When I heard the theme was “Black, White and Whatever You’d Like” (another Color that is) I wanted to showcase some of my favorite new Stampin’ Up! products, and one is hot off the press! For this blog hop we always create a card and a 3D item. A few years ago Becky Roberts (Inking Idaho) had shared some gifts she made with the wooden cases by adding a kitchen drawer pull handle. Then I made some for one of my bingo nights last year. Then my upline sent me this empty one from a recent event she had. I decided to repurpose this one to use for my “Watercoloring To Go Kit”. You see, I love to watercolor with our new watercoloring pencils, and I thought it would be great to showcase this idea (what a great get well gift for someone in the hospital or rehab, right?)

Anyway, I wanted to stick with the theme “Black, White and whatever you like”… so I picked the accent color Bermuda Bay. With our brand new addition to Sale-a-bration on 2/21 of this gorgeous glimmer paper- I thought you’d like to see it in action- what do you think of my dragonflies??

The wooden case has a protective cover so you can easily slip your creation inside… (didn’t realize how much glitter dust lingered on the scene after I slipped it inside, oops).

As you can see, the new watercoloring pencils, one aqua painter, one blender pen, and a small pencil sharpener as well as several card bases/images fit comfortably inside!

What a handy carrying case for watercoloring! (Also, the watercoloring pencils have been much more popular than Stampin’ Up! predicted, so they are only available while supplies last (they were turned off for a few weeks, but we did get another shipment). They are true Stampin’ Up! colors and I LOVE them!!

When I give this as a gift, I would put the dragonflies inside an envelope and add some glue dots, so they could first watercolor, then accent with the dragonflies when the cards are complete.

Here is the glimmer paper- three gorgeous colors: Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, and Sweet Sugarplum (this is a pack of 6″x6″ glimmer paper, you get 4 each of these three colors).

Here is the flyer with all of the new Sale-a-bration items that Stampin’ Up! is adding as of February 21st! I predict this glimmer paper is going to fly off the shelves, it is yummy!!

mainad_sab-2nd2017_olo_feb0117_eng

(Demonstrators only can “preorder” these new items, otherwise they go live on Tuesday February 21st).

Well, what do you think of my post today? I love to read your comments, they mean a lot to me! My supply list is at the bottom of this post if you need to order anything to make these handy cases yourself! Way to Go Day!!

Today was my very first team rewards get together, once each quarter I am inviting my top 4 downline over for a fun get together! For the first quarter of the 2016-17 Stampin’ Up! year (October-December 2016) I had four ladies who earned points for this special invitation. Amye, Lisa, Sharon, and Kim were invited over for breakfast and a stamping get together today. (unfortunately Kim got sick and couldn’t make it).

I made a bacon egg and cheese quiche and also a seafood mozzarella quiche, fruit salad, mini bagels and muffins, and had OJ and sparkling pear juice.

Then we got to work creating a beautiful vertical succulent wall hanging.

Amye had shared a photo of a vertical garden made a few years ago by a demonstrator named Rachel, with old Stampin’ Up! product. I updated it with our current ‘oh so succulent bundle’,  some Spanish moss and the detailed dragonfly thinlits.

Here is a close-up of the dragonfly, we used three markers: pool party, rich razzleberry, and cucumber crush to color the dragonfly, deluted it with an aqua painter, and then when it was dry applied wink of Stella across the top. I use the solid image to just cut out a dragonfly with our vellum card stock to layer underneath the detailed die cut out.

Here is a photo of just putting the hens and chickens (as I like to call them)…. the succulents were made with always artichoke card stock and sponged with rich razzleberry ink.

The small flowers were made with the petite petal punch and a pansy punch using sweet sugarplum card stock, and I distressed it with rich razzleberry ink.

Here are the girls with their creations:

Lisa with her creation!

Here’s Sharon with hers!

Amye’s creation!

The frames are an 8 x 10″ distressed frame, I used very vanilla card stock over the glass, and hot glued the Spanish moss directly onto the card stock.

The girls and I had a lovely time this morning and I’m so glad that I finally took the leap to plan this new reward for my team. They are doing such an awesome job and I am so proud of each one of them! This quarterly WTG day is on top of our monthly Stampin’ Up! get together at my house. We sure have a lot of fun, laughs, stamping, swapping, and eating too!

I would love to welcome you to my Lynnzcrafter team, have you been thinking about it? This is the best month of the year to join with all of our specials, I’d be happy to talk to you more about it! And three brand-new items are being released for SAB!

Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog today, and have a great night!

Lynn

Hi there friends,

Just a reminder that the next Lynnzcrafters team Stampin’ Up! garage sale and BOGO Sale is this Saturday, January 28 from 9 AM to noon at the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church located at 816 Route 50, across from Gil’s garage.

In addition to selling our retired Stampin’ Up! stamps, inks, papers, punches, big shot dies, texture folders, there will also be a fundraiser going on at the same time. A very generous friend is helping me have a fundraiser for my sister-in-law Kathy who has been battling Crohn’s disease for over 20 years, and has been out of work since September 10.  I had done a go fund me page in the fall, and so many generous friends and family helped out. But the medical bills are mounting, and absolutely no verdict yet from Social Security disability income. So we have five raffle baskets, the raffle tickets are $10 for an arm length. Raffle tickets will be on sale now through February 3. The drawing for the five winners will be held at my next bingo event on 2/3 I will even videotape it and post the winners on my Facebook page.

Here is a video clip with all of the prizes, ( I added a few paper pumpkin kits to bundle #3).

Bundle #1 is a brand-new big shot machine, including magnetic platform, and 2 texture impressions embossing folders (fluttering and confetti).

Bundle #2 includes 2 brand new Tin of cards designer kits, a Tin of cards photopolymer stamp set and acrylic D block.

Bundle #3 includes 4 paper pumpkin kits: hello sunshine makes 9 cards, blissful bouquet makes 9 cards, love you a lot makes 8 cards/tags, and thankfulness makes 4 cards/boxes, a  Stampin’ Up! pop up scrap/trash bin, snail, acrylic D size block.
Bundle #4: The wood mount stamps set flowering fields, clear mount stamp set birthday blooms, and Clear-mount stamp set “You Plus Me”, scalloped tag topper punch, acrylic E size block, three ink pads: cherry cobbler, mint macaron, calypso coral, and two rolls of ribbon.
Bundle #5: Baby Bear stamp set, Christmas taggable’s stamp set, Momento ink pad, watercolor winter craft kit, presents and pinecones washi tape, real red stitched edge ribbon, mica flakes trio, metallic thread combo pack real read an emerald envy, and Candy Cane Lane designer series paper.

I am humbled by my friends generosity, and so very thankful for her. I hope to see you all at our sale on Saturday, but if you are not able to attend, and would like to purchase raffle tickets,  please contact me – I am happy to help enter you in the raffles!

Thanks so much and enjoy your day!

Creative Inking Blog Hop-Let’s Sale-a-Brate!

ccbh-image

Welcome to the 2017 Kick-Off of the Creative Inking Design Team! We are thrilled to have you visit our blogs today! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the USA… Today’s blog hop features products from the new 2017 Sale-a-Bration Catalog by Stampin’ Up! and since this is the magical time of year where Stampin’ Up! rewards customers (and hostesses and demonstrators), it’s a great time to Sale-a-brate and celebrate!

As soon as I saw the cute little trucks in the 2017 Saleabration catalog I knew that there would be a lot of fantastic uses, ice cream truck, taco truck, cupcake truck, the list goes on and on. This is the card I came up with for my Valentines card class I had the other night. This was my first choice stamp set out of the new Saleabration catalog I could not wait to get my hands on this cutie, it is free with your $50 minimum order.

.

I want to share with you a couple of treat holders I also came up with for my Valentine’s Day class. The little test tube is from the September paper pumpkin kit and I filled them with red and white candies called sixlits. The little chocolate holder was made with our tag topper punch (start with a piece of whisper white card stock that is 5 1/2″ long by 2″ wide, punch both ends, then fold in 1/2 and voila!)  This size holds one Ghirardelli chocolate candy and came together very easily with some washi tape, I stamped the image in melon mambo ink and punched it out with our sweetheart punch. (If you want to hold more than one Ghirardelli’s or different sized candy, you can play around with the length and score the bottom to make different size treat holders.)

These were all the cards my stampers made at class and they just loved them!

Well, that’s my offering for today, thank you so much for visiting my blog! I would love to hear from you, and would love to know what your favorite new product from the Sale-a-bration catalog is for 2017?? (scroll to the bottom to leave me a response- I read every one!)
