We Create Blog Hop October 2016

WCBH2016

Hello there crafty friends,

October 1st sure rolled around pretty quickly and snuck up on me. Today’s offering is a quick post, the format for this hop is usually one project and then a “stepped up” version of the same project. Forgive me, but with everything going on with my family- I decided to share with you my four Make-and-Take projects for my Stampin’ Up! Bingo night last night. I hope you like these offerings, and don’t mind that I didn’t stick to the formula this month. (Sometimes priorities conflict with my time to craft and blog).

So here you go:

It was s “Fall Theme” bingo night.

Basket of Wishes is a fun set to watercolor, and doesn’t it just pop on the shimmer white paper?

Cookie-cutter Halloween is one of my favorite stamp sets in this holiday catalog.

I pulled out the vintage leaves stamps at and matching framelits-it’s a great card for the fall, don’t you think?

I have to admit that I finished these cards on our retreat last weekend and I had some inspiration from another demonstrator -thanks to Debbie Henderson for the awesome inspiration! I love her work and style, and just tweaked two of her cards to fit into my plans for my bingo night.

Also, since today is October 1st, and the Official Celebration of “World Card Making Day”- Stampin’ Up! is kicking off this event with some specials:

And now on to the talented Kimberley Morris- can’t wait to see what she has for us this month:

next blog hop

Thank you all for visiting my blog today, thank you for your kind words and prayers for my family, we’ve certainly been challenged these past two months… we appreciate all the love and prayers.

The fundraiser that I started for my dear sister-in-law, Kathy Streifert, has just reached the half-way point. Kathy has had a 22 year battle with Crohn’s disease, and is out of work indefinitely. As a waitress in a local restaurant with no sick days, or paid time off, and astronomical hospital bills and deductibles, I started the “Go Fund Me” campaign. You can read about it, and/or donate here, thank you!

I’m Sorry….

I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in a while, the past 3 weeks have been difficult as my sweet mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to her stomach. During her week long hospital stay, in addition to biopsies, she had a chemo power port put in and today started her weekly chemo treatments. My family and I are so thankful for the wonderful doctors, nurses, friends and family who have been so positive and helpful.  I needed to cancel several card classes, swaps, blog hops and team get togethers these past 3 weeks so I could spend time with my family. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I know it will be a long and challenging road, but with our faith, family and each other, we will travel this path together. I have had no real desire (up until today) to even go in my craft room. But after talking to my mom about how chemo went today, she was full of funny stories and no side effects (yet). So tonight I made some cards, planned my club for this weekend, and decided to write a blog post.

I went online to the Stampin’ Up! website today to catch up on some updates and wanted to pass on some news to you:

pp_bogo_customer-blog-post-headeraa3e1a583795661a8962ff0000f7f0e6

For the first time ever, first-time subscribers can buy one month at the regular price of $19.95 and get the second month FREE! It’s a Paper Pumpkin BOGO deal that you don’t want to miss!   Sign up at here and use BOGO for the promo code. Offer runs until October 10, 2016.

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription service by Stampin’ Up! that delivers all the stamps, ink, and paper you need to create a papercrafting project. Everything is cut and ready to go so you can skip to the fun!

If you subscribe with the promo code between now and September 10, you will pay full price for the September kit and get the October kit free.

If you subscribe between September 11 and October 10, your first kit will be the October kit and you will get the November kit free.

The fine print:

  • After the first two months, the subscription will continue for $19.95 + tax per month (shipping included) unless cancelled or suspended. Ends October 10, 2016.
  • This offer is open to first-time subscribers only (This is tracked by the email account you sign up with, if you have a different email from one you used previously, then this deal could work for you.)
  • Not valid on prepaid subscriptions.
  • Ends October 10, 2016 (the last day to subscribe and get the October kit).
  • Offer invalid if subscription is suspended or cancelled during the first two months. In other words, subscribers cannot cancel or suspend their subscription during their first two months—if they do, the offer is void. You can’t put your subscription on hold or cancel until after the first two full months.
  • After you enter your shipping address and credit card info, be sure to type in my name Lynn Streifert as your demonstrator, so I will get credit for your order.

The stamp sets that come in each month’s kit are so versatile and come in handy for lots of other card making and paper crafts!!

Join My Team!

Hi there stamping friends!

I have set a goal for myself to help two friends purchase the $99 Starter Kit during our amazing Sale-a-bration season! Stampin’ Up! will reward demonstrators who have 2 recruits with 15,000 flex points in our account (that’s like selling $15,000 in product). There is no obligation to sell, have parties, or do anything- if you don’t want to. Really- would you like to buy $155 worth of products, but only have to pay $99?? (that’s right $56 in free merchandise just by purchasing the starter kit during this special).

Bursting with Bundles!

Good morning stamping friends! I am overjoyed that my dad is able to come home today… I didn’t even have time to tell you he has been in the hospital since Thursday with pneumonia! Poor old fella! So good to see him recovering nicely to heavy duty IV antibiotics.

Since I haven’t had time to create much this week, I thought I would answer a customer’s question- what are ALL the bundles in the new Holiday catalog? I thought that was a good question and wanted to put them all here in the same place. You’re welcome!

bundle

So here are our 22 new Holiday Catalog Bundles:

Of course there are 5 of these bundles that I have shared both wood and clear mount- so you really have 17 different bundle options to decide on… what is your favorite, must have bundle??  I have my favorites- I shared my top 5 with you the other day, will be working on blog posts this weekend, and need to photograph my swaps that I just received this week, so you’ll see some inspiration soon.

So if you’d like any of these items,  you can either click the small photo of the object and it will take you right to my online store, or you can click the “shop now” button at the left side toolbar of this blog, then when you get to my online store and click “Shop Now”  at the top and then click “Holiday 2015” tab on the left. When you checkout- please use this hostess code: GDEBJGK6

Thanks so much for visiting me today, and please leave me a comment, I’d love to hear from you! Have a wonderful day!

I really appreciate all of your support, thanks so much! (Don’t forget our monthly craft kit in the mail – called Paper Pumpkin- is still 1/2 off until September 10th!)

I hope you have a nice day!
