SNOW DAY??? Have fun….

Hi friends, so I wanted to explain about my little faux pas… you see I often try to create my blog posts on the weekends when I have a bit more time to write, edit, take photos, and upload to wordpress here. I often schedule blog posts in advance… and well- just wanted you to know the wish list post from last night about 10 pm I meant to schedule it for 7 am… not sure how I messed that up, but well, I wanted you to know that I make mistakes too.. sorry! anyway, on to today’s post, hope you have time to create this cute little snowman.

This was an awesome post from the Stampin’ Up! blog, I’ve been under the weather and haven’t really created anything new, need to get my club cards prepped, hope to do so tonight. I also still owe you photos of my grab bag from last weekend, will take those later too. Enjoy!!

Remember our 3D paper pumpkin project from a few weeks ago? Now you can create fun paper snowmen using the same technique!

One snowman takes about thirty minutes to make—and they’re super-easy to put together. Make one for Christmas . . . then change his hat and get him ready for Valentine’s Day!

You could also put these snowmen to work as cute package toppers or place card holders for table settings. Or gather together your kids or grandkids together for a fun little party making snowmen families to decorate your home.

Create the hat using a 2-1/4″ circle, a 1-1/2″ circle, and 1-1/2″ x 5″ strip of cardstock or Designer Series Paper. Make the snowman’s body using 2-3/4″, 2-1/4″, and 1-7/8″ circles (or whatever size you wish)! Use the Owl Punch for eyes and the Bird Punch to make the nose and mouth. Easy!

Fall Fest was a Blast!

Last night I had the pleasure of helping out at Glendaal Elementary School’s Annual Fall Fest! I decided to have the kids decorate the fancy favor box die with Halloween stamps and punch art.

The boxes were a big hit! I had over 60 kids come make one! I could not believe how many cute costumes there were! There was a pie eating contest, crockpot cook-off, photo booth, races and games in the gym, cookie decorating, cider and donuts, and more crafts. The organizers did a great job, I was super impressed!

So thankful for these awesome helpers, they are in the Give Program at the high school and came to help out as volunteers! I could not have done this project without them! Thanks ladies!

How cute is this Trio from Frozen? I had to burst into “Let it Go”…. Got a few chuckles…

Greta was a great helper too, she made lots of boxes up to help others and she was right there to give a hand. She is one of the cadets in our girl scout troop, so proud of her!

How cute is this mother-daughter duo? They found a quiet corner to work together on a cute Halloween box!

These boys were awesome, they had great ideas and seemed to be in “awe” of the bat punch! Their boxes were unique and they even came up with a handle!

I love seeing girls and boys having fun with crafts, and boy were some of these kids creative!

Blendabilities Alcohol Markers are now available! I am so excited the wait is over! My July club ladies are going to enjoy coloring with these awesome new markers!!

Earlier this spring, Stampin Up allowed demonstrators to purchase the Blendabilities Alcohol Markers on pre-release. I love these markers and I must say, they are really fabulous as well as cost friendly. When I compared them to other alcohol markers I was very impressed.

Blendabilities are dual tipped one end is a fine point and the other is a brush tip, the colors are vibrant and rich, Stampin Up has pulled out all the stops with this one.

Stampin Up has equipped the Blendabilities with the best features of other markers into one marker. They have also taken the guess work out of trying to find like color shades that will allow me to get that progressive blend from dark to light or light to dark.

Baseball Birthday Card

Friday was my nephew Ethan’s 7th birthday, and he is a big baseball fan, so I thought this card would be super cute for him for his birthday card this year. It was super quick to make thanks to the Big Shot, the Circle Card Thinlit set (which included that cute mini chevron shape that worked perfect for the baseball), the 2 1/2″ circle punch, the new mini star punch from our new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, the only tricky part was attempting to line up the edge of the piercing template to follow the curve of the ball (I just hand cut that curve from the punched circle). Saw a card similar on Pinterest, what would I do without that website?

Ethan really seemed to like his card, it was super quick to make.

I had a super weekend with lots of fun with Ethan for his birthday dinner and then the next day his birthday party. I forgot how funny a group of 7 year old boys could be.

St. Patrick’s Day Fun!

The concept artists at Stampin’ Up! are a talented bunch, wish I had thought of all these fun kids crafts!! Thought that you might enjoy seeing Cindy B.’s creations from our Stampin’ Up! blog… these crafts are so easy, if you have our heart punches and a few other supplies. Make rainbows using the Big Shot and Circles Collection Framelits Dies. Create the pot using the Word Window and 3/4″ Circle Punches.

Don’t you love the new Banner Framelits Dies and the Mini Metallic Clothespins? The Happy St. Patrick’s Day sign was designed using MDS -my digital studio software, the download is called “Luck O’ the Irish”. It is then adhered to Champagne Glimmer Paper.

To make the leprechaun trap: adhere Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper (Gumball Green chevron) to an empty oatmeal box. Cut a border using the Big Shot, Large Scallop Edgelits Dies, and Gold Foil Paper. Cut the top using the Big Shot, Circle Collection Framelits Dies, and Gold Foil Paper. Use Gold Foil Paper, Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Gold Baker’s Twine, the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, and MDS to make the sign. (Use a hot glue and straws to assemble the “wee” ladder.) And if you love those pom-poms—get them for free with the Heartfelt Banner Kit when you spend $50.00 through March 31. (because it’s Sale-A-Bration time!)

Make “leprechaun footprints” using Gumball Green ink and the Baby Prints Stamp Set.

Basic Rhinestone Jewels add a bit of bling to our four-leaf clovers. For even more sparkle and shine, we tied the package with Gold Sequin Trim

I think these crafts would be perfect for the classroom, the office, or your own home St. Patrick’s Day display. I am going to try to whip some of these up for my hutch. Will post pictures when I make them.
