow to see our swaps from Whirlwind Stampers get together!

Thanks,
Lynn
