Hudson Falls Craft Fair/Vendor Event Success!

craft fair hf

This was my set up Saturday, we were in an awesome room in the American Legion in Hudson Falls. I had 2 eight foot tables for my space and got to know the vendors around me, they were so sweet, it was an awesome event!

this is a close up of some of the craft items I made to sell, they were a big hit. the little bunny cups were full of Easter candy.

This is the raffle basket I did in my booth, and the winner was Betty Alexander, it was so funny I was trying to call her, little did I know she was still in the Legion’s lounge, but by the time she got my message she had to come back and get her prize. Congratulations Betty!

The cards were also a big hit, I do need to remember to bring more sentiments for the inside of the cards. Several men commented that “there’s too much white space, I don’t want to write that much”… I had a good chuckle, mental note- bring more phrases to insert in the cards for the next event.

I have two more Vendor Events this month. Both are fundraisers for causes that are near and dear to my heart.

**On Saturday April 19th I will be at the Relay for Life fundraiser at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs. As a cancer survivor, I am proud to help raise funds for this event.

**On Thursday April 26th from 5-8 pm at Miranda Real Estate Group on Altamont Avenue in Rotterdam, I will have a booth and this is a fundraiser for the Albany Medical Center’s Children’s Hospital. Come out and help support two wonderful causes.

Please share with your friends and family! I will be doing more give-aways too!

Thanks for reading my blog, have a great day!

Spring Fling was a Success!

Wow, what an awesome night we all had at Spring Fling tonight. The firehouse was spacious, with good lighting for stamping. We had ample room and the flow worked perfectly. I am so thankful to my wonderful friends and downline Jamie DeCanio and Marilyn Halsdorf, without them this night wouldn’t have been the huge success that it was.

Here was a little thank you gift I came up with for each person who came to stamp with us tonight, it is made with the fancy favor die and the Fun Flowers BigzL die. Easy peasy to put together, you can whip these up in no time, these little boxes hold candy, gift cards, jewelry, and even our little 3 x 3 note cards.

I wish I had remembered to take more pictures, but I only took these 3 at the very beginning when the first couple of stampers arrived. As you can see from the photos, we had 4 tables set up as “stations” with each table holding all the stamps, inks, punches, paper scraps and pearls or rhinestones needed for the card. The ladies had to get up to go to the big shot table to emboss or die cut their elements. Each table was set for 6 people and it worked well for them to rotate at their own pace.

spring fling tableThis was the first table as you walked in the room. We had some treats (italian cookies, girl scout cookies, fruit tray and water bottles). We had all our doorprizes and we had 8 winners of various Stampin’ Up! product go home very happy indeed.

spring fling stampers2This photo shows the length of the space we used and the first stampers to arrive. Aren’t the tableclothes pretty? I didn’t even realize they made scented tableclothes, the green ones smelled like lime! Who knew?

Well, that concludes my blog post about Spring Fling. In case you missed it, here are the four cards we made tonight:

spring fling final 4Well, I need to go put in my last Sale-a-bration order, will click the switch in the morning, in case you late night owls who are reading this, if you need anything, I am placing the order in the morning, by 7 am.

thanks for reading and I hope to stamp with you soon! Thank you so much for choosing me to be your demonstrator. Let me know if there are any classes you’d like me to host in the near future!

thanks and until tomorrow, happy stamping!

Spring Fling is Finalized!

spring fling final 4
4 cards you will make at Spring Fling

Hey there stampers! Well, we did it! My friend and downline Jamie came over tonight and  we plugged away to finalize the cards we will be making at the Spring Fling on Thursday March 21st! It is a Card Making event being held at the Glenville Hills Fire Department (NOT the West Glenville FD that I mentioned in a previous post- my bad- so sorry! glad to catch my error before I made flyers and sent out emails!) Anyway, we plan on having room for 25 stampers, it is on a first RSVP basis. You can RSVP through me, or you Lynnzcrafter’s team member (Jamie, Kim, Tina, Elizabeth, Marilyn, Wendy or Judy). It is a $15 class fee which covers paper supplies, your envelopes, snacks, bottled water, and DOOR PRIZES! However, if you place a $25 order (before tax/shipping/handling) or more- then you will not pay for the class fee! it will be free!! Who doesn’t like FREE?? However, if you RSVP we do need to hold you to your spot- we’re taking you at your word and your RSVP may prevent someone else from attending if we fill up. SO, if you have a sick child or some horrible situation pops up, that prevents you from attending, you will receive your kit as a “To-GO” kit and you will work out a pick-up time and still be responsible for either ordering or just paying the $15 class fee. If there is “Winter Weather” that causes the Scotia-Glenville School District to cancel their after school or evening activities, then we will postpone the Spring Fling Event- we don’t want anyone taking unnecessary risks on the roads. We will let you know the rescheduled date as soon as possible, in the event of bad weather. This card making event is similar to the ones we’ve done since last summer at the Elks Club. When you arrive, you will check in and receive your packet of pre-cut and pre-scored card stock with all the corresponding layers and pieces you will need to go stamp/punch/cut/emboss. All the supplies will be set up at tables and you will rotate around the room, working at the 4 stations, at your own pace, until you are done. My team and I will be there to help you, should you need it, at any stage of the assembly. Door prizes will consist of a variety of items including: stamps, papers, ribbons, embellishments, hand-made items (by myself and my team). We ask that you RSVP no later than Noon on Saturday March 16th, as we have a great deal of preparing to do in advance of this event. We all work full time jobs and Stampin’ Up is something we do in our “Spare time”… (although I’m sure I’m not the only one who WISHES it was their full time job- am I right ladies???) I sincerely hope that if you’ve never stamped before, or never attended a Stampin’ Up event before, you’ll consider our Lynnzcrafter’s SPring Fling! Thank you for taking the time to read this blog, and feel free to leave me a comment or ask a questions.Until tomorrow, Happy Stamping!!~Lynn Streifert

Possible contenders for Spring Fling, what do you think?

spring fling 4

Hi There Friends, this is going to be a very quick post because it’s getting late, I lost track of time, and I needed to post to the blog. So here is the question for the day- what do you think of this card? I made it this weekend thinking it could be a contender for our big “Spring Fling” coming up on March 21st. I will post a few more possibilities too… we’re saving some surprises of course, but wanted some of your input.

Let’s call the card above the “Poppies” card.

spring fling 7

Here is another fabulous card, made by the wonderful and talented Jamie DeCanio. This card is the “Elements of Style” card.

didn’t she do a great job on the coloring? I love this card for so many reasons, mostly the combo of purple and green- I’ve always loved these colors together. what do you think??

~Until tomorrow, happy stamping!

(forgive me, but I want to “pretend” that I made this post before midnight… I started it at 5 of… thanks).

Spring Fling… Thursday March 21st, 2013

easter blessings

Hello Stampers,
Well I must say that blogging every day is a real committment, I have a whole new appreciation for my uplines, sister demonstrators and all those other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who maintain their awesome blogs. My goal is to post at least once a day. Some days there are multiple things I want to say, but I don’t want to run out of things to blog about, so I’m only doing one a day for now.

On behalf of my Lynnzcrafter’s team, we would like to invite you to our first ever Spring Fling! It is a card making event on Thursday March 21st, 2013. It will run 6:30-9:30 pm (it is an “Open House” format, which means you should plan to arrive any time before 8 pm and you’ll have time to finish all 4 projects. Spring Fling will be at the West Glenville Fire House. The cost is $15 to make 4 cards, you will receive envelopes, email with photos and directions typed out for all cards we make, snacks and doorprizes! Also, if you place a $25 order or more, then you will not pay a class fee at all! That’s right- the class will be free! That’s just our way of saying thank you for joining us and for your business.

Because we need to order some of the supplies to be sure we have enough of everything, and to be sure we cut enough for everyone who is attending, we’d like RSVP’s by March 15th, 2013. Then, if room allows, we may be able to accommodate you if you respond by March 17th. The reason for this, is all of us Lynnzcrafter’s demonstrators work full time jobs. We are Stampin’ Up demonstrators on a part time basis, and usually have just the weekends to get together and do all our prep for events like this.

If we have to cancel the event due to winter weather (snow or ice), we’ll follow the Scotia-Glenville School District’s cancellation on the television…. and the event will be rescheduled. *The Sale-a-bration special will be over on Friday 3/22 sorry.

If for some reason you are unable to attend (you are sick, you have a sick child) then you will be responsible for your class fee and will receive it as a “To GO Kit”, this means you will receive all your supplies and can assemble your cards at home. Just like our in class option, if you put in a $25 or more order, you will receive your kit for free.

If you sign up to bring a friend, we’ll have a special thank you gift!
Any questions? Feel free to leave a comment here, or feel free to message me on facebook (Lynnzcrafters page) or email: Lstreifert@nycap.rr.com

Hope you can join us, it will be a very fun night of stamping! If you have a child who is a responsible stamper, and you wish to pay the $15 fee for them to join us, we’d love to have them as well. Suggested ages are 8 and above, if the child is able to follow directions, work independently and respect the materials.

Each stamper will need to bring their “stamping supplies” or “go bag” (I was watching Criminal Minds and it reminded me of that when they have to grab their “go bags”…. isn’t Morgan a hunk? sorry, I digress) a Stamping “go bag” is your scissors, adhesives- snail, green bottle of glue, sticky strip, dimensionals- whatever you like to assemble your cards with and a bone folder. We will be putting glue sticks out on the table if you forget.
You might want to bring a camera, we will have a display area with other sample cards and items that you may photograph.

Well, that’s all for now. Please consider joining us for Spring Fling- we really would LOVE to stamp with you!!

Until tomorrow, happy stamping!
~Lynn
