Convention – Papercrafts and more with Lynnzcrafters

Hi everyone, I have been so busy getting ready for our huge 30th anniversary celebration for Stampin’ Up! but I have a little time before I head to the airport so thought I would share some photos with you. This was one of my gifts that I made for my team who came down to Orlando with me. I found the font online it’s called Waltograph. I knew we would be getting a new bag and wanted them to have bag tags.

this is my friend Sue, so glad to run into you! We used to be in a blog hop together, thanks for the hug my friend!

On Wednesday we headed right to check in to get our wristbands, bags and gifts (thank you Susan for taking my things back to the hotel for me!) and hop on a bus to head to Epcot, Stampin’ Up! gifted us a free day at Epcot and had a special dessert and announcements in the evening right before the fireworks. It was so magical to spend that day with my friend and downline, Lisa, (It was her promotion in August that triggered my promotion to gold), and it was a true blessing to be recognized and rewarded for that while we were here. Two of my downline, Tiffany and Amye coordinated to be at Epcot that day it was great to catch up with them while we were there and so many other demonstrators celebrating too!

Thank you Lisa for my golden Minnie ears, I will treasure them! We had a wonderful meal in Mexico for lunch, and then in morocco for dinner. Thank you for your generosity!

We received so many wonderful gifts from Stampin’ Up! they had fabulous stamping projects for us to make during our lunch time. They had a timeline of all 30 years of the Stampin Up company around the room, it was great to read about all the milestones.

we are so excited about the new products that will be coming in the occasions catalog, and the new Sale-a-Bration offerings are fantastic, you will love them all! These two new catalogs will launch on January 3rd.

Beautiful Swap Cards (part 1)

Hi Stamping Friends!

I hope all of you are well, I haven’t had time to blog this past week as my dear old dad had a terrible fall, broke his hip, and then while in the hospital recovering from hip surgery, the doctors detected heart problems. We are so very thankful for the excellent care he has been receiving at Ellis Hospital, and we are hoping they move him over to Sunnyview Rehabilitation tomorrow morning (just waiting for insurance okay). Thank you to all my friends, downline, customers and family who have been praying for my dad, and my family, at this difficult time. It has also been hard on my mom, but luckily we all live very close and are able to juggle work, and hospital visits. Thank you for your positive thoughts and prayers- we could feel them all!

I have had to cancel lots of classes as I am totally zapped (energy wise) and don’t have time for prep and pulling it off. Plus some kits are still on back-order. For this week, I’m just doing my clubs (which were all ready before I headed to Rochester last weekend for my great-Aunt’s memorial service) and one class at the senior center. Otherwise, I’m postponing all other classes until probably September. I will send out emails to those impacted. Thank you for your understanding. Family first, right?

Since I haven’t created anything new in a while, I thought I would share some of the swaps I received at Convention… I hope you enjoy them!

Please mark your calendar for a new Craft Fair/Vendor Fair I am doing this Saturday August 16th from 10 am to 4 pm up in Ballston Spa. One of my old friends from high school, Kimberly Krizan, owns Bella Nani Salon and Spa, right on Rt. 50 at 133 Milton Ave. Ballston Spa, NY 12020 There are going to be lots of vendors selling their awesome products. (I know of Avon, Miche purses, Jamberry nail wraps, and many many more!)

I am going to be inside with my handmade cards, some gift items, and a Make and Take project (and a raffle item)… Hope you can stop by, if you do- PLEASE be sure to come inside and see me!! Oh, and I heard the kiddos are going to be selling Lemonade, how cute is that?? Hope to see you Saturday!

Are you enjoying the photos from Convention?? I hope so! Here are a few more random, but favorite shots… it really was a magical week and I had the time of my life. Stampin’ Up! had an “After Party” (following the Awards Ceremony) and it was a County Fair themed night- super fun!

They had a mechanical bull!!! Too bad I was wearing a dress, darn…. like that was the only thing holding me back 😉

Stampin’ Up! sure knows how to coordinate their decor- don’t they??? How sweet is this little country side bar?

And there was an AMAZING country band- “Drive” and there was Country Line Dancing!!

No one wanted to leave… the band was THAT GOOD!

Oh, and they had yummy fair food- lemonade, funnel cakes, popcorn and ice cream~

There was a Stampin’ Up! product give away- it started as a “fishing game” but there was a malfunction- so some of us were given a product. I got a roll of chocolate chip chevron ribbon!

It was a very magical and fun night!

Well, today is a busy day- off to my friend Elizabeth’s son Matthew’s graduation party up north. Tomorrow hope it’s nice and can go to our local county fair- fingers crossed it is a nice day. Hi Stamping Friends!

Are you enjoying all the photos from Convention?? It’s going to be really hard to decide what ones to print for my Project Life album I’m going to make, and I’m also thinking that while MDS Professional Printing is 20% off this month, I might as well make a little brag book of the trip too, right? Decisions, decisions- so hard sometimes! Actually- that was a problem I encountered in Salt Lake City last week- too many decisions to make! What classes to attend, where to eat, what sessions to go to?? It was kinda overwhelming at times, and a few times I found myself almost frozen with indecision- “someone else decide- I’ll go with the flow” soon became my mantra- for it was easier and helped me stay calm. I think I’ll be better prepared next year- as I’ll know what the huge crowds will feel like, and I hope to be in much better shape next year- working on it day by day!

Here are some of the new products we were able to play with, as well as some of the projects we were able to make:

This duo was actually made by Amye (as I forgot elements of my kit back in the hotel so I didn’t make this card set at Convention), do you like it? All our stampers attending our Stamp-a-Stack event on Monday night will get to make one version of this card- the simple version on the left or the stepped up version on the right (with some minor substitutions for the clip)

I don’t know about you- but I am super duper excited about the September Paper Pumpkin kit! See those cute burlap bags, orange sequin trim, mini clothespins, and stamp set?! This is going to be a popular one for sure- and hey- if you’re not a subscriber yet and you want to be sure to get this great set- sign up by August 10th and you’ll get the August kit (we also got to see it but not play with it- it is an awesome versatile birthday set) and September kit for HALF OFF (new subscribers).

Remember that I have a Paper Pumpkin Thank You Party- I will run my report each month, I’ll see who purchased the monthly kit- and then you will receive an email from me with the details of the Free Party! Next one is August 20th!! (You will need to have signed up or pre-ordered your kit by August 10th to get the invite for this one). What do you think of the little burlap treat bags?? Cute right? If you don’t celebrate Halloween, there is a stamp that says “Eat Something Sweet” with this set. Amye, Jamie and I decided to make ours all up differently to show you the versatility of the stamps and stickers that come in this kit! I will be having a Paper Pumpkin Party in September- right now I’m looking at 9/24, but I do want to wait a bit and see if Wednesdays will work for my subscribers.

Amye, Val and I went to a “Master Class” with the Watercolor Wonder Simply Created Kit that will premiere in the new Holiday Catalog on August 28th. I am planning a class with this kit- it is so versatile and awesome!!

Project Life insert! Love this 6×8″ size!! (I made my niece a big 12×12″ album for a graduation present, but I can see that this smaller size would be perfect for vacations, special occasions where you aren’t trying to insert 400 photos or more!!) Notice anything new??? That’s right- we are coming out with a new handheld stapler- and our new Blendabilities markers can color the staples! Talk about coordination!! Love it, so easy to use!

This one I’m going to use for my Convention x Project Life x Stampin’ Up! Album!

These little journals made an appearance in the new Annual Catalog- they come in a two pack! (They used to be in the Paper Pumpkin “Try it Kit” but they decided to just bring over the journals as they were widely popular)! Brandi Barnard taught us several awesome tricks on how to cut this baby in half to make 2 mini notebooks out of one! So cute! Great for anyone in direct sales who needs to keep a notebook in the car to track mileage! Or for you to take to the doctor’s office to jot down notes so you don’t forget what the doctor says to you! (at least that’s how I’m going to use mine!)

Many of you have been asking if Stampin’ Up! was going to introduce any new tools or products, well I’m happy to say that after the huge success of the Envelope Punch Board, we once again teamed up with an awesome company and are launching the new Gift Box Punch Board when our Holiday Catalog goes live on August 28th!! It comes with directions/dimensions to make at least 15 different size boxes from 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ (used a 6 x 6″ piece of paper for the one I am holding) all the way up to a 12″ x 12″ piece of paper/card stock to make a 4″ x 4″ x 4″ box. I say “at least 15 size boxes” because I’m sure some genius mathematician or engineer has figured out how to make more than square boxes out of this baby. Want to get your hands on this ASAP?? I am taking “Pre-Orders” for the Gift Box Punch Board- it is $19.95 plus tax/shipping/handling which will be $23.71 total. I am going to accept pre-orders and payment for these up to August 25th (checks and cash will be deposited on 8/26 so the payment is in my account by the date I order- August 28th) – if you want to be sure to get your order in before they run out of stock (remember what happened last year when the Envelope Punch Board launched?? Back order status within the first month)- Let me know if you want “IN” on this new tool!! For everyone who pre-orders this Gift Box Punch Board from me, I have a free class on September 18th where I will teach you all the ways to use your new board! If you can’t make the class- you can make arrangments to pick up your punch board and I will email you the PDF tutorial of tips and tricks for using your new tool!

I met these ladies while waiting in line to use the new gift box punch board- they are from Syracuse and Utica, NY! Small world! Hi Marilyn, Jan and Virginia- I hope to stay in touch with you and meet up with you again sometime! You helped the time go by quickly while waiting in line!

I learned an important “tip” from one of the concept artists and an SU employee who has had lots of time to practice with this new tool! Can’t wait to share lots of tips and tricks with you!! Can’t wait to get this in your hands!

I also got to color with some experts on Blendabilities! Learned a lot of tips and tricks for using these new alcohol markers! Have planned my reward class for all those who ordered the Blendabilities Bundle deal through me- will email you all to see if the date works for you, stay tuned!

Also new in the Holiday Catalog is this amazing bundle! The Wonderous Wreath Stamp Set is in Photopolymer (they explained the strategy behind Photopolymer at convention- it is being used for all the two step stamping or when there will be a need to layer. Also, alphabet stamps are all going to be photopolymer from now on too. They made an announcement that they are going to launch each new monthly set on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and they are going to guarantee availability for at least 6 months! That will help me plan classes and event better- twice the set I purchased sold out before I ever got to use it, but now that won’t happen, yippee!

Notice anything else in this photo above? the Wreath stamp set and framelits will have tabs for ease in lining up- no more time wasted trying to line up the framelits with the stamped image, love it!

I am going to turn this into a card, will post when done!

The rest of these cards were given to me by very generous, friendly demonstrators… I ran out of time and never got my swaps done- and when these kind people found out- they gave me their swaps anyway! WOW- I was just blown away- that is so selfless, and I am deeply grateful to Meg, Kristen, Amanda, Joanne, and Amye for sharing with me! Thanks so much guys- it really means a lot to me! I love these cards!

Hi again, Happy Wednesday! Today’s blog post is about all the wonderful “Rock Stars” I met on my little trip to Salt Lake City! No, not Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan or Jason Aldean; but I got to meet some Stampin’ Up! Rock Stars and Inspiring People!! In no particular order (other than when I met them on the trip):

Patty Bennett! She is a top demonstrator from California, I have been following her blog for years! She is so talented, and so is her husband (many of you ask where I got my heat tool stand and my spritzer stand- it is from Patty’s husband Eric!)

It was a thrill to introduce Patty to my downline too!

Meg Loven! Not only was she sweet to talk to, and how cute are her team hats?? (They lit up at night!) but when she asked to swap with me, and I explained how I ran out of time and didn’t bring any swaps with me to SLC 😦 well, she just gave me one of hers! How sweet?!! and here she is with the uber talented Mary Ellen Stites, I’ve followed her “Create with M.E.” on facebook since I became a demonstrator!!

Sydney Douglass! She is Shelli Gardner’s granddaughter, and daughter of Sara and Sean Douglass. I was so impressed to hear her speak at my last Leadership Conference and was delighted to be able to meet her and talk with her at Convention. She is humble, gracious, beautiful, talented and kind.

The funny and amazing Connie Stewart! Dania (my upline) had introduced me to Connie at my first leadership a few years ago, so now I was happy to introduce her to my two downline! Connie is the creator of the “Flashcard” technique that I have used several times in my clubs and my own crafting!

Jake the Distribution Director/Manager! Without his awesomeness, we wouldn’t receive our Stampin’ Up! goodies in such organized boxes! What a warehouse! Jake gave us quite an education when we toured the Home Office!

Tami White! She is super sweet, here she is with her downline from Hawaii to Alaska! Tami is the 4th of five total $1 million achievers!

Janet Wakeland! She started a private Facebook group and allows demonstrators from all levels to join and converse and share ideas! I have learned so much and have been inspired by the sharing of projects, worksheets, tips and tricks by Janet and so many others on her page. We had a nice chat about Facebook, dogs (German Shorthair pointers to be exact), and Paper Pumpkin!!

Amye and I got to take a Master Class (you will LOVE the Watercolor Winter Simply Created Card Kit!!) taught by the amazingly talented Shannon West and after the class we got to chat with Shannon and Andrea Withers, another uber talented SU employee who also did some amazing presentations! Although I doubt they remember me from Leadership, it was a thrill to introduce Amye to them. (Jamie took a different class that night).

Glenda Travelstead!! We ate dinner at the same restaurant one night, actually ran into her on the street walking over to Red Rock, a yummy pub with an amazing menu. Nice visit- talked about the Twilight bond we share 😉

Dawn Bourgette! She was the first Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I started following on Instagram, and she shared many tips and tricks with me along the way! It was so awesome to meet and chat with Dawn!

Pam Morgan! I ran into her in the “Recognition Room”- a special jazzy place I was able to enter since I was celebrating a Milestone (5 year anniversary with SU!) We had a nice long chat about Project Life and I told her how I used it last weekend for my niece’s graduation party- she was so kind and gracious and supportive! thanks Pam!

Lisa Pretto, Brian King and Justin Krieger! This trio is so talented, successful and they were super nice to stop and chat with me! Lisa started a special group on Facebook for demonstrators all over the world called “Ink Big” and she is always so quick to respond to a question or comment! I am planning to take one of her training classes in the near future!

Frenchie!! (Her real name is France Martin, but she is French, and her nickname is Frenchie!) Amye got to swap with her, how cool?!

Lyssa Zwolanek! She is super generous- she has a blog for demonstrators with advice and strategies and she is so kind! It was great to meet her too!

Well, I do have to admit that I was a touch disappointed that we couldn’t meet Shelli or Sara, I really wanted Jamie and Amye to meet them! Sara just had an emergency appendectomy last week and was supposed to “take it easy” and Shelli always had a huge crowd around her anytime I spotted her. Oh well, hopefully next time.

The folks I”ve featured here are so talented, and I thought you would like to see the “Rock Stars” I got to meet!

That’s right- you heard me, I’m planning a trip next summer back to Salt Lake City! Once you’ve experienced the fantastic city, the warm people, the generosity of Stampin’ Up! Company and Staff, you’ll know what I mean! I can’t believe I waited this long to go!! (Don’t get me wrong my two Leadership Trips were fantastic too! and I’m planning to join them in January since the Manager’s Reception is at DISNEY!!) Yup- spending my vacation time for Stampin’ Up! seems to be the right thing for me- at least next year!

So, I wasn’t sure what you’d want to see first. I took over 1,000 photos between my iphone and my Canon Rebel… some of them didn’t come out great, but luckily most of them did! Let me start today’s blog with a post about my wonderful teammates who made my first convention so memorable! The photo at the top of this post was taken by Amye as we left Salt Lake City yesterday- isn’t this amazing?!?! So beautiful there!

Jamie and Amye are two of my downline who were able to make it on this trip with me….Jamie- I love the little “L” photo holder, and Amye I adore the little notebook, thanks for being great travel buddies, roomies and wonderful downline! Thanks for putting up with some of my complaining and grumpiness… going to work on being in better shape for next year!

And here’s hoping next summer we can have even more of the Lynnzcrafters team join us! Mark your calendars ladies- convention 2015 is going to be July 22-25, 2015! You can sign up to join my team anytime- but if you want to join us in Salt Lake City next summer, then you’ll need to be sure you are an “active” demonstrator in April 2015 so you can register to go- if you want to join us- or have questions- let me know!!

Hats off to Val and Barb who not only gifted us with some amazing treats (see below), but they accompanied us to dinner, and showed us the town, so glad we could be spontaneous and venture out together! Thank you ladies!!

The little floral notebook was made by Amye, the Inspire. Create. Share. box of goodies was made by Val and the pouch “Convention Survival Kit” was made by Barb. Notice some of our free stamps and my little Halloween treat bag?? The burlap bags are a sneak peek for the September Paper Pumpkin Kits! (sorry if I spoiled the surprise for anyone- but I know many of you have commented how you would like to know in advance what is coming). There’s another sneak peek in there- see it?? It’s a new stamp set that will be in the Holiday Catalog that goes live to customers on August 28th, (demonstrators can “pre-order” on August 1st and for those of us who went to convention, we could buy select items in the Convention Store! I had one of my checked luggage chuck full of my purchases!

This was Amye waiting in the “S” line, right after Barb and Val found us and gave us our gifts! We were pretty overwhelmed with the size of the place and to see how many demonstrators were all there to check in at the same time we were… after we got our goodies, we went to check out the Paper Pumpkin Fun Night Out Party!

We were amazed at all the goodies we were given when we arrived!

The Paper Pumpkin Night Out was so fun! In addition to getting to make one of the September goodie bags, for all of us who were subscribers we received a free snail with a Paper Pumpkin logo on it, and we enjoyed some yummy desserts and had lots of samples of past kits made up in amazing ways!! At one point I got up – probably to get another brownie 🙂 , when I came back to the table, Amye said my name and a quote were up on the big screen! I was so tickled pink! It was a survey I had filled out last month in the Paper Pumpkin Boot Camp weekly surveys!

And shout out to my Paper Pumpkin Subscribers who signed up before June 30th to help me earn another free stamp set! I wish I had time to call all my customers to personally ask you questions… suffice to say I have to rely on technology (Facebook, email, blog post, newsletters, Twitter and Instagram) most of the time, one of the classes I attended at convention talked about scheduling telephone time- I am going to do it!

The room was packed with thousands of demonstrators, treats and samples!!

These are some of Amye’s swaps- she made 100 and swapped all but 3 (I believe- if I remember correctly). We poured over them and two of her swap cards inspired our Stamp-a-Stack event that occurs on Monday! Registration is now closed. We have 20 ladies coming on the 28th, and it will be lots of fun! We will have specials for that night only, and you will love the 4 cards, I just know it!
