Card Making at the Senior Center & Blog Candy Give Away!

Good morning stamping friends! I hope you have had a great week! Do you have fun plans for the weekend? Tomorrow we will be traveling to Syracuse to celebrate Mother’s Day with my family- looking forward to it, we have a lovely brunch at a restaurant called Justin’s Tuscan Grill and then hopefully if the weather cooperates we will head to a local park to visit and hang out together! I don’t want to show you my Mother’s Day cards/projects yet- so be sure to come back on Monday to see my creations.

Today I want to share with you four cards that I did last week at my monthly card class at a local senior center. Shout out to my friend and downline Brigid, she volunteers to come each month and help me with this class. Thanks so much Brigid!

This sweet card is one of two projects you can make from your March 2016 paper pumpkin kit! This kit made four cards of this size, and four gift card holders simply adorable!

Because I love my paper pumpkin kit so much, and I’d love to put one in your hands, because I have this prepaid gift card, I am issuing a blog candy challenge, leave me a comment about why you want a kit (what you would use it for, who you might create with, any comment about these fun kits). Be sure to leave a comment on this thread here on my blog, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a spot where you can leave a comment. Be sure to leave a comment by Tuesday, May 10 at 5 PM. I will draw one winner using a random number generator, and I will contact the winner between 8 and 9 PM to redeem this kit I will need your contact info.

This card showcases the free stamp set Stampin’ Up! gifted to us in our April 2016 paper pumpkin kit. The stamp set is called “All About Everything” and it is just gorgeous. I came up with this flower pot design to showcase a flat and simple card. What do you think? Those outgoing in colors just really pop, I used Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, blackberry bliss, and hello honey. Did you stock up on these colors before they retire?

This simple card showcases three products that are carrying over to the next catalog, so glad the kit called water color wishes is carrying over, also happy about the botanical blooms set, and timeless textures from the Occasions catalog!!

This fun card is perfect for that special guy, unfortunately this stamp set called “going global” is retiring, if you want this set, you must order it by May 31!!

Here are a couple variations of this card with other sentiments.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! I hope you have a wonderful day, don’t forget to leave me a comment if you want to be entered to win one free paper pumpkin kit! (This contest is open to everyone, my downline, customers, other demonstrators, and friends!)

Lots of Love! Stampin’ Friends Blog Hop!

12495188_10153783583701101_8417573911987275800_n

Hello! Welcome to the Stampin Friends New 2016 Blog Hop! I was so thrilled to be selected to be a part of this wonderful blog hop! You are not going to believe the talent from these Stampin Friends! (we are a group on Facebook as well- check us out if you want more inspiration!) If you arrived from Kathie’s Blog, thank you for continuing with the hop! Don’t forget to click the “Next Button” below to check out Siara’s amazing creations. PLUS, keep reading for a chance to win a bunch of new crafty presents!  Also this month we are excited to have three Awesome Guest Hoppers that you should definitely check out:

3. Mandy Reedyk

This month our theme is “Lots of Love!” Well, I don’t know about you, but that has me thinking of Valentine’s Day and sharing some hand-made cards and gifts with the ones I love. I hope you like my projects! Did you notice one of Stampin’ Up!’s newest stamp sets in the 2016 Occasions Catalog called “Beautiful Ride”? The second I saw this stamp set, I just knew I needed it, I had a total flashback to all the old Herbie movies by Disney. Remember watching “Wonderful World of Disney” on Sunday nights?

lovebug1

Of course one of my favorite “Herbie” movies was Herbie Fully Loaded, with Lindsay Lohan in 2005 (it feels like just last year- not 11 years ago I saw this with my niece).

43641_1199632684778_full

I have been a huge Disney fan all my life, and so are my nieces and nephews. So I thought they would love a Herbie valentine card and gift card holder.

IMG_0144

I used so many new Stampin’ Up! products for these two projects, there is a complete supply list of everything down at the bottom of the page.

IMG_0145

I used a retired stamp for the “happy valentine’s day” sentiment- remember “Good Greetings” from last year? Well, it was too big to fit in the washi label punch- so I “extended” it- by slipping in the paper you can trim the ends and get the same washi label look.

IMG_0146

Since Herbie the love bug was a pale yellow (remember “barely banana”? that would have been a perfect color to match the original Herbie).  I used So Saffron and fussy cut the car out. Colored the wheels in with my black stampin’ write marker. Notice the shimmer on the windows? That is my new favorite – the Wink of Stella glimmer pen (clear). I just love how instantly it makes everything sparkle- and NO DRYING time! Love IT!!

IMG_0147

When I got the card to this point I wondered how to enhance it- so I stepped it up a bit:

IMG_0148

What do you think of this version?

IMG_0149

Had to decorate the inside! love the stamps in the new “Going Global” stamp set! Perfect for Valentine’s day.

IMG_0150

Custom insert to hold a gift card, for inside the Mini Treat Bag.

Well, that is my contribution to the January edition of the Stampin Friends Blog Hop. What do you think?

2015 Holiday Catalog, Creative Inking Blog Hop, fall projects, Framelits, Halloween, handmade cards, Kits!, paper crafting, rubber stamping, Stampin Up

Hooray for Halloween/Amazing Autumn Creative Inkling Blog Hop

creative hopHi there Stamping Friends!

September is a super busy month, but I love the cooler temperatures (not a fan of hot weather), and my trees have been dropping pretty red and orange leaves for a few weeks now. I love autumn and I love Halloween! What a terrific theme for our blog hop this month, I hope you like my offerings and please leave me a comment- I love to hear from you and welcome your comments!

First up is a set of cards that I made for Halloween. Originally this was going to be offered at our Fall Fest stamping get together in a few weeks, but we decided to do just generic autumn cards for that event.

So this adorable owl card was one of my September club cards. Some club ladies decided to put the magic wand in the owls hand, but I forgot to take a picture of anyone else’s card super cute though I love this new stamp set!

This next card is another adorable Halloween card that I may do for one of my stamping get-togethers with the senior citizens they mentioned that they would like a Halloween card next time we get together so I will be showing them this one.

Next up is a gorgeous wreath that I saw on display at convention this summer. One of the artisan design team members, Allison O. (from Canada),  her blog name is “nice people stamp”. I knew from the second I saw this wreath that I wanted to re-create it and when I told my downline about it and showed them photos I took -they wanted to do it at one of our team get-togethers. So this Tuesday night 10 of my downline will be coming over … they all bought their own grapevine wreaths, and we will be stamping, cutting, and hot gluing these little babies together. Wish us luck!

I could not really figure out how Allison had made the little pinecones out of paper and lucky for me here in upstate New York and the beginning stages of autumn- my pine trees have dropped a lot of pinecones so I picked over 100 pinecones up today so everyone should have enough to hot glue those onto their wreath, if they want.

Last but not least I wanted to show you the season to season wreath decorated for autumn. I had a small class Friday night and we made these up …boy are Stampin’ Up! kits just amazing?? there are so many extra parts that the possibilities are endless!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today, would love to read your comments, and also- don’t forget to click “next” or “back” to hop around 11 other awesome demonstrators websites for their offerings! Have a great day!

Beautiful Swap Cards (part 1)

Hi Stamping Friends!

I hope all of you are well, I haven’t had time to blog this past week as my dear old dad had a terrible fall, broke his hip, and then while in the hospital recovering from hip surgery, the doctors detected heart problems. We are so very thankful for the excellent care he has been receiving at Ellis Hospital, and we are hoping they move him over to Sunnyview Rehabilitation tomorrow morning (just waiting for insurance okay). Thank you to all my friends, downline, customers and family who have been praying for my dad, and my family, at this difficult time. It has also been hard on my mom, but luckily we all live very close and are able to juggle work, and hospital visits. Thank you for your positive thoughts and prayers- we could feel them all!

I have had to cancel lots of classes as I am totally zapped (energy wise) and don’t have time for prep and pulling it off. Plus some kits are still on back-order. For this week, I’m just doing my clubs (which were all ready before I headed to Rochester last weekend for my great-Aunt’s memorial service) and one class at the senior center. Otherwise, I’m postponing all other classes until probably September. I will send out emails to those impacted. Thank you for your understanding. Family first, right?

Since I haven’t created anything new in a while, I thought I would share some of the swaps I received at Convention… I hope you enjoy them!

If you need anything (Stampin’ Up! supply-wise) I am putting in an order tomorrow (Monday evening) and/or you can always shop my online store and please use this hostess code: YCQVVKZB

I really appreciate all of your support, thanks so much! (Don’t forget our monthly craft kit in the mail – called Paper Pumpkin- is still 1/2 off until September 10th!)

I hope you have a nice day!

Hi there stamping friends! I wanted to share with you a couple of make  & take projects from the other night at our monthly get together at my up line’s house, our group is called whirl
wind stampers and boy did we have a lot of fun!

First up is this gorgeous card by our fearless leader Dania, she used a brayer to add color to the Typeset DSP. The set she used is called “The Wilderness Awaits”, #139365 page 86.

(We were cracking up- remember the trendy popular song from last year “what does the Fox say?” Too funny thanks Amye for finding that song!)

Next up was a card by one of our demonstrators named Laurie:

She use the new stamp set called “Wild About Flowers” found on page 74 of the new catalog item #138728 (this set has a lovely retirement greeting perfect as I have a couple of those coming up this month at work).

Our last make & take of the evening was the wow card by Karyn. Her cards are always intricate and full of lots of Sizzix parts look how amazing this card is:

Karyn use the set “From Land to Sea” item #139361 found on page 83 of the new catalog also the cute Sea Street stamp set that carried over.

This is a real showstopper with lots of fun elements on all sides! Thanks Dania, Laurie and Karyn for your awesome M&T projects this month! Come back tomorrow and see all our awesome swaps!!

Last Chance Stamp Camp! (and our next BOGO)

Hi there Stamping Friends!

Just a quick post to let you know we are furiously planning two more big events for you- and please help us spread the word to all your friends and family, the more the merrier!

First up: Saturday May 16th from 9:30 am to Noon (we have the room until 1 pm, but plan to be there by 11 am at the latest so you have time to make your five cards) at the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church we are having a Last Chance Stamp Camp! This event will feature 5 cards with stamp sets that are retiring (all new cards of course- never a repeat with us!) Here’s our plan for the 5 cards:

  • Congratulations (appropriate for Graduation or just “Good job” to someone)
  • Father’s Day (or appropriate for a male birthday/thinking of you/thank you)
  • 3 All Occasion Cards that you can customize with any sentiments/greetings you’d like!

cards last chance

The early bird deadline for $10 registration was supposed to be today, but I’m feeling generous and will extend that to Monday May 4th, then if you register between May 5-9th, and if there is still space available- then registration fee is $15 per person. (Registration means signing up and paying).

*Due to the vigorous amount of time to cut, score, and bundle all the “parts” to make these cards, we need to adhere to the deadline. Thanks for understanding!!

Next up: Lynnzcrafters Team BOGO Sale/New Catalog Kick Off Party: Saturday June 6th from 9 am to 1 pm  at the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church  My team and I are happy to be bringing you another fun sale of our retired Stampin’ Up! products (and some other arts and crafts supplies too!)  It will be similar to the sale we did in March… but this time there is no card making station as we’ll have more items for sale so we need the room for sale items! Also, this time for every dollar you spend on our sale items, you will then get to spend on brand new products in the new 2015-16 Annual Catalog (plus shipping and handling). *local delivery or ship to your home for a minimum shipping fee.   Free catalog with minimum purchase that day!

Thanks for stopping by today, happy Friday!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day and March Projects

Top O’ the Morning to ya! (can you hear my Irish brogue??)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, I wanted to share some special cards I made over the past 2 weeks:

IMG_1102 IMG_1099 IMG_1100 IMG_1101 IMG_1098

A few of these you did see before- as I entered two of them in the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge on 3/9 and I’m happy to say they picked one of my cards as their “Artist’s Pick”- YIPPEE! So excited about that!

I think I’ve shared with you that I don’t repeat cards/projects in my various events. So when I plan my club projects- I usually don’t repeat them, but this weekend I had my OpportuniTEA event and was so tickled pink to have some fun ladies over- and wanted them to make a tea related project and an Easter basket. Here’s what the OpportuniTEA event from Sunday looked like:

IMG_1214 IMG_1216 IMG_1217 IMG_1218 IMG_1221 IMG_1222

Well all three guests agreed to sign up and as of this moment Sharon has officially joined under Jamie- Congratulations to you both! And now Jamie just earned a promotion to Senior Supervisor (that’s really good Kudos Jamie!). Carol is also going to sign up under Jamie too! Yippee- Jamie’s Gems are growing! And I had great luck with Laurie signing up on Saturday after club- it was a spur of the moment decision that was guided by my friend (and downline Amye) telling her “if you just spend $40 more you can get a lot of free stuff by joining” I love that logic- sometimes it’s the “savings” and “earning free Stampin’ Up! goodies” that clinches it, you know?  And then Brigid also agreed to sign up! Amye has a recruit on the way this week, so this is really a week full of BLESSINGS beyond measure. I feel like the divine hand of God is at play, and this is my third Anniversary since my surgery for endometrial cancer- so I’m feeling extra blessed for sure.

Last, but certainly not least- are my March club projects- everyone loved them, and I’m so glad I could bring some Easter joy through stamping to all these special ladies:

11015853_10152652173931781_1283429035_n 11072779_10152652173851781_1431353775_n 11022978_10152652173811781_1616709802_n 10867181_10152652173781781_1547887870_n 11074784_10152652173716781_797934338_n 11041396_10152652173616781_1428400030_n

If these projects don’t scream “Spring is coming” I don’t know what does! Which one do you like the best? They were fun to create- I had some inspiration from Pinterest for the little chick. Also was inspired by Aly S. for the “hi” card using the new Saleabration items- I used three of our new March options just on that one card- can you spot them all?

Well, that it’s for now, I have to head in to work early to get the crock pot going- we’re having an Irish lunch today and I can’t wait.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day and be safe out there, thanks for visiting my blog! Come back on Friday- I’m in another Blog Hop and you’ll love all the spring and Easter projects and inspiration from the other 12 demonstrators and myself too of course.

HSS Sketch Challenge #206

Hi There Stampers!
Did you have a nice weekend, despite losing an hour of sleep? I did, lots of Stampin’ Up! fun here in Glenville, NY. Loved helping my newest recruit place her first order, she was so shocked that her $150 order earned her 30% discount since it was within her first 45 days, she also earned 3 free Sale-a-bration items, AND she earned $25 in free hostess rewards. We were both pretty happy about all she got!! There is time for you to earn these benefits too- I am having an Opportuni-TEA next Sunday March 15th from 3-5 pm. This is a chance to learn more about our $99 Starter Kit, and all the options you have if you consider joining this month! You can ask questions, and I have a little stamping planned, so if you’d like to come- please let me know the day before, by noon, so I can cut/prep for YOU! Hope you’ll come and will consider joining Lynnzcrafters! If you love stamping, crafting, and having fun- this is for YOU!

Now, on to one of my weekend projects. It has been forever since I played along with my favorite challenge Hand Stamped Sentiments. I received a custom order for some St. Patrick’s Day cards from a co-worker so I decided to combine the challenge from HSS and some St. Patrick’s Day cards. Here we go!

MARCH3

My first card with the HSS challenge 206 is this little shaker card. I found the mini shamrock confetti at a craft store and thought they would be perfect for some shaker cards. I love the little banners in this sketch, I took a small liberty tweaking it a tad, what do you think? In trying to find real St. Patrick’s Day green, I decided to use some gingham garden retired designer series paper.

This is the original design sketch. Simple and cute, right?

MARCH2

This card takes the sketch and turns it on it’s side. What do you think? Recognize this green? It is Gumball Green- I was so happy to still have a whole pack of this bright green. I was sad when it retired last year, I really love this shade of green. The image was a $0.95 download from My Digital Studio! I love being able to get digital downloads on my computer within seconds. This one is called “Go Green”. Love it.

Here are the supplies I used for this card that are available in my online store:

Be sure to come back on March 17th to see all 10 St. Patrick’s Day cards I made this year! Have a great night!
Thanks for stopping by to read my blog!

Cards for Sale @ Bella Nani Salon and Spa, Ballston Spa NY

Hi there Stamping Friends!!

Happy February! How are you doing? I’ve missed blogging this past week, but I was down for the count with a nasty flu bug. I’m all better now, thanks for your well wishes, I really appreciate your kind words!

Well today was a big day for me…. last month a friend from high school (Kimberly Krizan) offered me to have a spot in her business, Bella Nani Salon and Spa, to sell my handmade cards. I was so excited to have this opportunity and with all the snow had many snowy nights to make new cards, and sorted through all my completed cards from swaps, clubs, classes and events. I had an extra card rack and made some labels for each slot. This card rack is different from two others that I take to craft fairs and events, it is bigger and has 24 slots. So this morning I loaded up the car and went to set it up:

Here’s the outside of Bella Nani Salon and Spa, it is elegant inside and very warm and welcoming! Here’s a link to their website, if you want to check out their hours, or other services:  http://bellanani.com/  While I was there I ran into two other friends from high school and a fellow crafty friend, it was so nice to visit with them!  Bella Nani offers full salon services including hair care, nail services, waxing, makeup application and massage. It is so serene and elegant, you will LOVE it there! Hope you’ll consider stopping by either for their wonderful services or purchasing my handmade cards!

There they are, right by the cash register, what do you think??  Do you know how many cards are in this card rack?? Have a guess…. well there’s 24 slots- and I filled it with 70 cards. They are for sale for $3.00 each. No two cards are alike, and most are in protective clear sleeves. Envelopes are available in three colors: Whisper White, Very Vanilla (ivory) and Crumb Cake (light brown).

Most of you know that I am trying to earn the Stampin’ Up! incentive cruise to France, Italy, Spain and Greece, just five months to go and my nieces and nephew are all vying to be the one who goes with me (it is an all expense paid trip for 2)… I told them I don’t know who I’ll pick, but it will probably be the one who helps me the most… so we’ll see how things work out. It would help me out to increase my sales, and we need a few more people to sign up on the Lynnzcrafters team (I need two more recruits, and two of my downline need 1 each). I’ve been working very hard with lots of events and classes. All I can do is spread the word, encourage and pray. It’s in God’s hands if I earn this trip, I have a full time job and part time adjunct at a local community college. Stampin’ Up! isn’t my full time focus, maybe someday, right?

So if you’re reading this blog, and you’d like to help me out- think about this: do you need anything from one of our current catalogs or clearance rack? (even my non-crafty friends and family might need scissors, all-purpose double sided tape is great for wrapping presents, some note cards, or custom stamps that have your return address, or business name/address? Or, want to try to earn free products? Consider having a home party (I will work with you to customize the cards/projects). Or give Project Life a try- our new quick and simple memory keeping system- just slide photos in pocket pages, simple as that. We have oodles of kits- a perpetual calendar, spring bouquet of paper flowers, mini photo album, and many card kits. We also have a monthly craft kit in the mail program (called Paper Pumpkin). I can tell you more about any of these, just contact me at LStreifert@nycap.rr.com or give me a call. I’m happy to help you!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I appreciate you visiting this page!
