Hi there Stamping Friends!

Have you missed me? Sorry I haven’t been blogging that much, since my diabetes crisis last month I am taking time to exercise and eat healthy everyday… boy does that take much more time than I thought. I was attempting to walk in the woods near me, but too buggy/muddy and I didn’t want to ruin my new sneakers. I joined Planet Fitness and enjoy going there, but sometimes I just want to think and not be surrounded by all that noise. This is a new favorite walking spot- outdoor track at a local high school, love it!

Thanks for all your good wishes- this new life style, combined with Plexus nutritional products, have really helped me more than I thought possible. (let me know if you want to know more about Plexus).

Creative Inkling Blog Hop- Favorite Retiring Stamp Set

Hi There Stamping Friends,

Our blog hop theme this month is “Favorite Retiring Stamp Set”… well, I couldn’t pick just one to show you here today, in fact since I planned our stamp camp last Saturday around this very topic, I thought I would share all 5 of our cards. We called it “Last Chance Stamp Camp” and had a wonderful turnout of stamping friends!

Here are the cards that we made:

First up was a card I designed to use for my own Father’s Day card this year:

This card features the retiring stamp set “Walk in the Wild” and I paired it with the retiring modern label punch as well. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Next card we featured was a card appropriate for a graduation or we had an alternative card for a simple congratulations:

The “Way to Go” stamp is in the set called Bravo, and it is not retiring (the Bravo set is carrying over to the next catalog). The class of 2015 is retiring, last chance to get it is June 2nd!

Sadly, Petal Potpourri is also retiring, June 2nd will be your last chance to get this gorgeous set! It has a coordinating punch called “Flower Medallion Punch” (the punch is returning in the new catalog because it coordinates with one of the flowers in the stamp set “Crazy for You” which is also carrying over.) The beautiful Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper has been one of my favorites, and I’m using it for my Stamp-and-Sip event on May 29th (I have only 2 spots left).

This card is the one I used to advertise the event, and I think everyone said it was one of their favorites:

This was a card I was inspired by Pinterest, but I couldn’t find the original creator… The set “By the Seashore” is retiring and I realized I had never used this set in a class at all. I also used Wetlands (the gulls) and Sassy Salutations (these two sets are continuing into the next catalog). No one complained about fussy cutting all the seashells out. fun, fun!

Last but not least, I also realized I had never featured in a class a stamp set that was part of a bundle called “Adventure Awaits” that was paired with the awesome mini stack of designer series paper called Adventure Bound. The stamps spoke to me, and I had to have them, and originally planned to use them for Father’s Day cards. This card was a case (Copy and Share Everything) by Mary Fish. I had two unopened packs of the Maritime designer series paper. ** Bonus- this DSP is on sale until Monday 5/25 in our “Weekly Deals”… get it for 25% off retail price! Awesome-sauce!!

So this was the full line up, I also had my downline make these cards at our team get together last week. I find it helps if they’ve made the cards, and then they can pick the card table they want to run at Stamp Camp…. and I’m so blessed that four of my downline were able to come and help run a table at the stamp camp, (shout out to Judy, Sharon, Audrey and Laurie)! Many thanks ladies!!

So if you’re interested in purchasing any of these retired items, they retire on June 2nd, but I wouldn’t wait to the last day… if I were you 😉

Last Chance Stamp Camp! (and our next BOGO)

Hi there Stamping Friends!

Just a quick post to let you know we are furiously planning two more big events for you- and please help us spread the word to all your friends and family, the more the merrier!

First up: Saturday May 16th from 9:30 am to Noon (we have the room until 1 pm, but plan to be there by 11 am at the latest so you have time to make your five cards) at the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church we are having a Last Chance Stamp Camp! This event will feature 5 cards with stamp sets that are retiring (all new cards of course- never a repeat with us!) Here’s our plan for the 5 cards:

Congratulations (appropriate for Graduation or just “Good job” to someone)
Father’s Day (or appropriate for a male birthday/thinking of you/thank you)
3 All Occasion Cards that you can customize with any sentiments/greetings you’d like!

The early bird deadline for $10 registration was supposed to be today, but I’m feeling generous and will extend that to Monday May 4th, then if you register between May 5-9th, and if there is still space available- then registration fee is $15 per person. (Registration means signing up and paying).

Hi Friends- did you have a chance to mark up your catalog yet? I haven’t finished either, but wow- there are dozens of great stamps that are retiring that are some favorites of mine. Although the retired list came out Tuesday and there was a mad rush and lots of computer/server issues, and many in-colors and accessories sold out, there are still lots of stamps and even more items added to the clearance rack! So while we’re saying goodbye to retiring products from the 2014-2015 annual catalog, before we do, we’re giving everyone an opportunity to order their favorites with discounts up to 50 percent off retail. Changes to My Digital Studio Print Options

Happy Friday to all my Crafty Friends! I saw an update on our Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator website and I wanted to share it with you, as I know several of you have tried, purchased, or are considering My Digital Studio. This is exciting to me to see that SU takes our feedback and is ALWAYS working on “ways to improve” and I just love that about them.

Here’s the scoop:

As announced in April, we are making some changes to our My Digital Studio product line. Here’s some more information about the upcoming changes to our print products.

In June, we are switching to a new print vendor. We are excited about this new relationship and their high quality product offering! Because of this transition, we need to make a few changes to our product mix-including discontinuing some items, changing prices and options on a few carryover items, and introducing several items. These changes will also require us to temporarily shut off ordering starting on May 31. (We anticipate that ordering will be down for two weeks.)

Discontinuing Items

On May 30, the following items will be discontinued. If you are working on any of these project types or want to order additional copies of previously completed projects, you have to place your orders before they are gone at 11:59 PM (MT) on May 30.

Item	Size	Reasoning
Linen Photobooks	11″ x 8-1/2″	Our new printer doesn’t currently offer linen photobooks, and we’ve had low order quantities in the past.
Leather Photobooks	5″ x 5″ 8″ x 8″ 11″ x 8-1/2″ 8-1/2″ x 11″ 12″ x 12″	We’ve had low order quantities and would have incurred significant price increases to keep these.
Hard Cover Photobooks	5″ x 5″	We would have incurred significant price increases to keep these. We will continue to offer a 5″ x 5″ Soft Cover Photobook at a competitive price.
Board Books*	8″ x 8″	Our new printer doesn’t currently offer these, and we’ve had low order quantities in the past.
Hard Cover Journals*	6-1/4″ x 8-1/4″	We would have incurred significant price increases to keep these. Instead, we decided to move to a Soft Cover Journal with two binding options.
Tags*	3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″	We would have incurred significant price increases to keep these. We suggest using new Project Life cards (see below) for tags.

*As you know, we have a variety of digital downloads with these specific project type templates. We are working on a fix in the software so that your previous projects will convert to a new project offering. For example, a 6-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ Hard Cover Journal project would convert to the new Soft Cover Journal. We’re working on fixes for the other discontinued project types.

Changes to Carryover Print Products
We worked with our new vendor where possible in order to keep costs low. Unfortunately, we need to make some small price and option changes to several of our carryover items. Watch for more information with all the new prices soon.

All Hard Cover Photobooks	Black and white endsheet options only	Our new printer does not offer the same variety of endsheet options. We examined ordering trends and found that the majority of the books ordered had black or white endsheets, so we’ve decided to continue forward with those two options.
	White fly sheet, same as our Soft Cover Photobooks	The vellum fly sheet would have caused an additional increase in the cost per book.
All Photobooks and Additional Pages	Price increases	There are increased manufacturing costs.
Individual Pages	Price increases	There are increased manufacturing costs.
	Minimum order quantity of 10	The majority of orders exceeded our previous minimum of five. Our prices would have increased even further if we kept the minimum at five, so we felt this was a good compromise.
Calendars	Price increases	There are increased manufacturing costs.
Cards	Printed on heavier weight cardstock	Our new printer offers higher quality cardstock at a comparable price.

New Print Products

We are excited to introduce the following items soon:

Print Ordering Downtime

Watch for more information, prices, and pictures for these new items in the coming days and weeks. As you can imagine, this shift will require some work on the back end before we roll out the new products. We need to make changes in the software and get everything set up with our new printer which will require us to turn off print ordering. We anticipate that the changes will take us about two weeks, starting on May 31. Again, if you are working on any discontinuing project types or will need an order during the downtime, please place your orders before 11:59 PM (MT) on May 30.

Happy Earth Day!

I have to admit something to you… I used to be “kind of upset” to share my birthday with Earth Day (isn’t that so immature??) It’s only been the last twenty years that I’ve been able to embrace and enjoy Earth Day being on MY birthday… just being honest here. My sister and my BFF used to do some Earth Day parties when we lived in Mont Pleasant for the neighborhood kids… I had a flash back to that this morning as I sat in my prayer chair and gave thanks to God for such a blessed life. I honestly teared up this morning thinking of how fortunate I am and it was overwhelming to get so many phone calls, texts, emails, e-cards, Facebook messages and the mailman has been bringing me such great mail!

I thought I would share the homemade cards I have received so far… I plan to continue celebrating my 50th birthday for the rest of the month!

Please don’t get me wrong- I LOVE all my cards- the store bought ones are touching and special to me to- it’s the thought that counts, right! I just thought that since you are reading my blog about stamping/papercrafting- that you would enjoy seeing the handmade cards, am I right?

I took today off from my “real job” so I could sleep in, have a leisurely morning, and later I’m going out to lunch and get pedicures with my loved ones… then later tonight my family is having my birthday dinner. I can’t wait- my brother (who’s a chef), his wife (is an amazing cook too!) and my sister (the best cake baker ever!!) are going to spoil me. The best part is being surrounded by my family, we are so close- not just physically close, but our emotional ties go deep… and I am so blessed to have my family.

I went on our Stampin’ Up! website this morning and was so happy to see a new announcement about Paper Pumpkin! This is the BEST news I could imagine, Paper Pumpkin keeps getting better and better!

Paper Pumpkin Prepaid FAQs
Q: What is a prepaid subscription?

A: Prepaid subscriptions provide an opportunity to purchase several months of Paper Pumpkin all at once. These orders can be placed on a customer, workshop, demonstrator, or online order. Plus they will qualify for hostess benefits.

Q: How many prepaid months can I purchase at once?
A: You can select a subscription for one, three, six, or 12 months.

Q: Is there a discount for ordering a higher number of months at once?
A: Yes, there is a savings. When you order a six-month subscription, you save $1 per month, and when you order a 12-month subscription, you save $2 per month.

Q: Can I order more than one prepaid subscription at once?
A: Each Paper Pumpkin account can only use one redemption code at a time. For example, if someone buys two six-month prepaid subscriptions, they’ll enter the first code and then, after six months, enter the second code.

Q: How are prepaid subscriptions redeemed?
A: When the order is paid for and closed, you will receive an e-mail with a redemption code and instructions on how to redeem. The e-mail will guide you to http://www.mypaperpumpkin.com where you will enter your code. The system will recognize the number of months you’ve paid for.

Q: Can a current subscriber order a prepaid subscription?
A: Of course! After you order and enter the code, the prepaid months will be used up before any future shipments are charged. When the prepaid months are over, the subscription will continue and be charged monthly to the credit card on file. Keep in mind that if a current subscriber is already attached to a demonstrator, the existing subscription will remain with the original demonstrator.

Q: Can a prepaid subscription be ordered with a hostess code?
A: Yes! You can go online and enter any of the prepaid subscription item numbers so the hostess can get credit!

Q: Can I buy a prepaid subscription with hostess benefits?
A: Yes. A prepaid subscription can be added to either the free or half-priced hostess items.

Q: Can a prepaid subscription be ordered as a gift?
A: Yes. Although this isn’t officially a gift subscription program, you can buy a prepaid subscription and give it as a gift. You’d just purchase the prepaid subscription and when you receive the redemption code, share it with the recipient of your choice who can redeem the subscription at http://www.mypaperpumpkin.com. One thing to keep in mind is that the redemption codes will not work across borders. (So, someone in Canada could not gift a subscription to someone is the US and vice versa.)

Hi there Stamping Friends!! I hope you had a glorious weekend, I know I sure did…we had a wonderful Easter brunch and egg hunt for the kids, and such fun taking pictures! (Well, I had fun taking pictures- I had to keep saying “someday you’ll thank me for this”… they don’t always enjoy the process). With all these new pictures I’ve been taking, I’m going to get them printed so I can begin using the new Project Life products in our new super fast and simple scrapbooking line. I have been dreaming of this day and am beyond excited- can’t wait to show you all what I’ve made and am planning some Project Life crops for the summer, let me know if you want the details.
