Hi there Stamping Friends! I hope you are all doing well! I know I promised you a newsletter, but I am still looking for space to do a large event- a Stamp Camp type event- with a Stamp-a-Stack theme… I have tons of ideas and not enough room in my craft room to pull them off. I really need YOUR input… where would you like to see me offer this event? Glenville, Saratoga, Colonie, Niskayuna, Albany, Ballston Spa, Burnt Hills, Schenectady?? Please leave me a comment if you’d like to attend this event, and which town would be best for you. (the projects will be similar to the Diva Day cards and totes I shared on my last post).

Here are some cards I spruced up from my retired cards/products box, and these cards will be going in my card rack for sale this Saturday at the Relay For Life Cancer Fundraiser at the Saratoga Springs Holiday Inn, 4/19 from 9 am to 4 pm. Don’t forget: FREE Admission & Fun for the Whole Family, Get your picture taken with The Easter Bunny! Over 40 Vendor will be in attendance! More than $400 worth of prizes to be raffled off. Face Painting!

April Club Cards

How was your week? I hope you all enjoyed the spring weather, finally! I’m thrilled to finally be getting back outside and started walking again.

I had activities every night this week and finally sat down last night to plan and start preparations for my club this month- nothing like cutting it close, whew.

I did some case-ing (again), I was so inspired by some awesome cards by fellow demonstrators in our local Stampin’ Up! group.

This first card was one we made last Sunday at our team get-together. The creators were Cathy K and Mary Beth W. Didn’t they do an awesome job? I love the watercolor paper- it holds up so nicely when you use the aqua painters.

This second card was inspired by a card that the ever talented Jean Hall brought for our sharing table. I loved how she used the new woodgrain big background stamp, embossed it in early espresso, and turned it into the flower pot. So cut and easy. Know how to turn it into a flower pot? Use the biggest oval framelit to get that curved edge on the bottom, then slice off the sides at the angle you want. Pretty easy.

The third card for my April club ladies is one that I designed, I really wanted to use the Trefoil Cross (single stamp in the Annual Catalog). I pulled some Wisteria Wonder DSP from my retired stash, it really made the card complete. I love doilies, don’t you?

This card could be easily turned into confirmation, first holy communion, sympathy, wedding, thinking of you, or pastor appreciation card.

I have a busy weekend planned, how about you? Any stamping plans? Hey- I have a favor to ask you- could you let me know what handmade item you would be likely to purchase at a craft fair? I have limited time and so many ideas, but I want to narrow it down to what people might be most interested in.
Don’t forget next Saturday is the Relay for Life Fundraiser at the Saratoga Holiday Inn on corner of Rt 9 and Rt 50 in Saratoga Springs. Hope to see you there!

Who could resist smiling if they received this card??? It is so bright and cheerful! This was another card we made at Saturday’s Diva Day with Deb Valder, she wasn’t sure who to give credit to for this card, as she found it on Pinterest…. but I clicked away and discovered that this card was made by a demonstrator named Vicky Hayes. Since we like to give credit to those who create, or inspire us, thanks to Deb for finding this card and to Vicky for creating it!

Can you tell what that oval frame is made out of??? It is our Gingham Garden Washi Tape item 129314 only $4.95 for three different rolls of this stuff. I am seriously addicted to washi tape, I am finding 100 and one uses for it- more on Washi tape in another post, another day. So you might be wondering how the washi tape turned into the oval frame? Deb put four rows of washi tape down on a piece of whisper white card stock, and then we nested the two smallest Ovals Collection framelits together, and ran it through the Big Shot! The word “Smile” comes from the stamp set “Happy Day”page 112 in the new catalog. Item #130297 clear mount is $16.95 or wood mount is item # 130294 for $21.95.

The flower is from the new gorgeous stamp set called “Flower Shop” on page 94. In clear mount it is item# 130942 for $17.95 or wood mount is #130939 for $23.95 and there is a matching punch that popped this flower out- called the pansy punch (page 183) item number 130698 for $15.95 but WAIT- Stampin’ Up is offering this as a BUNDLE for 15% off the retail price- so use Item # 132726 to get both clear mount stamp and punch for $28.75 or item #132727 and get wood mount stamp set and punch for $33.95… wow, what a deal! Who can pass that up?
