Fall Fun Bingo Night! 🍁

Well we had just a spectacular time last night at our fall fun bingo night! I rented my church hall so we could fit lots of friends who wanted to attend. I am so blessed to have the support and interest from all these wonderful ladies, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the delicious snacks you brought, yummy beverages, the delicious treats! Also for my helpers I could not do it without you!! I had my friend Laurie helped me with all the big shot work ahead of time, kudos to Nancy, Addie, MaryBeth, and Laurie for helping me set up the room. And deep thanks for Brigid and Sue who stayed to help with cleanup and put the room back together. I am so deeply grateful. ❤️

Because we had 25 ladies register in advance I needed to have five make and take projects as I had five people at each table. That is one more project than we normally do. But no one complained

This beautiful card is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) of my friend and fellow demonstrator Michelle I. She did this water coloring using our pencils with the new stamp set pleasant pheasants. {I was sad to have to tell the ladies that the chicken wire elements is turned off right now …they were so popular we sold out of them in just a couple weeks of this catalog being active.}

Now this sweet card I received as a swap in the mail from another demonstrator named Keri B and I did not have the stamps that she used on the original card so I substituted our burlap background stamp and just changed it up a bit.

I saw this card come through my Instagram feed earlier this month and decided to CASE (I knew it would be a perfect bingo card and one of the ladies to have a chance to use our alcohol markers called blends). the original creator was Alisa T. Can you see how beautiful the texture is from our new tin tile textured impression embossing folder? It looks just like the old fashion tin ceilings they used to have.

The fourth and final card was one I came up with recently when I had time to play in my craft room … I used a new set called peaceful place and it’s in the annual catalog. I decided to use it to showcase the beautiful fall foliage. To get the effect of the wet riverbed are used are fine tip glue pen and just spread some lightly on after the card was water colored and assembled.

Last but not least, take a look at this adorable little take out treat holder- it uses just a half of a sheet of card stock and I absolutely love our new toil and trouble DSP paired with the new spooky sweet bundle, aren’t those bats adorable?

And now are you ready to see who all the winners were last night?

I actually didn’t get a picture of two people last night, congratulations Marie who won the gift certificate and congratulations to Patty who won the final raffle of the night (which was a draw from all the tickets given out for attending, bringing a snack, dressing in fall clothing, and ordering from me last night.)

Well actually some people are little camera shy and didn’t want their photo taken, I understand.

I feel so blessed that 10 out of these 25 ladies are Stampin’ Up! demonstrator’s and came out to support me and I couldn’t be more thankful! Thank you everyone for your interest in stamping bingo nights, the next one is Friday night October 19! Let me know if you’re interested in attending and I will get you all the details.

2018 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration!, card making, paper crafting, rubber stamping, Sale-a-bration, Stampin Up, Stampin' Blends, Stampin' Up! Swaps!, watercoloring fun

I’ve missed you!

Hi everyone! I have REALLY MISSED you! When I looked back at my last post it was on February first, good grief! I’m sorry I’ve been away for sooooo long!  I have to admit, February was challenging…I ended up getting the flu and had to reschedule many of my monthly stamping clubs due to illness and due to all the snow storms! I also changed jobs last week and wanted to be sure I was fresh and well rested, so I haven’t been staying up late to create projects or do all my normal monthly blog hops. AND, as if all that’s not enough, last week two close family members had surgery! Please keep my sister Sue and sister-in-law Kathy in your prayers. They are home recovering, but it will be a long road to healing.

So, one of the things I had to reschedule was my monthly team get together. We met the other night and I wanted to share with you the awesome swaps from this talented group, as well as my Make-and-Take projects. Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions, I would LOVE to hear from you! I treasure every one of your comments!

Without further ado, here are the wonderful cards, and the name of who created them- aren’t they talented??!! Love these ladies!

Tiffany’s card features the adorable stamp set called “Message in a Bottle”:

Joan’s card features stunning Petal Palette bundle and gorgeous gold foil sheets:

Amye’s card also features the pretty Petal Palette bundle, and she colored with her blends (our alcohol markers):

Kara’s card was made using the manly Truly Tailored bundle and True Gentleman designer series paper:

Kathy’s card was made with the very versatile Hanging Garden stamp set and colored with our blends also:

Laurie’s card features one of our fabulous Sale-a-Bration offerings, Lots of Lavender stamp set and coloring with our awesome blends markers:

Sheila’s card features the adorable Party Panda stamp set and the Bubbles & Fizz designer series paper (both of these items are Sale-a-bration offerings- either one is free with a $50 purchase), love that fussy cutting:

Last but not least, my swap card that I made features our brand new stamp set we launched 2 weeks ago for the last stretch of Sale-a-bration called  Blossoming Basket, which is actually part of a bundle that includes the beautiful Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (together these two items are free with a $100 purchase), I water-colored using our aquapainters and reinkers (I diluted them a little bit), what do you think of the Peek-a-boo Peach and Daffodil Delight color combo?? Makes me long for spring!

This is a cute little gift Kara brought me, she made this amazing box (I think she called it the never-ending-box) the lid does not come off, but you pull it up, and it opens so you can remove what is inside- she put some Hershey’s kisses in there for me, how thoughtful?? It was such a surprise and I just adore this little handmade gift, thanks Kara! (I’m totally intimidated about these kind of projects, but she said it wasn’t “too hard”… maybe I’ll try it sometime).

Well, that’s it for today, I have some other cards and projects I will share with you over the next few days… I’m also going to try to get back to the 4 monthly blog hops that I’m involved in… I miss hopping with those talented people. It’s always so inspiring.

2018 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration!, blog hop, Brusho, card making, Creative Circle Design Team, Eclipse Technique, Valentine's Day, watercoloring fun

CCDT Blog Hop- Love is in the Air!

Hello and Happy New Year Friends! Happy New 2018 Occasions Catalog AND Sale-a-Bration Launch Day! Today has been a busy day getting all the links and catalogs updated for this new season! Thank you so much for joining us on our hop! I can’t wait to see what everyone has created this month! With our theme “Love is in the Air”, I’m getting ready for Valentine’s Day, I hope you like my card.

This is a card I made for Valentine’s Day and for an organized swap I participated in last month. I loved using our new Brusho Crystals for watercolor. (this new product is a dry powder- in 5 colors and is so fun to play with!)

First I made the card by cutting out large letters “I” and “U” from Whisper White card stock. Then I embossed the heart in whisper white embossing powder on our Shimmer Paper (it is thicker and more absorbent). Then get the paper very wet with an aqua painter. Then sprinkle the brusho crystals on (tip- just poke a hole in top of your crystals with paper piercing tool- to make a shaker jar, DON’T peel the sticker off as it will be too hard to shake/control it.) Then blend the powder until you cover all the paper/area that you want. You can play with adding a second (or more) color, but for Valentine’s Day I only wanted to use the red.

I wasn’t quite happy with this look, so went back to the drawing board, this time, I decided to cut the “I” and “U” out of the Shimmer paper that I used for my base. I also stamped and used matching framelits for the little heart.

Now this is an “Eclipse” technique card- I just love making cards with this technique, don’t you? Don’t you just love the new gold glitter? What do you think?

Are you ready to go visit the other talented Demonstrators? This is an International Group- you will be amazed by all their wonderful projects! Enjoy!

2017 Occasions and Sale-a-Bration!, Creative Inking Blog Hop, rubber stamping, Stampin Up, Valentine's Day, washi tape, watercoloring fun

Creative Inking Blog Hop-Let’s Sale-a-Brate!

ccbh-image

Welcome to the 2017 Kick-Off of the Creative Inking Design Team! We are thrilled to have you visit our blogs today! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the USA… Today’s blog hop features products from the new 2017 Sale-a-Bration Catalog by Stampin’ Up! and since this is the magical time of year where Stampin’ Up! rewards customers (and hostesses and demonstrators), it’s a great time to Sale-a-brate and celebrate!

As soon as I saw the cute little trucks in the 2017 Saleabration catalog I knew that there would be a lot of fantastic uses, ice cream truck, taco truck, cupcake truck, the list goes on and on. This is the card I came up with for my Valentines card class I had the other night. This was my first choice stamp set out of the new Saleabration catalog I could not wait to get my hands on this cutie, it is free with your $50 minimum order.

.

I want to share with you a couple of treat holders I also came up with for my Valentine’s Day class. The little test tube is from the September paper pumpkin kit and I filled them with red and white candies called sixlits. The little chocolate holder was made with our tag topper punch (start with a piece of whisper white card stock that is 5 1/2″ long by 2″ wide, punch both ends, then fold in 1/2 and voila!)  This size holds one Ghirardelli chocolate candy and came together very easily with some washi tape, I stamped the image in melon mambo ink and punched it out with our sweetheart punch. (If you want to hold more than one Ghirardelli’s or different sized candy, you can play around with the length and score the bottom to make different size treat holders.)

These were all the cards my stampers made at class and they just loved them!

Well, that’s my offering for today, thank you so much for visiting my blog! I would love to hear from you, and would love to know what your favorite new product from the Sale-a-bration catalog is for 2017?? (scroll to the bottom to leave me a response- I read every one!) Creative Inking Blog Hop- Favorite New Stamp Set!

creative hop

Howdy Friends and welcome to another monthly blog hop by the Creative Inking Crew! I’m so honored to be a part of this group (and I am ecstatic that I will get to meet many of them face to face next month at Stampin’ Up!’s North American Convention.) This month our theme is “Favorite new Stamp Set.” Well, how can I pick just one?? So I’m going to show you the cards the ladies made at my Stamp and Sip party last night:

stamp and sip1

First up is a new stamp set called “You’ve Got This”… you have probably noticed it all over the blogs and Pinterest pages of lots of demonstrators. It was a stamp set we could pre-order last month, and I loved playing with it too! This simple card uses two new In-Colors (Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush).

stamp and sip2

Some more watercoloring fun, don’t you love aqua painters? This stamp set is a Hostess Set called “Best Thoughts”. The bottom layer uses mint macaron and watermelon wonder (full strength) and then the fussy cut top layer is a watered down reinker of watermelon wonder. The new dotted lace trim is gorgeous and so easy to use! Glad I was able to pre-order and play with these awesome new products, another perk of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator! ( We have an awesome special going on right now- would love to have you join the Lynnzcrafter and Stampin’ Up! Family!! Contact me to chat about it).

stamp and sip6

Last but not least is the amazing new stamp set called “From Land to Sea” and bermuda bay reinker and Sea Salt, it is an awesome technique that I haven’t done in years… but I wanted an underwater sea look for my sea turtles… what do you think? Notice the new washi tape punch? Love it!

Here was the whole line up last night:
