Stampin Friends Spring Has Sprung

Hi there Stampin Friends! So glad we are featuring spring projects- winter has been trying to linger here in Upstate NY, so I’m hoping this will do the trick!

First of all, congratulations to Siretta Oltmanns, our winner of the Stamparatus!

I had the pleasure of going to New York City for work for couple of days and oh my goodness look at these Cherry Blossoms! 🌸 this really put me in for spring!

The first card I wanted to share with you is featuring a brand new bundle of products that will be available to you on May 1. I love when Stampin’ Up! has an early release and this suite of products is called Share What You Love Suite! This designer series paper is gorgeous – every piece has beautiful spring flowers, yummy pastels, and it is so interchangeable with all of our products. The stamp set is called “love what you do” and do you recognize this beautiful new base card? It is our mint macaron coming back from retirement!

It was so fun going to Onstage last week and I truly loved having a couple months of playing with new products… normally I wouldn’t tease you with something that you have to wait for but this is literally just a few days away and you can get these products yourself as of May 1st!

Next stop I want to show you this little treat box I made. Do you recognize it? I split open the silver mini gable boxes and reversed it, but before I glued it back together I stamped it up with the new stamp set that I had the honor of presenting in the Product Purchase Premiere presentation called Rooted in Nature from the new Suite called Nature’s Poem that will be available starting June 1, with the launch of the new 2018–19 Annual Catalog. (Of course demonstrators will be able to pre-order this in May so if you’re eager to get your hands on it, you should consider signing up to join my team) 😉 what do you think of blackberry bliss coming back to our lineup? I hope you are as thrilled as I am I just love this color!

Here I am standing next to my display board with most of the projects I presented, I am standing with Susan who had the pleasure of presenting The Delightfully Detailed Bundle.

And look at these beautiful cards, these were all made by demonstrators from our Creating Success with Ronda Wade group who were also at the Hartford Connecticut. Can you pick out my card?

Well what do you think? Are you excited for what’s coming up? Now is the time to stock up on any of your retiring colors as we are going through a big color revamp.

Also, Stampin’ Up! just filled up the clearance rack page in our online store, there are hundreds of new products for you to choose from to 60% off!

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of my projects today, and don’t forget to click and follow all the other demonstrators in this blog!

thanks for visiting!

All About Love- Stampin Friends January Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone! We are kicking off 2018 with some new designers on our team, so excited to meet new crafters here in the Stampin Friends community. We’d like to welcome you to another wonderful month of our fabulous creative projects and cards! I am so excited to hop along and see what everyone else has made! Did you just arrive from Kirsteen’s awesome blog? She does amazing work! Thank you for hopping by to see my creations!

As the title of this hop states- “All About Love”, I wanted to create some “wow” projects for you! I hope you like!

I found these gorgeous wooden hearts and mini lights at Target, I thought they would be perfect for some home decor for Valentine’s Day.

I wanted to show off our amazing suite of products in the 2018 Occasions catalog called “Painted with Love” (pages 18-19) I absolutely love how easy it is to complete projects with our coordinating product suites. And this new “Sure Do Love You” bundle was on my preorder list in December! I couldn’t wait to create all my Valentine’s projects with these beauties. *note- I used the 2 1/4″ circle punch to create the little envelope “liner” look in the narrow envelopes.. just thought it “jazzed it up”. Do you like it?

By now, you know how absolutely crazy I am for cursive fonts, and this one is no exception! “You’re my Valentine every single day” is a sweet sentiment for that special someone, or your favorite niece or nephew (just saying).

This Painted with Love Specialty pack of Designer Series Paper is so colorful and has gold accents on every single piece of the paper!  (brushstroke imagery is on the reverse of the gold accent side of DSP).

These new Whisper White Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes fit perfectly inside this box made with the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies. (Remember you save 10% when you order the bundle!) (the note cards are 2 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ (too small to mail individually but perfect for this little box, or for gift baskets.)

Did you know that you could use our delicate white lace doilies as “trim”? Sure- just cut into the doilies center, remove the center circle, then apply adhesive to back of heart and work the strip of doily around the heart.

Well, that’s all I have for you today, are you ready to go hop around to see what my Stampin Friends have created? Just click the next name on the list below. So thrilled to hop along with these talented ladies. Hope you have a great day! (for my supply list and links to order products scroll down below list for my contact info). Thanks!

Remember to leave us a comment, we love to hear from you! thanks!

Stampin Friends Happy Holidays Hop!

Hi there Stampin Friends!

I hope that this blog post finds you all doing well! This is certainly the season where things seem to get more hectic, there’s more illness, and if you’re like me, you just want to simplify and celebrate a meaningful holiday with your loved ones.

I hope this post gives you some ideas. I’m here for you! If you would like to give a meaningful gift this Christmas, I would be honored if you would consider me, and perhaps a Stampin’ Up!  gift certificate or products to make any crafter happy!

I recently hosted a small get together for my sister, her coworkers, and their daughters. Their request was to make some Christmas totes and special packaging for gift giving. In addition to the three projects here, I also let the girls have a little freedom to create cards (they loved that).

This little tote is super easy to make, I don’t know who to credit with the original idea, I’ve modified the pattern through the years to make cutting/prep easy.

I started with a 4″ x 12″ strip of Designer Series Paper, then used coordinating color cardstock, the two handles are 1/2″ x 11″ and the base is 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ scored  at 1/2″ on all four sides (clip corners). (You can also cover the outer top and bottom edges with 1/2″ x 12″ strips of matching card stock for a finished look.

The second project is this glitzy gift bag, everyone loved using the heat embossing tool! I don’t think the photos do this justice, it is just so sparkly! This gift bag would be perfect for giving some jewelry, gift cards, small items that will fit inside (inside measurement is 4 3/4″x 7″) – and the inside is a food safe interior if you want to put your handmade treats inside!

The third project we made is this adorable Christmas Quilt themed pizza box. The felt embellishments are just the shining star here. Pizza boxes are so versatile and are food safe also, and can fit a gift card holder or small gift as well. (inside measurements are 3″x3″).

And since we always share a card as well as our 3-D creations, here is a sweet and simple coordinating card.

We have a give-away! Just comment on each blog with the hashtag #SFbloghop2017 and leave a comment (tell me what you love about my projects).

Stampin Friends September Blog Hop!

Welcome to our September Blog Hop of the Stampin Friends group! I’m excited to be back with this talented group of ladies! And super huge thanks to our organizer, Elizabeth Thatcher, as we are bringing back prizes! For this month, the prize is this awesome Stampin’ Up! Hello Life Project Kit (retired). All you need to do to be entered to win this awesome prize is leave a comment on each of the blogs in this hop (click the names at the bottom of each post to go to the next person). You must add the phrase #SFbloghop2017 with your comment (tell us what you love about the project(s) and you’ll be entered to win!

Since I’m an owl fan, and I love Halloween, I wanted to show you my special project I did with my top 4 team members at our last “Way To Go!” Day (I reward the top four team members with a special meal, projects and goodies each quarter). Unfortunately two of them weren’t able to make it that night. They missed a yummy dinner of filet minion with the works!

This was a fun frame I found earlier this summer at The Christmas Tree Store. I knew I would be able to use them so I bought 6 of them.

Here is a close up of the cute cat and pumpkins insert. I used our awesome new embossing paste for the background. ( just added lemon-lime twist reinker for some color)

And of course I had to feature the cute owl stamp with this set!

Then for a coordinating card I wanted to keep using the cool new spooky cat punch, this was a card I featured at Bingo last night and I cased from a wonderful demo name Angela (we were in a swap together).

Here’s the list of other hoppers- remember to go visit each one and leave a comment in order to be entered to win our give-away!

No Rules! Stampin Friends July Blog Hop!

Hi everyone!
I’m super excited to be here today- I haven’t blogged in a while, between health issues and my schedule and a few curve balls along the way, I haven’t had much creative time lately and then, of all things- two hops on the same day! (hope you come back and visit me tonight when the other hop is published!) You’ve probably just arrived from Twila Davis’ blog- isn’t she just amazing? I love her projects! We have 9 demonstrators in the hop this month, be sure to scroll down to the list and click the name of the next person to see their fabulous creations.

This month our Stampin Friends group has an “Anything Goes” theme with No Rules! It’s kind of refreshing sometimes to have no rules, don’t you agree? So I decided to show off some new Christmas items I made with our brand new bundle from the Carols of Christmas!

First up, I knew I wanted to use our new embossing paste to make my evergreen trees look like they had snow on top of them… post-it notes to the rescue!

This created a defined space for me to put the paste on, just throw the post-it notes away when done. What do you think? Realistic, right?

Here is my finished Christmas Card- I used Emerald Envy, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake ink on the greeting, but the little deer is stamped in Soft Suede.

Here is a close up of just the snowy trees. It dries really fast!

For this hop, we also make a 3D item, so I decided to experiment to see what would coordinate with this card, tiny treat boxes were the perfect solution. I just ADORE the new mini boxwood wreaths, my first thought was to make earrings, but then I decided a box of candy was the perfect treat to go with this card.

You will definitely want to check everyone’s blogs out today, if you’re ready to continue on, just click Steph Jandrow’s name below, and you’ll continue on the hop!

Stampin Friends May Blog Hop

Hello Stampin Friends!

Welcome to our May Blog Hop- our theme this month is Flowers or Sympathy cards… I’m sure you will receive lots of inspiration from all of the talented stampers!

If you came to me from Raquelle’s blog- welcome! Isn’t she fabulous? Love her creations! Also, I’d like to give a shout out to Lori Mueller, our guest hopper this month! (we are in another hop together on the 20th of each month, you will love Lori’s projects, she is very inspiring!)

This is a card I created to incorporate both elements from this month’s theme, flowers and sympathy. Sadly, I’ve need far too many sympathy cards in the past few weeks and I depleted my stock in my own card rack. So I made up a bunch of these.

This card features the new Daisy Delight punch, stamp set (yes- it’s a bundle!) and the gorgeous Designer Series Paper. I used the greeting from Heartfelt Sympathy and used the smallest flower punch from the Tree builder punch to make the little yellow flowers (daffodil delight card stock) and then the small white centers are from the small hole punch.

Here it is without a sentiment so you can see the gorgeous DSP.

I totally ran out of time to make a new 3D project… my apologies. I thought I would share the two 3D projects I featured for my last WTGD (Way to Go Day) for my top 4 ladies on my team. This is a new quarterly rewards program I have started for this Stampin’ Up! year, the first one was in January after the first quarter was over. The second one was in April and featured these projects featured here, and we will have two more this year. Here is the original Blog Hop: http://wp.me/p3eRQX-1Y9

What do you think?

Well thank you so much for visiting me today, are you ready to go half to the next stamper?

Stampin Friends Birthday Surprise Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to our April installment of the Stampin Friends Blog Hop! First, let’s welcome our guest hopper this month, it is Jennifer Knape Cerizo! I can’t wait to see her creations! Welcome Jennifer!! And if you’ve arrived here from Lana Staab’s blog- thanks for joining me!

This month our theme is Birthday Surprise! I thought I would showcase some of my favorite retiring products! Day at the Beach is from our outgoing 2017 Occasions Catalog and Endless Wishes is from the 2016-17 Annual Catalog.

I started with our watercolor paper and stamped with Stazon black ink. Then I use our watercolor pencils to color in the images. I use the greetings from “endless wishes” and stamped with Versamark ink on black card stock and embossed with whisper white powder and our heat tool.

Of course a little wink of Stella helps make the images pop!

This card will be one of the greeting cards we feature in our upcoming stamp camp on April 29, it is easily customizable to any greeting you will need!

Just added a little flap at the bottom of the insert so it would hold a gift card!

My birthday surprise card and mini-treat bag coordinate beautifully and feature our brights color collection.

So what do you think? Can you believe most of these products are going away? Hurry if you want to get your hands on them, before they’re gone forever!

Ready to go check out what the rest of the bloggers have created this month? Just click each name in the list below. Have fun!

Click this image to see a list of items that are totally SOLD OUT, (also- check my website for updates as this list might have changed since yesterday): *Note Stampin’ Up! plans to manufacture stamp sets up to May 22nd, but all others are only available while supplies last.

Also, I’d like to welcome our two guest hoppers this month Mandy Reedyk and Sue Vine! Can’t wait to see your creations ladies! Also, new this month, we are trying a new format for our hop. You will find a list of names all the way at the bottom of this post, and you just need to click a name and it will take you to that person’s post. Fingers crossed that I “did” the link correctly! Funny story, we created these blog posts several weeks ago to be ready for this new format, and my intro said “Hello friends, what a beautiful spring week we’ve had”… well the laugh is on me, we’ve just survived Winter Storm Stella- or the Snow Apocalypse of  2017. I live in Upstate New York and we clocked in with 22” here in Glenville! I feel very blessed to have had 2 snow days the past two days! (oh the joys of working for a school again! I missed snow days so much the last 11 years). And I’m also thankful for a garage to park my car and my dear dad who plowed me out (twice) and a wonderful neighbor who snow-blowed my driveway!! The poor road crews have been working non-stop to clear our roads and highways. Kudos guys!

First up is my trio of Easter projects that I created just for you!

This cute egg carton Easter treat holder was designed by a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Peggi F., at our local Upstate Stampers get-together. She did such a great job with this design! I love the “polka dots” created with our reinkers, a little rubbing alcohol, and dabbed on with a q-tip! So sweet- thanks Peggi!!

This card I created especially for an Easter Card swap with Tami White. I made 8 of the same cards and mailed them off to her, and received 7 different ones back. (I’ll share those in a different post). Since I only needed to make 8, I decided to do a “more difficult” technique- so this is the side-step pop-up fancy fold card. I used mint macaron as the base and the in color’s DSP for the backgrounds. This new stamp set is called Easter Message (page 19 of the Occasions Catalog). I used our awesome watercolor pencils to color all the images.

I used our basic grey archival ink pad to stamp and watercolor on our watercolor paper and colored with aqua painters. The trick for me, is to color with a dull pencil, (not a sharp point). Also, I think the gold foil really works as the matte, it makes it pop, don’t you?

This card was a runner up for my Easter swap, but in the end it was far too complicated to make 8 of them. This pop and twist card is all the rage out there, but does take some time to cut and score all the elements. I used the Easter Message stamp set again, love it so much.

Here is the open view of the card, what do you think?

Funny story about this little Easter treat… I needed to come up with a shower favor and the theme was blue flowers in blue mason jars. So first I created the favor and then I realized it would easily convert to an Easter treat holder for my March club get-together, so I went shopping again for more of these little Lindt chocolate lambs (sorry if you live in Glenville, NY and you need some, I bought them all- and I wiped our Target and CVS.)

The little green base is a 2 3/4″ square (I used pear pizzazz here) and it is scored at the 2″ mark on all four sides. You cut four of the score lines to create tabs, so you can complete the little box. I stapled mine to hold it closed. Then glue on the jars and eggs, and embellish!

Well, that is it for today, I read all your comments, and I treasure each one. Would love to hear from you. If you have any questions about the supplies I used, let me know. They are all current Stampin’ Up! products found in the 2017 Occasions Catalog, Saleabration (glimmer paper) and Annual Catalog. I hope you have a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by. Now just click on a name and hop around to see the other 10 crafters blog hop posts for today!
