Cards for Sale…

Hi there Stamping Friends! I hope you are all doing well! I know I promised you a newsletter, but I am still looking for space to do a large event- a Stamp Camp type event- with a Stamp-a-Stack theme… I have tons of ideas and not enough room in my craft room to pull them off. I really need YOUR input… where would you like to see me offer this event? Glenville, Saratoga, Colonie, Niskayuna, Albany, Ballston Spa, Burnt Hills, Schenectady?? Please leave me a comment if you’d like to attend this event, and which town would be best for you. (the projects will be similar to the Diva Day cards and totes I shared on my last post).

Here are some cards I spruced up from my retired cards/products box, and these cards will be going in my card rack for sale this Saturday at the Relay For Life Cancer Fundraiser at the Saratoga Springs Holiday Inn, 4/19 from 9 am to 4 pm. Don’t forget: FREE Admission & Fun for the Whole Family,  Get your picture taken with The Easter Bunny!  Over 40 Vendor will be in attendance!  More than $400 worth of prizes to be raffled off.  Face Painting!

There will be many Craft Vendors as well as:

Masking and Spritzing

Hi There Stamping Friends- I hope all is well with you! I sure have been busy with the end of the semester, and 32 final exams to grade for my Developmental Psych class. And this weekend was a quick little get-away with my family to Gloucester, Mass. We had a really nice weekend, but no wifi at the house we rented…so I wasn’t able to blog this weekend… but it felt great to unplug, you know what I mean?

Here is a great tutorial on how to mask and spritz (fill a spritzer bottle with rubbing alcohol – about 3/4 full, then add about 6-7 drops of  re-inkers) to create your own background paper for a nice card- the concept artist from Stampin’ Up! is Christina N. Hint- for even spritzing coverage, be sure to hold your hand back from the card stock you are spraying and push spritzer bottle quickly and firmly.

Step one – Punch out a bunch of hearts.

Step two – Cover the backs of the hearts with some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and let them dry; this should only take a few minutes. (The dried glue will create a repositionable/non-permanent adhesive on the backs of the hearts.)

Step three – Place hearts on the card base. Use the Paper-Piercing Tool to do this.

Step four – Spritz your card all over using even coverage.

Step five – Remove a few hearts and spritz all over again.

Step six – Remove a few more hearts and spritz all over again.

Step seven – Remove all of the remaining hearts and clean up any extra adhesive left behind using an adhesive remover. Your card base is finished!

Step eight – Embellish and finish up your card.

This is a fun and easy card, and another good use of the Owl Punch!
Happy Stamping!
