April Club Cards

How was your week? I hope you all enjoyed the spring weather, finally! I’m thrilled to finally be getting back outside and started walking again.

I had activities every night this week and finally sat down last night to plan and start preparations for my club this month- nothing like cutting it close, whew.

I did some case-ing (again), I was so inspired by some awesome cards by fellow demonstrators in our local Stampin’ Up! group.

This first card was one we made last Sunday at our team get-together. The creators were Cathy K and Mary Beth W. Didn’t they do an awesome job? I love the watercolor paper- it holds up so nicely when you use the aqua painters.

april club1

This second card was inspired by a card that the ever talented Jean Hall brought for our sharing table. I loved how she used the new woodgrain big background stamp, embossed it in early espresso, and turned it into the flower pot. So cut and easy. Know how to turn it into a flower pot? Use the biggest oval framelit to get that curved edge on the bottom, then slice off the sides at the angle you want. Pretty easy.

april club2

The third card for my April club ladies is one that I designed, I really wanted to use the Trefoil Cross (single stamp in the Annual Catalog). I pulled some Wisteria Wonder DSP from my retired stash, it really made the card complete. I love doilies, don’t you?

april club4

This card could be easily turned into confirmation, first holy communion, sympathy, wedding, thinking of you, or pastor appreciation card.

april club3

I have a busy weekend planned, how about you? Any stamping plans? Hey- I have a favor to ask you- could you let me know what handmade item you would be likely to purchase at a craft fair? I have limited time and so many ideas, but I want to narrow it down to what people might be most interested in.
Don’t forget next Saturday is the Relay for Life Fundraiser at the Saratoga Holiday Inn on corner of Rt 9 and Rt 50 in Saratoga Springs. Hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!

Lynnzcrafters Team Get Together was Fun!

Good Morning Stamping Friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I wanted to show you some photos of my Lynnzcrafter’s Team get together on Friday night.

We enjoyed chatting about the latest Stampin’ Up! announcements, updates and catalog launch party coming up next month.

I prepared supplies for them to make squares for an Easter Framed Art 5×7″ piece and cute bunny treat container:

team2

Here is Amye hard at work making her 2″ squares, they came out awesome!
team4

Amye decided on Smoky Slate textured card stock for her background, it kind of blends in with the table, but how sweet is this??

team3

Wendy and Jamie also changed theirs up a little bit too, I LOVE it when stampers put their own spin on their projects, and make them uniquely their own.

team5

Here is Wendy’s version of the Easter sampler. I unfortunately didn’t get a photo of Jamie’s squares, sorry!

In case you missed my original framed art piece, two of which were swap squares (the bunny by Wendy and the chick in the egg by Dania).

This cute bunny treat holder (made with the adorable mini coffee cups that I bought a ton of last fall) is a case from another demonstrator, named Susan Campfield. Isn’t is so adorable? The ladies filled their cups with Hershey’s kisses. Yum!

I wanted to end with a little update about anyone interested in joining Stampin’ Up! We all received a clarifying email the other day regarding recruiting new demonstrators. Due to clarification on the recruiting policies, I wanted to state that I will not be adding any additional incentives above and beyond the $99 Starter Kit special. I love being a demonstrator and don’t want my enthusiasm for finding friends to join my team to be interpreted as breaking the Stampin’ Up! policies. My apologies for any confusion I may have caused.

If you were thinking of joining Stampin’ Up! we do have a lot of fun, you receive at least 20% off all your orders (or 20% commission on your sales), I host a monthly stamping get together at my house, we have other stamping get togethers with my uplines, we get a free catalog in advance from others, we have an exclusive website for demonstrators only (full of images and projects other demos share), opportunity to earn free products, and much much more. I give my downline a discount on any of my classes or events, should they chose to attend. I also loan out stamps, punches, dies and materials to my downline for their crafting classes and projects.

So if that sounds like fun to you, there’s just one more week left on our $99 starter kit special. That’s right, only $99 but you pick out $150 in products, and no shipping! You also receive catalogs, order forms and business supplies to help you get started.

I would love to welcome more friends to my team, let me know if you’re interested! Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, have a wonderful Sunday!!

I have a couple openings in my two classes this Sunday March 23rd:
From 1-3 pm is my Easter Framed Art Class which will include the 6 squares shown in the Easter Framed photo above.
Also, you will make 1 Easter Card and 1 Easter Treat Holder (these are not pictured)
This class is $15 or it will be discounted as follows: class only $5 if you place a $25 order with me that day, or
Even better- the class is free with a $50 order with me that day (you would also earn a free Sale-a-bration item too!)

Then from 4-6 pm is the Spring Framed Class which will include 9 squares and a Spring Card (not pictured)
This class is also $15 or it will be discounted as follows: class only $5 if you place a $25 order with me that day, or
Even better- the class is free with a $50 order with me that day (you would also earn a free Sale-a-bration item too!)

*Now here’s the great part- if you sign up for both classes, discount of $25 class fee or only $20 class fee for both with a $25 order
Or if you place a $50 order, get both classes for only $10 and if you place a $100 order, both classes are free and you get 2 Sale-a-bration items
If you place a $100 order with me that day, not only do you get both classes free, and 2 Sale-a-bration items, but you’ll also get a $10 gift card from me as my thanks!

Space is limited to 8 people per event.

I will have snacks and beverages.
If you are signing up for both classes, of course you can “stay” in between and have some snacks, or get started early on the next project.

Please respond by 5 pm Thursday 3/20 if you are interested so I can plan/prep accordingly.

If you are interested in placing an order, head over to my online store at: http://LynnStreifert.Stampinup.net

when you are shopping, type in this hostess code: GPQC3CWG

This hostess code will link you to me, my name will pop up as the hostess. Every month, if there are enough qualifying orders from customers ($150 or more in orders), then I pull a winner of hostess benefits and/or other prizes. Sometimes the orders are smaller and I may choose to select a winner of a gift certificate with me, off any of my classes or events.

Since this is the last month of Sale-a-bration, it is a good time to put in at least a $50 order, as you can pick a free item from Sale-a-bration. (I have a link to the sale-a-bration flyer over on the side bar of this blog).

Now is the perfect time to plan your spring cards, home decor, Easter projects and don’t forget Mother’s Day is around the corner. These items would work perfectly in any of your papercrafting!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog, and please let me know if you ever have any questions! I’m here to help you!

Have a wonderful Day, and thanks for stopping by to read my blog!

Single Stamps here until July 31! (And more Easter)!

image

Hi Stampers!
Are you all ready for Easter? I found myself pulling out some of my favorites from last year, like this cute punch art bunny on our petal cone die! It’s one of my favorite Easter projects of all time, and we made it last year at a demo get together, thanks to Anne Kennedy.

image
Now this punch art bunny was something I quickly put together for a workshop, it really was fun to see kids punch and assemble these!

image
This card was inspired by Mary Fish, another demonstrator with Stampin’ Up! I just adore this little bunny’s backside.

Before I forget, did you see my title? The single stamps are here until July 31! Yeah! And to celebrate that good news, here are a couple cute and quick cards to make with the single stamp called “Towels for Two” item 132665 for $5.95

Wishing you all a very blessed Easter!
I have a post all ready for tomorrow, until then- happy stamping!

Lots of Easter and Spring ideas

image

Maybe the title should really be “Punch Art Galore!” I think these cards used a total of 12 punches and several texture folders and even a framelit all made on the Big Shot.

i have had several bags of “spare parts”, after a workshop, class, or event I just collect my spare parts and then, usually on the weekend, I sit down and put more cards together. The big bunny head was made last week at a group meeting, I already blogged about that last Sunday, but I really like how she fit right in this photo.

Punches are so versatile, and can turn an ordinary card into a wow card with little effort.

How many punches do you have? What punch would you love to see Stampin’ Up bring to us? I need a 2 inch circle punch and a hexagon (small to fit inside the honeycomb folder). Leave me a comment, I will be curious to see what kind of punch you want next!

~Until tomorrow, happy stamping!

Make-and-Take Projects

March 2013 Make-and-Takes
March 2013 Make-and-Takes

Hi there friends!

I had so many pictures to show you yesterday for Craft Wars and the Sale-a-bration samples, that I wanted to wait and share the actual Make-and-Take projects we did at our monthly team meeting yesterday for another post. Don’t you just love all the projects? It is so hard to pick a favorite, I can tell you that!

Easter Basket
Easter Basket

This little Easter Basket went together very quickly. The piece of cardstock was 7″ x 4 1/2″ and on the long side (7″) side it was scored at 1 1/2″ and scored again at 5 1/2″. On the short side (4 1/2″) the scoring was done at 1 1/2″ and again at 3″. Then you snip the tabs made on the four 1 1/2″ score marks then these get sticky strip and you fold around to make the little rectangle box. The handle cardstock piece measures 1″ x 8 1/2″ and both sides are punched with the border punch to give it a cute touch. Glue down a piece of 3/4 X 8 1/2″ designer series paper (or stamp images) this is the handle. Adhere that to the outside ends of each box. Then adhere a band around the whole outside parameter of the box. this piece of paper measures 12″ x 1 3/8″. (or you could stamp your handle). This project was prepared by Rosanne and Brenda, and I love how bright and cheery it is!

easter basket 2

The 2nd Easter Basket we made was easy peasy. This was a 8 1/2 square piece of card stock (8 1/2x 8 1/2″) both sides are scored at 2 3/4 and 5 3/4. Snip the outer scored marks to center line. (decorate the 8 squares with pieces of designer paper if you please) Fold inward until it covers the middle piece. Adhere a handle with brads and you are done! This project was prepared by Lucinda and Christina. Love the twitterpated designer paper on this one!

easter bonnet

Next I made this cute Easter Bonnet, which was brought to us by Deanna (and it was her birthday no less!) and Kathy.  I have to say I have been wondering for over a month what she was planning with all those button and brad containers! Isn’t this adorable! It holds candy (now), but would dress up any bedroom (earrings, rings), office (paperclips), or craft room (buttons, brads, punched items). I can picture a whole bunch of these as decorations all by themselves. The bottom is a chipboard coaster die cut with the scallop circle die covered with a piece of DSP cut by the scallop circle (use our super strong sticky strip to hold all these elements together). The top of the hat/container is made with the 2 1/2 inch circle punch (run it through the polka dots textured embossing folder). Wrap Naturals ribbon around side. Punch 8 small scallop circles (out of designer series paper- DSP can either match or coordinate with the bottom piece). spritz them with water. scrunch up, open up, nest all 8 circles together. Using Paper Piercing tool to put a hole through the middle of all 8 pieces. place a brad through the hole, then scrunch and fluff all the layers so it resembles a flower. Adorable!

easter bunny2013

Last but not least, I made this Punch Art Bunny Card! This card was brought to us by Karen and Margaret, isn’t this just the cutest punch art bunny ever?? The bunny face is made with the large heart die from the Hearts Framelit collection. (You need the big shot for this). The rest are all punches- ovals, circles, scallop oval to create the bunny face. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped on whisper white, punched out with word window punch. Then the modern label was punched out in crumb cake and put behind the “Happy Easter” greeting to make it pop- of course with dimensionals. Some pink sponging for cheeks, and details with our white gel pen and black marker.

So after Craft Wars yesterday, I was thrilled to sit down and make these four Make and Take projects. Does this look like fun to you? I’d love to bring you as my guest to the next team meeting (Sunday April 21st). Let me know if you’d like to come make some fun projects! OR, if you KNOW you want to join my team- see my post here with all the details on how to join the Lynnzcrafters family of stampers! Thanks!

~Until tomorrow, happy Stamping!

Spring Fling… Thursday March 21st, 2013

easter blessings

Hello Stampers,
Well I must say that blogging every day is a real committment, I have a whole new appreciation for my uplines, sister demonstrators and all those other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who maintain their awesome blogs. My goal is to post at least once a day. Some days there are multiple things I want to say, but I don’t want to run out of things to blog about, so I’m only doing one a day for now.

On behalf of my Lynnzcrafter’s team, we would like to invite you to our first ever Spring Fling! It is a card making event on Thursday March 21st, 2013. It will run 6:30-9:30 pm (it is an “Open House” format, which means you should plan to arrive any time before 8 pm and you’ll have time to finish all 4 projects. Spring Fling will be at the West Glenville Fire House. The cost is $15 to make 4 cards, you will receive envelopes, email with photos and directions typed out for all cards we make, snacks and doorprizes! Also, if you place a $25 order or more, then you will not pay a class fee at all! That’s right- the class will be free! That’s just our way of saying thank you for joining us and for your business.

Because we need to order some of the supplies to be sure we have enough of everything, and to be sure we cut enough for everyone who is attending, we’d like RSVP’s by March 15th, 2013. Then, if room allows, we may be able to accommodate you if you respond by March 17th. The reason for this, is all of us Lynnzcrafter’s demonstrators work full time jobs. We are Stampin’ Up demonstrators on a part time basis, and usually have just the weekends to get together and do all our prep for events like this.

If we have to cancel the event due to winter weather (snow or ice), we’ll follow the Scotia-Glenville School District’s cancellation on the television…. and the event will be rescheduled. *The Sale-a-bration special will be over on Friday 3/22 sorry.

If for some reason you are unable to attend (you are sick, you have a sick child) then you will be responsible for your class fee and will receive it as a “To GO Kit”, this means you will receive all your supplies and can assemble your cards at home. Just like our in class option, if you put in a $25 or more order, you will receive your kit for free.

If you sign up to bring a friend, we’ll have a special thank you gift!
Any questions? Feel free to leave a comment here, or feel free to message me on facebook (Lynnzcrafters page) or email: Lstreifert@nycap.rr.com

Hope you can join us, it will be a very fun night of stamping! If you have a child who is a responsible stamper, and you wish to pay the $15 fee for them to join us, we’d love to have them as well. Suggested ages are 8 and above, if the child is able to follow directions, work independently and respect the materials.

Each stamper will need to bring their “stamping supplies” or “go bag” (I was watching Criminal Minds and it reminded me of that when they have to grab their “go bags”…. isn’t Morgan a hunk? sorry, I digress) a Stamping “go bag” is your scissors, adhesives- snail, green bottle of glue, sticky strip, dimensionals- whatever you like to assemble your cards with and a bone folder. We will be putting glue sticks out on the table if you forget.
You might want to bring a camera, we will have a display area with other sample cards and items that you may photograph.

Well, that’s all for now. Please consider joining us for Spring Fling- we really would LOVE to stamp with you!!

Until tomorrow, happy stamping!
~Lynn
