Christmas Stamp a Stack was Great!

annes card

Today was my 4th Annual Columbus Day Christmas Card Stamp a Stack Class. As always, it was a full house (for me that’s 8 stampers in my craft room). We were running down to the kitchen to use the 2nd big shot and heat embossing gun used on this card. This card is a CASE from Anne Kennedy, one of my wonderful sidelines. I just changed the embossed snowflake to pool party here. There were dazzling diamonds (aka glitter) everywhere!

case anne s

This card is modified from one I saw online made by another demonstrator, Ann Schach, a Stampin Up! demonstrator who specializes in vintage cards. Ann hand cut out the wreath and used lots of pearls to accent her card. Her base was done in very vanilla, whereas I used Garden Green to tie in the color of ink pad from the wreath. My little holly berries weren’t totally dry before I touched them, and I didn’t have time to go back and make another sample card. I think this helped everyone remember to be careful when using the dazzling details. Also, I’d like to point out that the key to using these new expression thinlits dies is to use a double layer of wax paper between the thinlit and the cardstock, run through big shot backwards and forwards (two turns under the steel die) and carefully remove the wax paper from thinlit before next use. This ensures you have a crisp word each time. The “poky” thing to the rescue today- what a marvelous tool to use with these dies.

swap 2

This card was a swap I received over the summer from swap I did by mail, made by demo Wendy Knowles. I was lucky that my friend Judy loaned me the stamp set and punch, as I don’t own it yet. This was a fast and simple card, made all the more easy by the fun and wonderful washi tape. The ladies enjoyed using the washi.

snow

This card is modified from some that were on pinterest, but it’s so hard to know who made the original, as there was no watermark on there. I love this new little snowman set. It was much easier to use than the snow buddies we had last year. This card was a breeze with the whisper white craft ink. It also pointed out the new striped embossing folder that many people said they didn’t even notice in the mini catalog.

peace

Last but not least, is the card that was my own design. I actually CASE-d from myself- from my swap earlier this month (remember the mini squares?) anyway, I knew I wanted the ladies to have fun with the new Circle card thinlits. Then it was just a matter of incorporating matching paper- which I did with the Winter Frost DSP (designer series paper).

peace inside

Here  is the inside of the card. Sentiment is stamped in new Silver Encore Metallic ink pad.

What one is your favorite?? I love reading your comments! Thanks for visiting with me today, and I hope you had a wonderful Columbus Day weekend! I know I sure did!

Have a great week!

Also- I forgot to include some close-ups yesterday of the October club projects I offered my club members this month. They learned how to decorate a candle with our Simple Created Thanksgiving Tablescape Kit from the Holiday Catalog. (You can not leave this on if you decide to burn the candle). I also taught them how to stamp on tissue paper and transfer it to a wax candle using the heat tool. A little melting and wax paper as transfer paper, they came out really cute.

You might be wondering why the snowflake one is burned, I wanted to lite the candle to be sure it didn’t catch on fire with the tissue paper added. It burns nice inside a glass votive holder I got at my local dollar store.

My Thanksgiving card features the new Circle Card Thinlits Die, Best of Autumn stamp set and Tags 4 You stamp (“Happy Thanksgiving”). What do you think? What’s your favorite?

Do you think these look like fun projects? I am starting up new clubs in January- we meet once a month. You get all the club projects for free when you place a minimum $25 product order the day our club  meets. I offer make-up sessions called “UFO” classes- UFO stands for “unfinished objects” and will be scheduled with the people who miss a club for whatever reason.

Let me know if you’re interested, I might even be able to add another club if enough interest. Right now I have one Saturday morning and one Monday night club.

Hope you have an enjoyable Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog!
