Operation Jordan’s Graduation Party- a Great Success!

Many of you know that my niece Jordan is like a daughter to me. From the time she was born we had a special bond. My first niece, and with my brother and sister-in-law in the restaurant business, I was blessed to be able to have her on the weekends when they worked, along with her other Aunts too, and my parents during the work week, this kid never went to daycare. Well, she just graduated from high school last month and we just had her big Graduation party yesterday. They say it takes a village to raise a child, it was so true for this kid- and for her party!

Here she is:

Here are just a few highlights (with the crafty element) that I thought you’d appreciate: My sister Sue created these yummy chocolate brownies and chocolate cupcakes with a graduation cap topper! How cute are these???

Here are some of the decorations I made for the party and we had a Project Life station where guests could jot Jordan a “Note or a Quote” and then we had a Photo Booth – I saved room in the back of her album for a graduation section and we’ll insert all the notes from people with their photos.

Well I took over 100 photos, I don’t think you want to see all of them, plus I have to get ready for work! I was so tired last night that I took a shower and went right to bed!

Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog today! More tomorrow about my July Club projects!

Happy Monday!

Awesome Weekend, How was Yours?

Hi Friends!

Did you have a happy 4th of July weekend? Mine was fun-filled and busy! My nephew Ethan informed me that it was time for a sleep-over! I love that kid, and how sentimental he is. I love that they love to spend time with me, and I treasure family time!! Here’s some of the fun we had:

We went for a hike… Unfortunately the trail was full of mud and bugs which didn’t thrill these two).

They helped me with errands, and we got the graduation supplies for my niece Jordan’s party coming up, and needed a sweet treat- have you tried Sweet Frog? Yummo!!

Love the Glenville Sports-Plex right near us, we had the bumper cars to ourselves!

Later Claire helped me create this awesome card holder for Jordan’s party. Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler baker’s twine to the rescue- used a whole package to make this tassle. Hot glued the top on a box that I covered in Basic Black cardstock.

My sister had a delicious BBQ… corn on the cob, burgers, dogs, fruit salad, pasta salad, and yummy treats for dessert.

In addition to brownies and cherry pie- she also made these amazing patriotic red/white/blue strawberries. They were delicious!!

The ribbon came in last week and I was determined to get that all cut, wrapped and bagged up. Tried cutting ribbon in the living room while watching a show on my DVR, but that wasn’t a good set up. Moved to the dining room table, spread out and was able to finish all the ribbon shares yesterday! I sent an email to everyone in the ribbon share- hope to meet up with people this week and get you all your new goodies!  THANKS again to all of you who participated!

I also organized my current versus retired stamps in my craft room, and worked on a Project Life album, ordered 200 more photos for the big graduation party!

I’m gearing up for my Paper Pumpkin subscribers party, my NEW clubs, Jordan’s graduation party (and birthday this week too!), and I haven’t even started my convention swaps yet! I have a feeling I’ll be bringing them with me on the plane at this rate.

Well, that’s all for now- I will be placing an order this week, if you need anything let me know!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today- I wish you all a very Happy Monday!!
