The artist of this set of stamps is an employee at Stampin’ Up! Her name is Cindy Bowden and she fashioned this new line after her love of Japanese anime (especially Hayao Miyazaki’s work). Perhaps that love of cuteness (Asian-style) shows. In Japan they call it “kawaii.” Kawaii (???? [kaw?ai?i], “lovable”, “cute”, or “adorable”) is the quality of cuteness in the context of Japanese culture. (Wikipedia)
I don’t know about you, but this amazing duo is going on my next order. You will have fun coloring the stamped images with Stampin’ Write Markers. Mix and match the images and sentiments.
