Stampin Friends May Blog Hop

Hello Stampin Friends!

Welcome to our May Blog Hop- our theme this month is Flowers or Sympathy cards… I’m sure you will receive lots of inspiration from all of the talented stampers!

If you came to me from Raquelle’s blog- welcome! Isn’t she fabulous? Love her creations! Also, I’d like to give a shout out to Lori Mueller, our guest hopper this month! (we are in another hop together on the 20th of each month, you will love Lori’s projects, she is very inspiring!)

This is a card I created to incorporate both elements from this month’s theme, flowers and sympathy. Sadly, I’ve need far too many sympathy cards in the past few weeks and I depleted my stock in my own card rack. So I made up a bunch of these.

This card features the new Daisy Delight punch, stamp set (yes- it’s a bundle!) and the gorgeous Designer Series Paper. I used the greeting from Heartfelt Sympathy and used the smallest flower punch from the Tree builder punch to make the little yellow flowers (daffodil delight card stock) and then the small white centers are from the small hole punch.

Here it is without a sentiment so you can see the gorgeous DSP.

I totally ran out of time to make a new 3D project… my apologies. I thought I would share the two 3D projects I featured for my last WTGD (Way to Go Day) for my top 4 ladies on my team. This is a new quarterly rewards program I have started for this Stampin’ Up! year, the first one was in January after the first quarter was over. The second one was in April and featured these projects featured here, and we will have two more this year. Here is the original Blog Hop: http://wp.me/p3eRQX-1Y9

What do you think?

Well thank you so much for visiting me today, are you ready to go half to the next stamper?

We Create Blog Hop- June 2016

Hi there Stampin’ Friends!! How excited are you that it is June 1 and the launch of our brand-new 2016–17 Annual Catalog? You will love all the new In-Colors and products!

This past Memorial weekend I spent time up at my parents trailer in Cape Vincent, New York. I went up to help them open up and clean the trailer, and while they watched their baseball games at night I worked on a TV tray and created some cards for a swap I am participating in, I decided to use this design for the blog hop today as well as it features several new products.
First for my inspiration I found this lawn ornament at my local Lowe’s. I love my new flirty flamingo!

This is the old TV tray I worked from.

juneblog

This was my simple card,  I stamped pink pirouette ink with the watercolor wash stamp (so glad that carried over!) onto whisper white cardstock. The flamingo is stamped in melon mambo, and with a q-tip I removed the melon mambo from the legs and beak… then colored right on the rubber with basic black marker. Pop of Pink DSP and the “Hello” stamp are from the new kit called “Oh Happy Day!” (I just adore this new kit- it is so bright and colorful!) then fussy cut the palm leaf and pineapple.
And here is my stepped up version. I would love to know which one you like the most. I love to read your comments!

Here are the two cards side-by-side so you can compare. I’d love to hear from you, please leave me a comment! thanks!

Inspire.Create.Share.2014- Post 5-The Make-and-Takes were Amazing!! (Spoiler Alert for September Paper Pumpkin!)

Hi Stamping Friends!

Are you enjoying all the photos from Convention?? It’s going to be really hard to decide what ones to print for my Project Life album I’m going to make, and I’m also thinking that while MDS Professional Printing is 20% off this month, I might as well make a little brag book of the trip too, right? Decisions, decisions- so hard sometimes! Actually- that was a problem I encountered in Salt Lake City last week- too many decisions to make! What classes to attend, where to eat, what sessions to go to?? It was kinda overwhelming at times, and a few times I found myself almost frozen with indecision- “someone else decide- I’ll go with the flow” soon became my mantra- for it was easier and helped me stay calm. I think I’ll be better prepared next year- as I’ll know what the huge crowds will feel like, and I hope to be in much better shape next year- working on it day by day!

Here are some of the new products we were able to play with, as well as some of the projects we were able to make:

IMG_0061

This duo was actually made by Amye (as I forgot elements of my kit back in the hotel so I didn’t make this card set at Convention), do you like it? All our stampers attending our Stamp-a-Stack event on Monday night will get to make one version of this card- the simple version on the left or the stepped up version on the right (with some minor substitutions for the clip)

IMG_9875 IMG_9876 IMG_9877 IMG_9878

I don’t know about you- but I am super duper excited about the September Paper Pumpkin kit! See those cute burlap bags, orange sequin trim, mini clothespins, and stamp set?! This is going to be a popular one for sure- and hey- if you’re not a subscriber yet and you want to be sure to get this great set- sign up by August 10th and you’ll get the  August kit (we also got to see it but not play with it- it is an awesome versatile birthday set) and September kit for HALF OFF (new subscribers).

Remember that I have a Paper Pumpkin Thank You Party- I will run my report each month, I’ll see who purchased the monthly kit- and then you will receive an email from me with the details of the Free Party! Next one is August 20th!! (You will need to have signed up or pre-ordered your kit by August 10th to get the invite for this one).  What do you think of the little burlap treat bags?? Cute right? If you don’t celebrate Halloween, there is a stamp that says “Eat Something Sweet” with this set. Amye, Jamie and I decided to make ours all up differently to show you the versatility of the stamps and stickers that come in this kit!  I will be having a Paper Pumpkin Party in September- right now I’m looking at 9/24, but I do want to wait a bit and see if Wednesdays will work for my subscribers.

IMG_9941 IMG_9942 IMG_9943

Amye, Val and I went to a “Master Class” with the Watercolor Wonder Simply Created Kit that will premiere in the new Holiday Catalog on August 28th. I am planning a class with this kit- it is so versatile and awesome!!

Stampin’ Up! is having a little contest on Pinterest and the card that gets the most “Pins” and “Likes” is going to win some amazing prizes- hope you would consider helping me out by voting for my card:

If you already “Pinned” and “Liked” it- many thanks! If you want to “Send” the card to anyone to vote-I’d be happy about that too!

IMG_9982

Project Life insert! Love this 6×8″ size!! (I made my  niece a big 12×12″ album for a graduation present, but I can see that this smaller size would be perfect for vacations, special occasions where you aren’t trying to insert 400 photos or more!!)  Notice anything new??? That’s right- we are coming out with a new handheld stapler- and our new Blendabilities markers can color the staples! Talk about coordination!! Love it, so easy to use!

IMG_0197

This one I’m going to use for my Convention x Project Life x Stampin’ Up! Album!

IMG_9983

These little journals made an appearance in the new Annual Catalog- they come in a two pack! (They used to be in the Paper Pumpkin “Try it Kit” but they decided to just bring over the journals as they were widely popular)! Brandi Barnard taught us several awesome tricks on how to cut this baby in half to make 2 mini notebooks out of one! So cute! Great for anyone in direct sales who needs to keep a notebook in the car to track mileage! Or for you to take to the doctor’s office to jot down notes so you don’t forget what the doctor says to you! (at least that’s how I’m going to use mine!)

IMG_0042 IMG_0043

Many of you have been asking if Stampin’ Up! was going to introduce any new tools or products, well I’m happy to say that after the huge success of the Envelope Punch Board, we once again teamed up with an awesome company and are launching the new Gift Box Punch Board when our Holiday Catalog goes live on August 28th!! It comes with directions/dimensions to make at least 15 different size boxes from 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ (used a 6 x 6″ piece of paper for the one I am holding) all the way up to a 12″ x 12″ piece of paper/card stock to make a 4″ x 4″ x 4″ box. I say “at least 15 size boxes” because I’m sure some genius mathematician or engineer has figured out how to make more than square boxes out of this baby. Want to get your hands on this ASAP?? I am taking “Pre-Orders” for the Gift Box Punch Board- it is $19.95 plus tax/shipping/handling which will be $23.71 total. I am going to accept pre-orders and payment for these up to August 25th (checks and cash will be deposited on 8/26 so the payment is in my account by the date I order- August 28th) – if you want to be sure to get your order in before they run out of stock (remember what happened last year when the Envelope Punch Board launched?? Back order status within the first month)- Let me know if you want “IN” on this new tool!! For everyone who pre-orders this Gift Box Punch Board from me, I have a free class on September 18th where I will teach you all the ways to use your new board! If you can’t make the class- you can make arrangments to pick up your punch board and I will email you the PDF tutorial of tips and tricks for using your new tool!

IMG_1579

I met these ladies while waiting in line to use the new gift box punch board- they are from Syracuse and Utica, NY! Small world! Hi Marilyn, Jan and Virginia- I hope to stay in touch with you and meet up with you again sometime! You helped the time go by quickly while waiting in line!

IMG_1580

Here is a somewhat close up of this awesome new tool in action!

IMG_1581
IMG_1583

I learned an important “tip” from one of the concept artists and an SU employee who has had lots of time to practice with this new tool! Can’t wait to share lots of tips and tricks with you!! Can’t wait to get this in your hands!

IMG_1254

IMG_9925 IMG_9926 IMG_9927 IMG_9928 IMG_9929 IMG_9930

I also got to color with some experts on Blendabilities! Learned a lot of tips and tricks for using these new alcohol markers! Have planned my reward class for all those who ordered the Blendabilities Bundle deal through me- will email you all to see if the date works for you, stay tuned!

wreath framelit

Also new in the Holiday Catalog is this amazing bundle! The Wonderous Wreath Stamp Set is in Photopolymer (they explained the strategy behind Photopolymer at convention- it is being used for all the two step stamping or when there will be a need to layer. Also, alphabet stamps are all going to be photopolymer from now on too. They made an announcement that they are going to launch each new monthly set on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and they are going to guarantee availability for at least 6 months! That will help me plan classes and event better- twice the set I purchased sold out before I ever got to use it, but now that won’t happen, yippee!

Notice anything else in this photo above? the Wreath stamp set and framelits will have tabs for ease in lining up- no more time wasted trying to line up the framelits with the stamped image, love it!

IMG_0186

I am going to turn this into a card, will post when done!

The rest of these cards were given to me by very generous, friendly demonstrators… I ran out of time and never got my swaps done- and when these kind people found out- they gave me their swaps anyway! WOW- I was just blown away- that is so selfless, and I am deeply grateful to Meg, Kristen, Amanda, Joanne, and Amye for sharing with me! Thanks so much guys- it really means a lot to me! I love these cards!

Hi Friends!

I had an amazing weekend full of stamping fun- how was your weekend?? The weather was just perfect and I was so blessed to be a part of a wonderful community event in Rexford on Saturday. It was a Craft Fair/Vendor Fair and they had wonderful kids activities, I met so many wonderful people and had so many family and friends come to visit me- it was just perfect- thank you all!

I’m never quite sure what will sell the best- and for this event the winner was the little mini purses! I sold out (thanks to my new friend the Pampered Chef rep Sandy)… that’s one of the best parts of these events- is meeting so many nice people!

My cards did great as well- I just need to remember to bring sentiments/ink pads as several people wanted to stamp a greeting on the inside- I need to add that to my list of things to bring next time!

Happy Memorial Day! and The Paper Players Challenge#197

memorial-day-drop-box

Hello Stamping Friends!

On this Memorial Day my post is short and sweet, first- many thanks to all the Men, Women and their Families who have served in our country’s military and/or who are serving us now. Thank you for your bravery and your sacrifices! I am humbled by your generosity and thankful for people like you.

Today I needed to make two quick cards, and I decided to try The Paper Players: Challenge #197

here is the sketch:

And here are my two cards that I needed- a thank you and a congratulations new baby boy card. All supplies are Stampin’ Up!

Let me know if you would like the supply list for either card and I’ll be happy to post it.

I spent a few hours finishing up my first Mail Chimp e-Newsletter this morning. I merged all my email lists of stamping customers, people I’ve met at craft/vendor fairs, and those who asked to be added to my newsletters. If you didn’t receive it, please let me know and I will get it right out to you. The newsletter has all the photos of the cards we are making for Stamp Camp and I extended the deadline until June 1st to register. We have several spots still available, so if you’d like to attend, please let me know- email me at LStreifert@nycap.rr.com

I hope you all have a very Happy Memorial Day!

Thank you for taking time out of your day to come visit my blog.

Stampin’ Up! Catalog Launch Party!

Good morning Stamping Friends!! I’m a tired girl this morning- we had a very fun first time EVER event last night (and boy do I hope Stampin’ Up! does this again!) They booked 40 movie theaters across the country for 7,600 demonstrators to attend a #‎CatalogPremiere party. The live broadcast was in Los Angeles, and I attended the viewing at Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY. I was thrilled that 4 of my downline were able to attend with me…. (but we missed you Kim, Judy and Kristen).

su-catalog6

It wouldn’t be a SU event without some gifts. These are the notebook covers and new pens I ordered from Vista Print. The pens say “Lynnzcrafters” on one side and “Thank you for being on my team” on the other side. With owls of course.

su-catalog9

Do you see the new product in this picture?

su-catalog7

We had a very nice dinner at Pizzeria Uno before the catalog launch party.

su-catalog5

Some stamping sisters Val and Peggi were right next to us!

su-catalog4

My upline Dania had a nametag contest- here was a photo of me wearing my nametag.

su-catalog8

Amye was pretty excited (and made the cutest name tag- in my honest opinion)

su-catalog3

It was so great to see and hear Shelli Gardner, the CEO and co-founder of Stampin’ Up! (she had a serious accident last summer and is a walking miracle) isn’t she elegant?

su-catalog10

And here it is… the brand new 2014-15 Stampin’ Up! Catalog!!! Isn’t is adorable?? I love the three generations of hands on the cover! I can’t show you any of the inside of the catalog yet, but will be ordering my new catalogs on Thursday…. and have planned my catalog launch party for my customers and friends on May 15th. Let me know if you want to attend- leave a comment on this post.

su-catalog2

So happy for Jamie- she won the first prize patrol! YIPPEE! This set is so versatile can’t wait to make some new projects with this!

su-catalog1

Here we were outside the movie theatre with our free stamp set, catalog, and Stampin’ Connection Magazine.

Whew, it was a fun night, a good time was had by all! Whew, this girl is pretty excited about all the new items and some returning favorites. I’m not allowed to spill the beans or show you individual items, but I CAN say that all of my friends who loved the canvas banner kit/refills in the Holiday 2013 catalog will be as excited as I am that they CARRIED over and are in this catalog- YIPPPEEE!! I am thrilled!! There are hundreds of new items, stamps, In-Colors (I can’t remember if we can talk about the new names yet), more to come!

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by my blog today! Happy Stamping!
Lynn
