2017-18 Annual Catalog, BOGO, card making, Kids crafts, New Catalog Launch, New In-Colors, Punch art, scrapbooking, Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Online Ordering Hostess Code, Stamps on Sale

It’s BOGO Time!!

Hi everyone!

I’m thrilled to announce that my team and I are planning our next Lynnzcrafters BOGO (Buy One Get One) free Sale of our Retired Stampin’ Up! products!

Mark your calendar- it is on Saturday June 17th from 9 am to Noon

Location: Inside the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church- 816 Route 50, Burnt Hills, NY 12027 (this is across from Gil’s Garage).

There will be 7 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators selling their retired Stampin’ Up! products: stamps, ink pads, ink refills, punches, sizzix dies, card stock, designer series paper, 12×12″ scrapbooking supplies, project life by Stampin’ Up!, ribbons, buttons, embellishments, tools and much more!!

Our BOGO sale is different from others, here’s how it works:

  • You shop around the room (might want to bring a canvas tote/shopping bag) and pick out all the items you want to buy.
  • You go to the check out counter, where the fabulous Amye will calculate your total and give you a tracking sheet and order form.
  • You go to the catalog table and fill out the order form and pick out all new products from the 2017-18 Annual Catalog as you “free” items.
  • Go back to checkout and Amye will collect your payment and confirm your order (we will add tax and shipping on just the “new”).
  • Anyone living outside the immediate Burnt Hills or Glenville area will have their items shipped directly to them (this is a $6.95 shipping charge, but so worth it to get your orders quickly).
  • Free catalog to anyone who spends at least $25 at our sale that day.
  • Free gift (choice of items donated by the demonstrators in the sale- at the “gift table” such as cards, ribbons, 3D objects, etc) for paying in cash (this really helps us at the end of the day to divide up the orders)… but we of course accept checks and credit cards as well!
  • Free gift (choice from gift table) for orders over $50

On behalf of Amye, Tiffany, Laurie, Sharon, Brigid, Valerie and myself- we thank you for sharing our event, telling all your crafty friends, and your wanna-be crafty friends. Hey- bring the kids, since it’s almost summer break, they’ll need some Arts and Crafts goodies to keep them busy once school’s out.

Hope to see you on June 17th!

thanks so much and have a great day!

Kids crafts, Kits!, Paper Pumpkin, Stampin Up

Paper Pumpkin is 3 years Old!

ppis3 pic

Hi there stamping friends! Can you believe it has been THREE years since Stampin’ Up! launched their very successful arts & crafts kit of the month club (in the mail)?? I remember being with some of my stamping sisters at a Leadership event in Orlando, Florida when they gave us the first two kits ever created. (in January 2013)…Although we were wondering how the name “Paper Pumpkin” came to be- it doesn’t have anything pumpkin oriented in the kit… but they explained it was like a magical escape (like Cinderella at the ball), well doesn’t matter what they called it,  we were lucky to have the sneak peek then and boy am I glad I stuck with PP as they have gotten better and better every month!

They are always photopolymer stamps- which is awesome (clear, easily sticks on your blocks, can line up images perfectly). An ink spot (or two) and all the paper supplies are included to complete the kit as is, or feel free to experiment and make alternative projects. You may need scissors or wet glue to complete some of the projects/card kits.

I have a facebook group for anyone who wants to join, that has lots of great alternate ideas. There are also Pinterest boards and tons of ideas out there. These kits are popular with my customers of all ages, I have some who order the kit and do them with their children or grandchildren, some who are just starting out and find this is a perfect way to start with stamping, and of course I enjoy taking them to my card classes at the Senior Center. It also makes a great gift too!

  • In your first kit as a brand new subscriber, you will receive a “D” size block for free as a welcome to the club.
  • You can “skip”, “increase the quantity” or cancel your subscription at any time.
  • Refills of past kits often go on sale to subscribers only (usually the Tuesday following the shipment dates of the monthly kit).
  • If you purchase the three month subscription prepaid today (and redeem the code in the email that will be auto-sent to you by midnight tonight), then not only will you get March, April and May kits, but the three month subscription is on sale for only $55, and you get to pick a free Saleabration item too!

Why am I talking about Paper Pumpkin today? Well, it’s the LAST day to sign up to get this special commemorative teal blue birthday box and I bet there will be some super cute projects to celebrate the kit’s third birthday!

Ready to order?  Just click the photo below, for one, three, six or twelve month subscription. The photo is linked to my online store, you just order, and then remember to go to your email and REDEEM the code to get this month’s kit!

(I’m not sure why the $55 sale price isn’t showing up on this graphic, but BELIEVE me, it’s on sale, just click the photo and it will take you to my online store).
Are there some past kits you are interested in as well? Once you subscribe, you can order any of these past kits or refill kits, click the photo to head to my store and see what is available:

Christmas Joy! Creative Inking Blog Hop!

creative hop

Welcome to another month of stamping inspiration from a talented group of ladies! I can’t wait to see what my fellow demonstrators have to offer us this month!  You know I always have a hard time picking just one project to share with you on the hop. So for our “Christmas Joy” theme, I decided to show you what my Make and Take project was for my team retreat this weekend in beautiful Lake Luzerne, NY (the Adirondacks of Upstate New York).

True story- yesterday there was a mini snow squall and we actually had snow on the ground… luckily it melted within an hour! I’m soooo not ready for the real stuff. But hopefully this cute guy will suffice- this would be enough snow for me!

IMG_7427

I was inspired by the snowman on the Stampin’ Up! blog last winter, never had a chance to make him! One of my downline requested we learn how to make him, so I figured it out and prepped it for everyone to make on our 4th Lynnzcrafters Team Crafty Girls Get-Away.

IMG_7432

Want to know how to make him yourself?

make 8 whisper white circles in the following three sizes: 1 3/4″, 2″, and 2 1/2″. You will trim off the bottom 1/4″ to make them all flat. Score in the middle and fold in half. Then glue backs together (like a honeycomb) and glue to make a completely closed “snowball”. The hat is made with designer series paper: the strip is 1 1/2″ x 5″ and the two circles are 1 1/4″ and 2″.

Although glue dots held him together okay, it wasn’t sturdy enough, so I inserted a barbarque skewer up through all three snowballs and about 3/4″ above the top ball- this is so the top hat can be secured to the top of the snowman.

The then nose and two arms are from the bird builder punch and his eyes are from the owl builder punch. Then just string your greeting from a piece of linen thread and tie onto his arms.

Well, some of my team had some other ideas- look what additions they came up with:

IMG_7639

Do you like the touch of holly and the red bird on his hat? Those are not Stampin’ Up! products, but a cute additional touch- thanks Judy!

IMG_7540

Sorry this one isn’t a good quality photo- but can you see how Tiffany used our red pom-pom trim as his scarf? And she put the word “peace” on instead of “Noel”. Isn’t Frosty just adorable? You can make it too- and what a fun project to do with the kids!

We also worked on some other Christmas projects on our retreat:

IMG_7644

This was Amye’s Make-and-Take for each one of us… isn’t this Clean And Simple technique so sweet?? This designer series paper is amazing! I’m sure it’s going to be a top seller from this Holiday Catalog!

IMG_7648

Now let’s talk about STAMPS! When I started planning for this blog post I knew that I had my Frosty the Snowman project and was hoping for more fun and inspiring cards and 3D items to show you. Look at this gorgeous card that Laurie prepared for our Make-and-Take! Don’t you just love the pine trees in this new set called Wonderland? We stamped in Smokey Slate, Tip-Top-Taupe and in Craft White, embossed in White and with Dazzling Details (glitter) on the white pines. Love this card so much!

We did so much stamping, crafting and creating all weekend long, it was hard to pack up and come home, our mojo was really flowing! I took pictures of each stamper with all her creations, but I don’t want to spoil any surprises (a lot of gifts were created this weekend). I’ll be sure to post when the coast is clear for sure.

Bursting with Bundles!

Good morning stamping friends! I am overjoyed that my dad is able to come home today… I didn’t even have time to tell you he has been in the hospital since Thursday with pneumonia! Poor old fella! So good to see him recovering nicely to heavy duty IV antibiotics.

Since I haven’t had time to create much this week, I thought I would answer a customer’s question- what are ALL the bundles in the new Holiday catalog? I thought that was a good question and wanted to put them all here in the same place. You’re welcome!

bundle

So here are our 22 new Holiday Catalog Bundles:

Of course there are 5 of these bundles that I have shared both wood and clear mount- so you really have 17 different bundle options to decide on… what is your favorite, must have bundle??  I have my favorites- I shared my top 5 with you the other day, will be working on blog posts this weekend, and need to photograph my swaps that I just received this week, so you’ll see some inspiration soon.

So if you’d like any of these items,  you can either click the small photo of the object and it will take you right to my online store, or you can click the “shop now” button at the left side toolbar of this blog, then when you get to my online store and click “Shop Now”  at the top and then click “Holiday 2015” tab on the left. When you checkout- please use this hostess code: GDEBJGK6

Thanks so much for visiting me today, and please leave me a comment, I’d love to hear from you! Have a wonderful day!

I really appreciate all of your support, thanks so much! (Don’t forget our monthly craft kit in the mail – called Paper Pumpkin- is still 1/2 off until September 10th!)

Creative Inkling Blog Hop- Spring Has Sprung!

creative hop

Hello Everyone! Happy Spring! Can you believe it is finally here? What a long winter. Here in upstate NY we saw more snow than we’ve seen in decades. It’s still here actually, lots of snowbanks and lawn is still covered, but the end is in sight. I’m thrilled to be back again with our monthly Creative Inking Blog Hop! What fun last month, right? (although I feel bad if anyone rushed to get blendabilities markers- by now I’m sure you’ve heard the sad news that these alcohol markers are now discontinued.  If you have questions about your blendabilities, get in touch with your demonstrator so she can help you if they are defective or unopened.)

Now on to good news, Easter is around the corner and I love making cute Easter cards for my nieces and nephews. In fact, I picked this theme for the swap theme for my monthly downline get together which was this week as well. I love when I can create one card and use it for multiple events.

Here is the finished card- 2 versions actually one with button and one without, which one do you prefer?

IMG_1239

Do you know how I got those fun tie-dye colors?

IMG_1243

Yup, you are right- our reinkers and markers!  Let me tell you I have been having so much fun making colorful Easter eggs with this baby wipe technique. You take a new (wet) baby wipe, fold it up in half, add reinkers to the area you need (estimate your stamp size or mark it off somehow- you want more ink than stamp- you are making your own custom ink pad!) Make sure you pick colors that blend well together because they will bleed.

We used it in club this month too for our cute Easter Basket and treats- here’s a photo of that so you can see another project using baby wipe technique:

IMG_1185

When we made this Easter tag, I only used 4 colors (reinkers): Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango, and Tempting Turquoise… but I felt it needed more, so for this Easter card, I added to it:

IMG_1242

Can you tell what the new 5th color is?

IMG_1241

It’s Pistachio Pudding! Don’t you love how it blends with these brights?? Well, I need to remind you that Pistachio Pudding is one of the 2013-15 In Colors, which means it is retiring from the In-Color collection in just a few weeks. If you love them, stock up on your reinkers, paper and embellishments before we run out.

IMG_1238

To make the three chicks on the top row, I stamped the whole stamp in Daffodil Delight ink pad, then used a q-tip to wipe off the flower, bunny ears, and egg… then added color with our markers and be sure to give a “huff” of your breath before you stamp- the moisture will help get good coverage from using the marker as an ink pad. Hope you give this fun technique a try!!

So there are all my swaps for my team get-together. Our Lynnzcrafters team is really growing- we had four new ladies join up this month alone. I feel so blessed with the love and friendships that have been created through stamping! I’ll be forever grateful for that first catalog I discovered in 2004… little did I know that four years later I would be a demo myself. I have no regrets- other than I wish I had signed up earlier! I have met the most talented, generous, supportive people at both Stampin’ Up! and throughout all the groups I’m in. I have wonderful support from my upline and sidelines (like brothers and sisters). I could go on and on, but suffice to say- I think YOU should take advantage of our awesome $99 starter kit deal (pick $125 in products, pick either 1 free kit from Spring Occasions Catalog OR 2 free Saleabration choices), free shipping and all the perks that go along with joining Stampin’ Up! If you want to learn more, leave me a comment- I’d love to have you join my team! We are really growing.

Pretty Paper Beads by Stampin’ Up!

Hi there Stamping Friends! Did you like the blog hop we did yesterday? I hope you had a chance to check out the talent in the group… I know I have a few new must haves (stamp sets) after seeing their awesome work.

Once again I have been running short on time to blog about my own cards and work right now, hope to catch up this weekend- I have many new cards and projects to show you. For today, I wanted to show you the work of an amazing concept artist at Stampin’ Up! This content is from the Stampin’ Up! blog, and I wasn’t sure if you regularly checked it out or not, this is such a cute project- paper beads!! Read on and be amazed with Cindy’s gorgeous work:

Did you ever roll paper beads with toothpicks when you were a kid? I just rediscovered this fun, little craft—and making them is kind of addictive.

Just wrap a long, triangular piece of paper around a wooden skewer until you have a bead. Adhere the tail-end of the paper to the bead using a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then cover the bead using a thin coat of Mod Podge. Let your bead dry.

After making a few dozen of these little cuties I started to think of Easter eggs . . . and one of our new occasions catalog stamp sets—For Peep’s Sake, item # 138557—came to mind.

peep1

I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch (item # 137416) on the top and bottom of this Easter favor to create fancy edges.

peep2

To make the beads, I used Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper (item # 137784),Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper (item # 138633), and the Rich Razzleberry designs from the Brights Backgrounds Designer Series Paper Stacks(item # 130134).

Beginning at the top of a sheet of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, score every inch on one side; on the opposite side, begin 1/2″ from the top and score every inch. Draw diagonal lines between the staggered score lines to create triangles.

??????????

The beads don’t have to be rolled up perfectly; their irregular look is part of their charm!

peep5

??????????

When my friend, Bonnie, saw my paper beads drying, she said that they reminded her of an insect collection. My immediate thought was: butterflies!

??????????

There are many ways to make paper beads from Designer Series Paper. Just do an Internet search for “paper bead templates” and you’ll find plenty! P.S. If you use elastic cord to thread your beads, put a dot of Crystal Effects (item # 101055) on the knot and allow it to dry. That will help it stay secure.

Have fun!

Cindy B.  Sr. Staff Writer at Stampin’ Up!

Well what did you think?? Don’t you want to go try it now? I would love to see your work- if you want to share any of your creations with me, I’d love to see them! Have a wonderful Saturday! Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi There Stamping Friends!!

I hope you are staying warm… brrrr it sure is cold!  We are bringing you another fun stamping event next Saturday January 24th from 10 am to Noon at the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church on Rt. 50 in Burnt Hills. This event is perfect for children (age 6 and above) as well as new stampers! It is only $10 cost for 4 amazing projects (3 all occasion cards- many greetings will be available and one treat holder- too cute for words!!) We are going to offer a $5 discount to anyone who orders a minimum order with us that day.

We will have LOTS of samples of all new cards and 3D objects made with products from our new Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs!! You will be so amazed by some of these projects- bring your camera!

We will have cookies and water bottles for refreshments.

We have extended the registration deadline to Sunday 1/18 at 6 pm. Please contact me if you would like to attend. I am cutting and doing all the prep on Monday (1/19). I don’t like to waste paper, so I don’t prep more than I need.

Also- we will have some specials that day- anyone who signs up to be a demonstrator and joins my team will get their fee refunded and earn free classes, apron, products on top of the kit that is on sale! So many perks for joining at this time of year!

the final count will determine which cards we make- I want to keep things quick and simple… so far the one at the top is a definite (you can make with a butterfly or bird) and here are a couple other contenders:

The treat holder can be customized to be birthday, valentine’s or “just for you”. What do you think??

There will be handmade door prizes as well!

Let me know if you have any questions! Hope YOU can join us!! Beat the winter blues, and come stamp with us!

thanks,
Lynn
