Snow Day! (& Facebook Live Reminder) and Bingo!

Well it certainly was predicted that we would get a lot of snow, in my area we got about 13 inches of snow but as I write this it is now turned to sleet and freezing rain. So glad this big storm hit on a long weekend and I have been hunkered down at home doing lots of crafts. I enrolled in an online creative convention which I have done before but it’s the first time I actually got to sit down and do the projects live, and I played online virtual bingo last night!

©️Stampin’ Up!

This is a photo of a card I made last month and mailed in a card swap I participated in, featuring three new items from our Saleabration catalog. I paired the botanical butterfly DSP and the grapefruit grove foil sheets with the sentiment from Part of My Story new cling stamp set. I shared this card last night in our online group as my #onlinecreativeconvention share. What do you think?

Yesterday was national popcorn day so I had some of this delicious popcorn, bonus it is buy one get one free at Price chopper! It was so fun learning from Erica how to do an online bingo event. I have a very popular monthly stamping bingo night, but I have never played online before and now the wheels and ideas are churning. Would you be interested in playing online bingo with me? Leave me a comment I may consider it if there is enough interest.

Speaking of bingo, Friday night was my live bingo event held up in Burnt Hills. The theme was pajama party and I found adorable plates online that had pajamas and bunny slippers. Everyone who attended got a package of our rhinestone gems as well as a sleep mask, you can see some of the girls had them on as a headband.

You can see most of the winners above but I forgot to take two photos, my friend Patty won the shopping spree and earned $135 to apply to her order that night with me, and my friend Wendy won the grand prize drawing for a brand new Stamparatus and carrying case! Congratulations to all the winners! All of the money that I gathered from registrations for everyone who attended was used for all of the prizes, bundles, giveaways, room rental, and paper products.

We had five projects and played six games of bingo. I tried something new and had one of the girls at each table is a demonstrator on my team and they were in charge of making sure everyone used the new ink pads and cling mount stamps appropriately, They also made sure the stamps were taken off the blocks before we rotated as one of the new aspects of our cleaning mount stamps is that they can’t stay on the black for very long or they stick they also made sure the stamps were taken off the blocks before we rotated as one of the new aspects of our cling mount stamps is that they can’t stay on the block for very long or they stick.

And I have to give a huge shout out to several people: first of all my deep thanks to Nancy and Laurie who came over and help me prep on Wednesday night. And huge thanks and kudos to several people: Laurie and Kathy who came early to help me set up, Wendy, Laurie, Sheila, Kathy, and MaryBeth for running the tables for me and also with Brigid, they all helped with cleanup too.

This bingo event takes approximately 15–20 hours to plan, prep, and hold the event. It is a lot of work but I do it because my friends love it so much and asked me to do this every month. I am humbled and blessed because of all their support …. bonus- this event is really what has helped me turn my business around and help me achieve the Stampin Up incentive trips. I am currently working hard to earn the Maui trip in the summer of 2020. Thank you for all of you who have joined my team and/or attended a class/club/event or ordered from me it is all helping and I am deeply grateful for you all!

©️Stampin’ Up

These were the five projects that we made at bingo, the Valentine’s Day card was easily switched up if they use the reverse side of the DSP and change the greeting it was a card that said Wishing you a lovely day.

Well I have one more announcement I would like to share with you: today at noon (EST) Sunday, January 20, I will be having my first Facebook live event on my Lynnzcrafters Facebook page. I sure would love to have you hop on and join us, I am doing some giveaways and will be doing a Stampin’ Up! Inspiration and going over some tips. I am hoping the live event will be between 30–45 minutes. This will be a test to see if people like a live event and I may be able to do this every week. Let me know what you think.

I hope you all have a safe day and stay warm and cozy inside! I’m thankful that all my family is off today and no one has to drive on these roads. We have a state of emergency right now and nonessential staff are not allowed to be out driving, hopefully later today my dear old dad will be able to come plow my driveway. 🙏🏻

Thanks so much for choosing me as your demonstrator, I appreciate YOU!

Team Lynnzcrafters Christmas Party 🌲

Happy Holidays Everyone!!
I had a lovely Christmas with my family, and a nice long weekend, but back to work yesterday (yes- I do miss the vacation week all my teacher friends get).

I was going through my blog posts and realized I never published a few that I had started before Christmas. Very worthy of sharing with you all, so here is a look at how I celebrated with my amazing Lynnzcrafters Team!

For starters, when people arrive, they can put their “grab bag” (a handmade gift) under the tree- this is the game where “stealing” is encouraged! Everyone brought some yummy appetizers or dessert to share- forgot to take photos of the spread, but it was amazing, as always!

Here are the 11 ladies who participated in the grab bag, and they are holding/wearing the gift they ended the game with… look at all those happy faces! We have papercrafters, knitters, wool-felters, jewelry makers, and painters amongst this group!! Seriously- best gifts EVER!

And here are the 13 who were able to attend the team party, thanks to Kara for showing me how the timer function worked on my phone!!

We also did a tag swap this year, everyone needs tags at Christmas time, right? Here are Kathy and MaryBeth with their tags.

Laurie and Wendy with their tags.

Elizabeth with her tags.

Diane, Kara and Sheila with their tags. And I forgot to take a picture of my tag, I’ll have to see if I can get a photo from someone who received my tag in the swap.

Then we split into 3 groups for my stamping project/Make and Take. It is a 2019 Calendar. I featured a lot of new products in the 2019 Occasions and Saleabration catalogs. (I plan to post a close up of all 12 months in a separate post sometime next week).

I put a box with 4 months at a time on each of the three tables, and rotated them about every 1/2 hour. Ladies helped each other to stamp and die cut their pieces.

We played Christmas music on Pandora, and crafted away. (Boy from this angle you can see how messy my craft room is… I really need to find time to declutter).

And here is a photo of my gift to each person on my team. I do still need to arrange pick up for those who couldn’t attend – (Sharon B. I will mail yours to you!) I’m so thankful to my friend Sariah who helped me order these amazing gifts for my team. I love drinking tea out of my new stainless steel travel mug- it stays warm for hours! I hope you’re enjoying your mugs ladies!

When do you take down your Christmas decorations? I like to keep mine up until Martin Luther King weekend so I can enjoy the white lights, there is something soothing about it, don’t you think?

I would like to thank you all for your continued support, encouragement and understanding this year. I seem to have grand intentions that often fall short of my own expectations (like blogging more often, or classes/projects that will take only a certain amount of time). But, I am learning to brush it off, take a deep breath, and be kind to myself by not dwelling on what went wrong, or what could have been better. In 2019, I am continuing to focus on having monthly stamping events for my team and customers where everyone has fun, helps each other, and enjoys time together. If you have any suggestions for me, please feel free to email me at my NEW email account: Lynnzcrafters@gmail.com

Fall Fun Bingo Night! 🍁

Well we had just a spectacular time last night at our fall fun bingo night! I rented my church hall so we could fit lots of friends who wanted to attend. I am so blessed to have the support and interest from all these wonderful ladies, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the delicious snacks you brought, yummy beverages, the delicious treats! Also for my helpers I could not do it without you!! I had my friend Laurie helped me with all the big shot work ahead of time, kudos to Nancy, Addie, MaryBeth, and Laurie for helping me set up the room. And deep thanks for Brigid and Sue who stayed to help with cleanup and put the room back together. I am so deeply grateful. ❤️

Because we had 25 ladies register in advance I needed to have five make and take projects as I had five people at each table. That is one more project than we normally do. But no one complained

This beautiful card is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) of my friend and fellow demonstrator Michelle I. She did this water coloring using our pencils with the new stamp set pleasant pheasants. {I was sad to have to tell the ladies that the chicken wire elements is turned off right now …they were so popular we sold out of them in just a couple weeks of this catalog being active.}

Now this sweet card I received as a swap in the mail from another demonstrator named Keri B and I did not have the stamps that she used on the original card so I substituted our burlap background stamp and just changed it up a bit.

I saw this card come through my Instagram feed earlier this month and decided to CASE (I knew it would be a perfect bingo card and one of the ladies to have a chance to use our alcohol markers called blends). the original creator was Alisa T. Can you see how beautiful the texture is from our new tin tile textured impression embossing folder? It looks just like the old fashion tin ceilings they used to have.

The fourth and final card was one I came up with recently when I had time to play in my craft room … I used a new set called peaceful place and it’s in the annual catalog. I decided to use it to showcase the beautiful fall foliage. To get the effect of the wet riverbed are used are fine tip glue pen and just spread some lightly on after the card was water colored and assembled.

Last but not least, take a look at this adorable little take out treat holder- it uses just a half of a sheet of card stock and I absolutely love our new toil and trouble DSP paired with the new spooky sweet bundle, aren’t those bats adorable?

And now are you ready to see who all the winners were last night?

I actually didn’t get a picture of two people last night, congratulations Marie who won the gift certificate and congratulations to Patty who won the final raffle of the night (which was a draw from all the tickets given out for attending, bringing a snack, dressing in fall clothing, and ordering from me last night.)

Well actually some people are little camera shy and didn’t want their photo taken, I understand.

I feel so blessed that 10 out of these 25 ladies are Stampin’ Up! demonstrator’s and came out to support me and I couldn’t be more thankful! Thank you everyone for your interest in stamping bingo nights, the next one is Friday night October 19! Let me know if you’re interested in attending and I will get you all the details.

They Surprised Me!

So Thursday night I headed off to Lisa’s house, one of my downline who volunteered to host our monthly team meeting. Little did I know that she decided to turn this into a surprise party for me in reaching the Gold Level with Stampin’ Up! (Which happened last Friday).

To say I was surprised is an understatement, and I truly felt so much love from everyone there and I am so deeply grateful and blessed to have this group of women in my life. Whoever would have thought a few stamps, ink, and paper almost 10 years ago would turn into a marvelous community of women who I consider my family?? My team is my tribe, and I am so blessed.

I rounded the corner onto her street and saw gigantic balloons spelling out the word GOLD; there were streamers, balloons, flowers, lights and everybody there was in on it!! They really surprised me! I have been on cloud nine all weekend and truly feel blessed to be the leader of this fabulous group of women called Lynnzcrafters! ❤️

Amye brought these fabulous gold photo frames and I took pictures with anyone who wanted. Some people are camera shy and I respect that.

Lisa had arranged with everyone to bring side dishes, she had a delicious cake made by a fabulous local baker; and Kara grilled our meat to perfection.

Lisa also prepared the card projects for our stamping time together and she gifted me with all the cards! It was an absolutely perfect night to stamp outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and togetherness!

I also received some fabulous gifts and handmade cards from these delightful women. Look at how they spoiled me:

I have to say I never would have turned cold if Jessica had not promoted to silver last Friday which triggered Lisa’s promotion to Silver elite, without both of those actions I would never have achieved the goal title. So to say I am grateful and feel so blessed is an understatement.

Heartfelt congratulations to both of you ladies for your new titles!

I came home late that night and set everything up on my hutch in my dining room so I could continue to enjoy their generosity.

We sure missed everyone who couldn’t be there that night, and one of our newest team members arrived a little late and I didn’t get her in any photos. Can you believe that there are 28 of us +2 adoptees? That means there are 30 Lynnzcrafters now, and growing. I am going to have to rent the church hall for next months get together so we are all comfortable my house is too small to fit us all.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these photos, would you like to join us? I would love to welcome you to our Lynnzcrafters Stampin’ Up! family!!

Have a wonderful day!

WCBH6 Masculine Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone and welcome to our June edition of the We Create Blog Hop, a monthly blog hop featuring all Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who love to share their handmade creations with all of you! If you just came from Jeanna’s site- thanks for popping by! Isn’t her work amazing??!!

Our theme this month is Masculine- and I’m sure you will find we have a wide variety of cards and projects just perfect for the guys in your life. My stamp set that I choose for our hop is a brand new one, we received it as a free gift for attending OnStage back in April and I just love playing with it. It’s called Animal Outings.  I decided to pair this month’s theme with a new fancy fold card I recently learned how to make, called “The Impossible Card” (because to the naked eye, it’s impossible to figure out how the center piece of card stock was created).

Today is the day our new 2018–19 Annual Catalog goes live, click the picture above and it will take you to the online version. (ordering online will be available at noon Mountain time, that is 2 PM here on the East Coast)

Ready to learn how to make this impossible card? Start with a piece of card stock that is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (here I used crumb cake):

Do you see on the photo above how it looks like a goal post?

you can make a small pencil mark 1/2″ from each end, and scored down 2 1/8″.

then from the 2 3/4″ mark on bottom length, score up to the 2 1/8″ mark. I think the photo helps more than anything.

then cut your three vertical lines (the goal post base and 2 ends) as shown above.

As you can see, when you cut on the score lines, the center panel will pop up. see photo above.

So here’s how it becomes an “impossible card”, just flip one of the side panels backwards! Tada! See that? Not so hard at all, really it’s a simple card that you can make look amazing with whatever stamps or embellishments you want to add.

Next is to cut some decorative designer series paper panels to spruce up the card. I went with something that was from the Share What You Love suite- this is the back of the blue floral paper.

I decided to trace my opening, and then trim down an 1/8″ so it becomes a perfect top layer on my two side panels.

The black strip is a stabilizer for the card, it is 1″ x 5 1/2″ long.

I decided to use the blends to color my giraffe and leaves and frog- this card would be so cute for a variety of occasions. the corner sentiment was from a stamp set I won during Prize Patrol at OnStage in April. Was happy to use it here.

Punched out some leaves in garden green to make it look like the jungle and added another piece in very vanilla over the top so I could stamp a name or personalized greeting.

This piece measure 3/4″ x 5 1/4″

Assemble and voila! What do you think of my Impossible Card?? I would love to hear your comments, scroll down below to see what my June Comment Contest Giveaway will be!

Birthday Bash with Creative Circle Design Team Blog Hop

Hello friends! Thank you for joining us for another one of our monthly blog hops with the Creative Circle Design Team, a small group of international Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators! Our team leader, Liz Holloway, keeps us all organized and gives us challenges and themes each month, it’s a wonderful source of inspiration! I hope you click on all the names at the bottom of this list to keep hopping along!

First I’d like to welcome  two more demonstrators to our CCDT. First up is a great friend of Liz’s and she is located in Abbotsford, BC. Please welcome Penny Hanuszak!

Next up is a wonderfully talented lady named Juan Ambida! She lives in Australia and is super talented! So glad to welcome both Penny and Juan to our cozy little group!

Since our theme this month is “Birthday Bash”, I wanted to show one of my summer birthday cards that I have created for the stampers in my August clubs.

I had to hold it closed to take the picture. Can you tell what kind of card it is?

Well if you guessed a card in a box pop up card then you are right!

Some of my club members requested a special pop up card when we were together last month and I came up with this design using our beautiful new birthday memories designer series paper! The trick with this type of card is to carefully lay out the pop up pieces before adhering them to the insert piece, as they must fit within the card or it won’t fit inside an envelope. I just love giving these cards to my friends- they are always so surprised when it pops open!

Want to know how to make this card? There are dozens of directions out there, but I wanted to simplify the process.

  • Start with 1/2 piece of cardstock cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
  • Score the long side at 2″, 4″, 6″ and 8″
  • turn and score the short side at 2 1/2″ from the top.
  • Trim the slots open at the 2-4-6-8 inch score lines to the score line.
  • Cut away the small tab on the top 1/2″ (made next to the 8″ score line) and reserve this for your inside tab for the pop up pieces.
  • If you want more inserts for more items to pop up, they will need to match (1/2″ x 2 1/2″)
  • use strong adhesive (I used our Tear and Tape) on the 1/2″ bottom tab.
  • Decorate sides with coordinating DSP.

If you have any questions please let me know, I might just try a video if there is enough interest! (I have been wanting to try videos for some time now).

I treasure your comments, it means the world to me (to leave a me a comment, scroll to the very bottom and click “leave a response”- your email will not be published!)

Now just click the next name in the list below to continue hopping around the world:

Guess what? I am getting VERY close to earning the next Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip to Alaska! I have until September 30th to earn the remaining points. I have been working very hard since the new year started on October 1, 2016. Of course, most of you know I had to cancel lots of events with my dear mother’s battle with cancer up to her death last November. Then I switched jobs and am away from home 2 1/2 hour more each day, which is less time spent on my Stampin’ Up! business. But the good news is, my customers and downline have been so helpful, and I’m in the home stretch. I am getting ready to announce my big $1000 Workshop, stay tuned for all the details in tomorrow’s post. (Any size order is super helpful, as is a Paper Pumpkin subscription, joining my team, or hey- just buying my  handmade cards from me too). Hope you come back tomorrow for all the details!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope you enjoy our hop!

We Create Blog Hop June!

Welcome to the June edition of the We Create Blog Hop- a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who hope to show you some ways you can “step-up” your projects with a few simple modifications.

First up is a simple card that my guests will be making at my Open House tomorrow night- I always like to have a little Make-and-Take featuring new products whenever I have a New Catalog Launch Party. This card features our New Very Vanilla Note Cards! Love them so much! This card also features a stamp set from my favorite new bundle- Wood Words. Love the Wood Grain Designer Series Paper Stack too (this little 6″x 6″ stack is a MUST HAVE- every piece is wood grain, and the front/back match each other! perfect for our little wood crates!!)

For my stepped up version of this card, I added the little rooster, a breeze to make with our awesome new dies! I used one piece of the wood crate and folded it over to make this card front. I used Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler inks.

What do you think? I love to hear from you- just scroll all the way to the bottom and leave me a comment, I really appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment, I treasure every single one.

Also, if you are interested in joining my 2017 Ribbon Share, there is still time, just scroll below to learn more!

Ribbon Shares are Here!

With the launch of the new 2017-18 Catalog on June 1st, I have been working on a new Ribbon Share deal for you. It was a little more difficult this year as we have over 50 new ribbons in the new catalog and they are absolutely gorgeous! It was a hard decision to make, but I am finally ready to promote my 2017 Ribbon Shares!

Here are the details of my 2017 Ribbon Share:

  • $50 per person for each ribbon share, plus shipping (or you can pick up at my house).
  • You will receive 2 yards each (consecutive cuts) from 10 new ribbon types, with 34 colors/styles for a grand total of 68 yards of new Ribbon!
  • Payment is due in Full by June 3rd, and will work in groups of 5 people per share (all the ribbons I have selected are in 10 yard rolls, so I need 5 people to make up a “share”). If I don’t have enough to complete a share, I will go in the order that I received payment to fulfill the request.
  • I will order all the ribbons on June 3rd and they should arrive by June 13th if nothing goes on back-order. I will need a few days to cut/wrap and prepare the ribbons for you. My goal is to have it ready by June 17th (so I can bring them with me to the BOGO sale, if all goes well).

Here’s what you will be getting 2 yards each of the following ribbons/colors:

  1. 1/2″ Finely Woven Ribbon in 5 colors: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, and Tranquil Tide

Creative Inking- Thankfulness Blog Hop

creative hop

Hello Again,

I was in two blog hops that happened to fall on the same day, today! And our theme here with the Creative Inking crew is also Thankfulness… it is such a great theme, and I am full of thankfulness- for my loving family, the doctors and nurses and medical staff who have helped us with my sweet mother’s battle with cancer and my sister-in-law’s battle with Crohn’s disease. The past two months have been a whirlwind of emotions and change for our family, but through it all our faith is sustained. I have needed a lot of cards to express my thanks, if you saw my post this morning, I used my beloved owl punch to create a card and little house. Now tonight, I’m featuring two simple fall cards that you could customize for any occasion!

Today’s card is for the Community Hospice staff who have given my mother such excellent care, just wanted to create something to tell them how much they are appreciated. I hope my card inspires you- is there someone you’d like to thank? I’d love to help you create a special, individualized card of appreciation.

I was so very happy that the Vintage Leaves stamp set from last year’s Holiday catalog carried over to our new 2016-17 Annual Catalog. These leaves are so versatile and there are thousands of ideas on Pinterest with this set. The coordinating Leaflets Framelits dies make cutting a piece of cake with the big shot. (List of supplies is below).  I love this color palette: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Garden Green. (I water-colored the die cut leaves to give them more texture and definition and so they would “pop”).

This technique is pretty simple, just water color (I used our Aqua Painters) the same color ink that you used to stamp the image. It fills in nicely on the leaves. Be careful to not “over-saturate” the image as this is our very vanilla cardstock- just go over once, or the paper will “pill”. For this card I added a mason jar from “Jars of Love” bundle, I have been noticing lots of different colored canning jars out there. What do you think of this version?

Don’t worry about going outside the lines, you’re going to cut them out anyway. Isn’t coloring relaxing?

Creative Circle June 2016 Blog Hop

Hi there stamping friends! I am so excited about joining Liz Holloway’s amazing Creative Circle Design Team! Thank you for having me Liz and I look forward to learning about my new Silhouette Cameo that I purchased (but haven’t had time to hook up yet) so I can enter the world of electronic-cutters. So very thrilled to join Liz, Sandy, and Carol this month.

One of the thrills of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is getting to pre-order product before the new catalog goes live. As you know, I also received a lot of new product when I was in Salt Lake City for the OnStage event in April. I’m happy to say I have enjoyed playing with my goodies, and today I am showing you a coordinating card and 3D item. I would love for you to leave me a comment at the bottom of this post before you hop on to all the other ladies blog posts.

First up is this fun Marquee Style Birthday Card, this can be customized with any colors you’d like. I used the softer Very Vanilla card stock for the base of this card and knew that the marquee cut out would look amazing against a brick wall backdrop, do you agree?

I sponged the brick wall piece of card stock with soft suede to give it a grunge look. I peeled the back of the glimmer paper off so I could stamp the little marquee stars and easily cut them out.

Can you see the gold shimmer inside the arrow? That luscious gold is from the Wink of Stella Gold pen, love how easy it is to apply!

Next up is my 3D project- I thought a fun curvy keepsake box with balloons, In-Color highlight and more gold would be super fun, and best part is, I just wedged the arrow and balloons (on a piece of window sheet) within the handles, no glue used, so you can pull them out to open the box and get the goodies. I think these would be adorable for favors at a kids birthday party- what do you think?
