Hi there Stamping Friends, hope you had a nice weekend! I know I sure did, minus my lengthy trip to the laundromat, guess I’ll be shopping for a new washer/dryer this week, never a dull moment.
Today’s post is about the three cards for my monthly stamping club. Right now I have two that occur in my home and one at a friend’s house up in Hudson Falls. I’m always open to starting new clubs, so if you’d like more info- contact me and I can help brainstorm with you. I may have some openings in July when my next round of clubs start up again (either Saturday mornings or Monday nights).
This month I wanted to feature some cards that could be used for our next holiday – Mother’s Day. The beauty of these three cards is that they can be used for other occasions as well.
First up, this watercolor card is a case (copy-and-share-everything) from Amy I. another talented SU demonstrator. The stamp set used is called Mother’s Love and I have this in Photopolymer which makes it so easy to line up and stamp right where you want it.
The colors I used are three of the 2014-2016 In-Colors- Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow. Glad these colors will be here another year, love them.
Next up is a card that I cased from Laura Milligan’s website made by another talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrator named Mary Waring that she received as a swap. I loved the use of Strawberry Slush and Elegant Eggplant together with the daffodil delight center, just an adorable card suitable for any occasion! I have to say of all the new floral stamp sets in the spring Occasions catalog, this Petal Potpourri bundle is one of my favorites!
Some of my talented club friends stepped it up a notch and added some additional charm to this card:
Last but not least is a card that incorporates a part of the Artisan kit (the beautiful rose stencil) and the stamp set called Painted Petals. I also picked this set in Photopolymer because you can get such a gorgeous overlay and so easy to see where you are stamping. Love this so much.
I have to say that I later found a card made by Jan Tink, it might have been on Pinterest and I internalized it or something… does that ever happen to you, a delayed inspiration?? Anyway, one of my club members, and downline, changed hers up a bit too, isn’t this gorgeous?
So three pretty cards that my club ladies could use for many occasions.
I have been toying with an idea for some time now, wondering if you would be interested in a “Class to Go” option? I would feature one stamp set and then prepare 3 to 4 projects (mostly cards) and you would purchase the stamp set and receive all the card stock, die cuts, buttons, ribbons, etc that you would need along with directions both written and a private link to a video on how to make the cards. Well, does that sound like something you would like? I know that the upcoming summer months will be challenging with so many various vacation and travel plans, so let me know if you might be interested. I’m going to spend some time this month on my first Class to Go option, let me know if you’d like more info.
Well thanks for stopping my my blog today, and thanks for all who shopped online and enjoyed the free shipping special last week, wasn’t that wonderful? Thank you!!
Happy Monday!
