Hi there stamping friends, how in the world did it get to be May 1? I surely don’t know, so this blog hop kind of snuck up on me… Hope you don’t mind that I am just going to share four cards I did this week at my Stamp a Stack class I had Monday night featuring some retiring stamps and products. (I have been pet sitting this week and not at home in my own craft room…. my apologies!)

First up is a card I came up with using the technique I saw at OnStage- this is a perfect technique to use up your designer series paper’s, don’t hoard them get using them! Use a 4″ x 4″ piece of DSP, and then slice it on the diagonal so you can pull apart the paper and have a 1 inch strip to stamp your sentiment within the white space. The DSP and the stamp (a single stamp called Blended Bloom) is also retiring. I colored the flower with my blender pens and blushing bride and daffodil delight ink. (the darker part of the petal was colored in with just the blushing bride marker).

I came up with this card to feature several retiring products: the Beautiful Bunch Stamp set, Fun Flower Punch, white jute ribbon and Decorative Dots textured impression embossing folder. I’m going to miss them all!
This card was cased from a card I found from a goggle image search of the stamp set “Choose Happiness” made by Margaret Raburn. Love the card, thanks Margaret!
This card features the retiring stamp set called “Serene Silhouettes”, the large oval punch and burlap ribbon is also retiring. Grab it before it’s all gone.

I had picked this cute stamp set, “Hey Girl” out for the blog hop before I went to OnStage convention last week. Turns out it is retiring, along with lots of products I used today.

I used my blender pens to color in the girl, dog, butterflies, and flowers. I used sponge dauber to add soft sky and then an aqua painter to add old olive for the grass. I fussy cut the dress by stamping on the Birthday Bouquet DSP.

For the treat project, I wanted something that would hold a little gift, this mini treat box is perfect for a pair of earrings, bracelet or necklace. Notice the scallop circle punch? That is retiring also… so if you don’t have it yet- grab it fast! Punches are so versatile, I like to have them all (for punch art projects too!).

As an OnStage participant, Stampin’ Up! has challenged us to hold one more event each month from May through October… I am committing to this and have been looking at my calendar and would love your opinions, what kinds of events do you think I should be sure to include in the next six months? Hi Friends! Hope you are having a nice weekend! I thought I would just catch up with sharing some awesome cards with you… birthday, spring fling, and my stamp a stack class… enjoy!

Next up, want to share the five cards that Amye and I prepared for our Spring Fling event yesterday, it was a small group- but everyone had a nice time!

I don’t know what I would do without my fabulous team- huge kudos to Amye for prepping and teaching some awesome techniques on two cards (the flower patch and birthday balloon); lots of thanks to Jamie for making a cute treat holder for each attendee (I didn’t take any pictures of that!) and many thanks to Amye, Jamie, Wendy and Sharon for coming to help for the afternoon, it made it so nice and relaxing for all the stampers. You guys are the best!! Ready to do it again on May 16th? (Mark your calendars- we’re doing a morning class more news to come soon!)

Retirement….

As we get closer to the end of the Stampin’ Up! year, we’re getting ready to retire stamps and accessories from the 2014-2015 annual catalog. Don’t worry, though! You will have the opportunity to order retiring products at discounted prices (up to 50 percent off retail) before they’re gone. I highly recommend that you start evaluating your current inventory and get ready to place your orders on April 21 if you want to be sure to get what you really want.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you love the 2013-2015 In-Colors (Crisp Cantaloup, Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding) they are retiring and always sell out within hours of the retirement list going live… so if you need reinkers, paper, matching ribbon or designer series paper- I would recommend you order it BEFORE 4/21. I have an order going this weekend, so let me know if you need these things before they are gone.

I will then have another order going in the evening of 4/21 (after work), and of course I have orders going in each week, so if you want to save on shipping, let me know- I can combine orders, or give you the best hostess code to use. *but please know that all the sale prices are “while supplies last” and I can’t guarantee that your item will still be available if you wait for me.
