June Club Projects, continued…

Hello Friends!
Wasn’t today beautiful weather? I love it when it is in the 70’s, breezy and sunny, and no humidity! Just beautiful!

Tonight was one of my monthly clubs in my home. Everyone was surprised that I had 4 projects, it did take a tad bit longer, but no one seemed to mind. I showed you two projects last night, guess what I found to put in that cute little container? Jolly ranchers (hard candy and chewy candy and colored tootsie rolls). Yummy! It would make an excellent teacher gift! (See yesterday’s post for the picture of an empty container).

So these 2 cards here today were cards I came up with back in April when we could pre-order the stamps and inks as “pre-order” (just one more perk of being a demonstrator). I used the new in color reinkers and a dry aqua painter to paint the inks right onto the wildflower meadow block. Don’t you love these 5 new in colors? Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Baked Brown Sugar, and Coastal Cabana. I am. Love with this grouping. I even noticed my friend Barb was wearing a strawberry slush shirt tonight! These colors are everywhere! They are so on-trend right now!

Well, I have to run, I’m not ready for my class tomorrow night yet. Wanted to just post the other two club projects. Have a great night!

•All Best of stamp sets will include 3-5 images, including a never-before seen image, and will be priced at $14.95.
•While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month (with a new theme each month), all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.
•All Best of stamp sets are available in Clear-Mount only.
While we are releasing just one Best of stamp set per month, all of the Best of sets will be available until March 31, 2014.

My June Clubs are all ready, I’m only going to show you 2 of the 4 projects I have planned, I’ll share the other 2 projects tomorrow night.

This card is made with one of our new Hostess Stamp Sets in our new 2013-14 Idea Book and Catalog (or “catty” for short). The set is called “Simply Sketched” and I was so thrilled to get a set to showcase some easy watercoloring techniques. This card went together in a flash! I’m going to demonstrate to the ladies in my club all the various ways to work with our new Simply Pressed Clay. It looks pretty just white- but I will be posting some of the amazing ways you can color it! Tune in tomorrow for all those details.

What do you think of my little Candy Container? Do you know what this is made out of?? IN the new catty there is a pack of designer series paper (we call it DSP for short) called “Quatrefancy Specialty Paper”. Inside are two sheets of our window sheets with this wonderful mosaic design printed on in whisper white. I cut the sheets down to 8 1/2 x 3 inches and rolled them to fit inside an empty button/brad container! Used glue dots to hold it together, added coordinating designer paper from the same package (punch lids with the 2 1/2 inch circle punch) and a 3/4 inch band around the lip. I used daffodil delight seam binding to tie it together, just have to remember to stop and buy some candy on my way home from work tomorrow.

The winner of my weekend contest (online sales, Stamp-a-Palooza customers and weekend orders) is Amye Spiers! You have won the Artsian Label Punch and gift certificate for $20 in SU product!

Well, that’s it for tonight. Hope you had a great weekend, didn’t it fly by? I am always amazed at how quickly the weekends seem to go, there just aren’t enough hours in them.
Have a great week,
Happy Stamping,
Lynn Streifert
