What a Weekend!

Hi there friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I know I sure did! I had 3 stamping events: Friday night Stamp Camp, Saturday morning club, and a private party at Patty’s house (yummy snacks, wine, and stamping fun)!

I got my 3 mile walk in today, it felt GLORIOUS! I do not lie, the weather was perfect walking weather! I had a friend over this afternoon to explain about Ambit Energy, and I was thrilled that she signed up as a consultant today!! Kudos Sue on making the decision to work on financial freedom! I do not regret my decision I made when I joined Ambit 3 years ago! I regret not telling more people about the wonderful a savings I enjoy each month! And my entire family and 14 other friends trusted me and selected Ambit Energy as their electricity supplier. If you’d like to learn more, check out my two websites:
To learn about saving money on your energy bill, and to see if we are in your state go to: http:\\Streifert.joinambit.comLynn’s Ambit website for customers
Or to find out how to earn money as an Ambit consultant, go to: http:\\streifert.whyambitworks.comLynn’s Ambit website for consultants
You’ll be glad you did, there are no costs associated with signing up as a customer, and in New York State, we do have a guaranteed savings plan. Thanks!

Now back to some stamping related news!
Here are the three projects we made at Patty’s party last night. All the ladies said they liked the water coloring technique and card the best.

Hi there stamping friends!

I’m not sure if you are aware of this tidbit of info, but as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, we have access to a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator only website which is chock full of cards, projects, scrapbook pages, 3-D items, and projects for any holiday or occasion you can think of. I go on this website daily, to check and see what others have shared with the community of demonstrators. In the past year, SU has opened our site (called Stampin’ Connection- get it, we connect with each other, cute huh?) to other markets, like Canada, Germany, France, UK, Australia, South Pacific, to name a few. I can not express how rewarding it is to see the work of, chat with, and learn from thousands of demonstrators. I have made friends from all over the country, and have several demos I hope to meet someday who are abroad now. Isn’t the internet wonderful?

Anyway, this card that I came up with for club this month was inspired by Sandy Mathis, a demonstrator who I have never met, but hope to someday- I do admire her work. We have this phrase in the crafting industry called “CASE-ing” and it stands for “Copy And Share Everything”… this sure has helped me in the past 4 1/2 years that I’ve been a demonstrator. Yes, I do take time to create and come up with cards and ideas on my own, but when I’m crunched for time or want multiple ideas to show a hostess, or need help with designs, I go to our Stampin’ Connection website for inspiration. I usually try to tweak it (colors, punches, additions, substitutions, etc.) to make it my own, but I have been known to CASE a card for club, workshops and events. There, that’s how we all do it!

So back to this card, it features the set “By the Tide” stamp set, like I showed you in yesterday’s post. I again used versa mark ink and embossed the coral in pool party embossing powder. I used real red ink for the lobster and happy birthday greeting (from Petite Pairs). I used River Rock for the Nantucket stamp. Then I used Crumb Cake ink on the shell, phrase, and the small dots are from French Foliage (so sad this is retiring!)

I am continuing my Contests and Giveaways with a free By the Tide Stamp Set in Clear Mount to one lucky winner! I will be selecting a winner on May 13th who shop my online store and use the Hostess Code: AQ69YM49 The hostess is Amy DeBiase, and I am going to collect outside orders to tack onto her workshop next weekend. I will enter each person into the drawing and will pull the lucky winner on May 13th at 8 pm. Remember, when you shop my online store, the order will ship to you directly to your house.

French Foliage, Retired List, Stampin Up

French Foliage Is Retiring

image
Hi there stamping friends!
Have you finished making your wish lists from the retired lists I posted yesterday? Many of the reinkers and retiring ink pads are sold out. I decided I would feature some of my favorite cards from classes and workshops using my favorite retiring stamp sets. Today’s featured stamp set is “French Foliage”, I have used this for cards, favors, wedding invitations, Thanksgiving placemats/name tags, and more!

This card was one I featured in a stamp-a-stack class:

And this card I made for a friends birthday:
