Retiring Past Paper Pumpkin Kits

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads out there. My dad is away this weekend, so we will be celebrating one night this week when he is home from camp. I decided to catch up on some work in the craft room, including blogging and sending some emails. I thought you would be interested to learn that Stampin’ Up! has announced that there will be some of our past kits that will be retiring on June 27th- so if you want them, get them before they’re gone!

http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=112102

Hurry and order before June 27th, after that they are “retired” and no longer available. As an added incentive, for any online orders between now and June 30th (including these Paper Pumpkin specials, OR anything you just want to order), I have a FREE gift for you- that I will pop in the mail (or local peeps I will give you) as my thanks! I am very close to reaching my sales goal for the month of June, and I need a little help to push me over, (about $500 away from a sweet spot too). So,  I will give you either a clear “D” size paper pumpkin block or one sheet of dimensions with each $25 order from my online store. You must use Hostess Code: XFNCQJF2
Thank you so much for stopping by, have a wonderful afternoon.

If you are thinking of ordering anything this month, please use the Hostess Code:   XFNCQJF2

Fun Fold Card Swap

Spoiler alert for any of my Whirlwind Stamping stamping demonstrators who are swapping this month… but I was so excited with how my card came out, I decided to blog about it today!

So our August Stamp and Share Get Together with Dania Welch’s downline is tonight, and I challenged myself to do a swap card that features ALL new Products, new stamp set, new Designer Series Paper AND was a “Fun or Fancy Fold”. So I thought I would break out my brand new “Amazing Birthday” stamp set that I received free at Convention last month. I also thought about how challenging masculine cards can be, and thought of the patriotic colors in the Maritime DSP…. well, this was NOT quick to make, it was a lot of stamping, punching, fussy cutting and yes, some mistakes were made…. but I’m pretty happy with how it came out- what do you think?

IMG_0357

Want to know how I made it? Well, it is a Screen Card (I sure hope this is a “Fancy” enough fun fold card, it sure was challenging to make it!)

Coastal Cabana base is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/4″ Scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″ then punched bottom “Legs” using Decorative label punch and made the top with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

Then Stamped each image from Amazing Birthday in Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy ink pads, hand cut the “happy”, “today” and “amazing” words. Used the circle punches for the birthday cake and used the Little Labels punch pack for “make”. Used banner framelits to cut out the “Happy birthday to you” and the DSP behind it. Here’s the card recipe:

I love to hear from all of you- please leave me a comment and let me know YOUR favorite fun fold card!

If you need any of these items, just click the picture and it will take you right to my online store, so you can shop at your leisure!
Hostess code for August is: YA7CNZND in my online store at: http://LynnStreifert.Stampinup.net

*note if your order is over $150.oo- then don’t use the hostess code- as you will be eligible for $25 free hostess shopping dollars good on your order!

And don’t forget that if you purchase the Big Shot this month, you get to pick out a FREE Bundle!! (Choice of four)- let me know if you have any questions!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by my blog today! I really treasure your comments, so I hope to hear from you today! Thanks!!!

This was my Paper Pumpkin Subscribers Thank You Night of Fun! I used all new 2014-16 In Colors as my base card stock and inks, plus the new Moonlight DSP mini paper pack, for easy peasy card making! Who doesn’t need a bunch of little gift cards?? I think everyone liked the idea- we used ALL my Paper Pumpkin stamps for all the cards, and broke out the new “And Many More” for a nice small “Congratulations” sentiment.

IMG_9688

IMG_9689

Of course- what kind of party is it without a little snack?? This was totally easy, patriotic, and yummy! A little sponge cake with whipped cream and berries! Since the June Paper Pumpkin kit was the pinwheel kit, I made some up as favors and decorations- did you know that Paper Pumpkin subscribers can order refills of this cute kit?? So fun and easy!

One of the things I love most about stamping get togethers (besides the fun and friendships) is the creativity! Look at these amazing cards the ladies came up with!! My philosophy when I have an event is “Here’s my sample, feel free to copy it or make this YOUR own creation”, I think my customers like this philosophy and it opens up many opportunities for them to make cards that they need and will use.

Well, if you’d like to be invited to the next Paper Pumpkin Party- be sure you either subscribe on the http://www.mypaperpumpkin.com website and select me as your demonstrator, OR feel free to go to my Online Store at: http://LynnStreifert.Stampinup.net and click “Shop” and you can order a prepaid subscription for either 1, 3, 6, or 12 months!! Use Hostess Code: NTQYK6UV and remember to sign up by August 10th at midnight. That’s it- if you are an active subscriber and show up in my list of customers, then you’ll get your invite to the next party!!

Well, that’s it for today! Hope you have an awesome day, and remember- I would LOVE to read your comments! It makes my day to hear from you!!

Happy stamping!

Awesome Weekend, How was Yours?

Hi Friends!

Did you have a happy 4th of July weekend? Mine was fun-filled and busy! My nephew Ethan informed me that it was time for a sleep-over! I love that kid, and how sentimental he is. I love that they love to spend time with me, and I treasure family time!! Here’s some of the fun we had:

IMG_9633

We went for a hike… Unfortunately the trail was full of mud and bugs which didn’t thrill these two).

IMG_9636

They helped me with errands, and we got the graduation supplies for my niece Jordan’s party coming up, and needed a sweet treat- have you tried Sweet Frog? Yummo!!

IMG_9641

Love the Glenville Sports-Plex right near us, we had the bumper cars to ourselves!

IMG_9644

Later Claire helped me create this awesome card holder for Jordan’s party. Stampin’ Up! Cherry Cobbler baker’s twine to the rescue- used a whole package to make this tassle. Hot glued the top on a box that I covered in Basic Black cardstock.

IMG_9651

My sister had a delicious BBQ… corn on the cob, burgers, dogs, fruit salad, pasta salad, and yummy treats for dessert.

IMG_9652

In addition to brownies and cherry pie- she also made these amazing patriotic red/white/blue strawberries. They were delicious!!

IMG_9656

The ribbon came in last week and I was determined to get that all cut, wrapped and bagged up. Tried cutting ribbon in the living room while watching a show on my DVR, but that wasn’t a good set up. Moved to the dining room table, spread out and was able to finish all the ribbon shares yesterday! I sent an email to everyone in the ribbon share- hope to meet up with people this week and get you all your new goodies!  THANKS again to all of you who participated!

I also organized my current versus retired stamps in my craft room, and worked on a Project Life album, ordered 200 more photos for the big graduation party!

I’m gearing up for my Paper Pumpkin subscribers party, my NEW clubs, Jordan’s graduation party (and birthday this week too!), and I haven’t even started my convention swaps yet! I have a feeling I’ll be bringing them with me on the plane at this rate.

Well, that’s all for now- I will be placing an order this week, if you need anything let me know!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today- I wish you all a very Happy Monday!!

Lynn

Patriotic Summer Banner Class

IMG_9346

Although I didn’t get this made before summer officially started, I did finish it on Sunday morning and boy, I am sure happy with how it came out. As soon as I saw that Stampin’ Up! came out with new stencils, I was so excited about the possibilities! I purchased both our new Hearts & Stars Decorative Masks and Dots & Stripes Decorative Masks. They are different size dots and stripes than the stencils in the Build a Banner kit, and I knew the stars and stripes would look amazing done in Real Red, Night of Navy and I threw in some Smoky Slate for the letters. Also to the rescue were the new Star Framelits and this month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit!!! How stinkin’ cute are the pinwheels??? I adore them and I think they are just the perfect touch on the “Summer” banner… what do you think? OH, also, I used the NEW glimmer paper and the cute little star punch from our new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (I have been using those 3 new little punches on almost every project since they’ve arrived here).

Can’t wait for this class on Thursday! And for more patriotic themed projects! Stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by my blog to visit, and I hope you have a nice day!

Baseball Birthday Card

ethanbday

Friday was my nephew Ethan’s 7th birthday, and he is a big baseball fan, so I thought this card would be super cute for him for his birthday card this year. It was super quick to make thanks to the Big Shot, the Circle Card Thinlit set (which included that cute mini chevron shape that worked perfect for the baseball), the 2 1/2″ circle punch, the new mini star punch from our new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, the only tricky part was attempting to line up the edge of the piercing template to follow the curve of the ball (I just hand cut that curve from the punched circle).  Saw a card similar on Pinterest, what would I do without that website?

ethanbday2

Ethan really seemed to like his card, it was super quick to make.

I had a super weekend with lots of fun with Ethan for his birthday dinner and then the next day his birthday party. I forgot how funny a group of 7 year old boys could be.

Thanks for everyone who signed up for the ribbon share- the order went in last night, I’m so excited to get my hands on all that new ribbon!

I sent my next newsletter out via Mail Chimp, let me know if you’d like to be added to my e-newsletters!

I had to throw this last picture in there- since we were so close to Jumping Jacks, Amye, Jamie and I decided to grab dinner after stamp camp… Jamie ordered the same burger as Amye and I- only she didn’t know a Jackburger is a double burger- too funny!

Shout out to Amye, Jamie, Judy for all their help with set up and helping all the stampers! ANother shout out to Sheila and Nicole for helping us with clean up at the end. Special thanks to all who attended- I didn’t get pictures of you all, bummer- I was trying to get every stamper in action- but I missed several of you.

The room was nice and cool, spacious and very conducive to our Stamp Camp- we might be back again. THe cards we made/collected will be sent to the Wounded Warriors by June 20th- if you couldn’t make it to Stamp Camp, and you want to donate some hand-made cards- please let me know and I’ll be happy to collect them from you to include in our package.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I appreciate your time!
I sent out an email this morning about my new Ribbon Share- I’ll blog about the details tomorrow, so come back to visit! thanks!

Hello Stamping Friends!

On this Memorial Day my post is short and sweet, first- many thanks to all the Men, Women and their Families who have served in our country’s military and/or who are serving us now. Thank you for your bravery and your sacrifices! I am humbled by your generosity and thankful for people like you.

If you didn’t receive it, please let me know and I will get it right out to you. The newsletter has all the photos of the cards we are making for Stamp Camp and I extended the deadline until June 1st to register. We have several spots still available, so if you’d like to attend, please let me know- email me at LStreifert@nycap.rr.com

I hope you all have a very Happy Memorial Day!
