Fiesta Bingo 🌮

Last night was my monthly stamping bingo night. I had to use some new space because my church and other locations were booked. This room is at the Rexford firehouse and boy was it lovely! My helpers who came early…. I could never do these events without you wonderful friends, thank you from the bottom of my heart! this front table is where I sat to be the bingo caller, and had all the prizes on display. I found a lovely Pandora station of mariachi music that we played throughout the evening which was so fun. I found the absolute cutest paper products, mini morocco’s, and this neat goodie bag all on Amazon. It really helped pull the theme together. Everyone was in the fiesta spirit, and we had a super organized sign-up sheet/Google document and everyone contributed to a taco and fajita bar for dinner before we started stamping. We had two kinds of homemade salsa, guacamole, chicken, ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and onions, cheese, sour cream, nacho chips, taco shells (soft and hard), margaritas, some other adult beverages, lemonade, seltzer, and delicious desserts too! Churros, brownies, cinnamon cookies and rosettes (I think that’s what they’re called). All I can say is it was so delicious and I am so thankful from the bottom of my heart for such wonderful coordination, loved everything!

We had a good turn out, these nice long tables made it extra roomy and the lighting was fantastic also!

I have to say the margaritas were delicious and I don’t think anyone left hungry or thirsty that’s for sure.

In order to help increase their chances to win, extra bingo boards were available and our largest jackpot of all went to a brand new person who had never stamped or been to bingo before, congratulations Karen M. 💰

She was the guest of one of our newest Lynnzcrafters, Judi P.

First winner of the night was Jane who was super excited to get the butterfly gala bundle!

And here’s Judi (the newest team member I spoke about) she won our second game of bingo and picked out the new Storage by Stampin’ Up!

Next up was Stephanie who won a lovely bundle with two stamps sets, DSP, blender pens, and sponge brayers.

Alexis was our next bingo winner in game four and she was so thrilled that the Piece of Cake bundle was available!

Game five went to Sheila and she got the soon to retire flowering desert set with two kinds of embossing paste, stencils and utensils.

And the last game of the night went to Kathy- which included a pack of watercolor paper, Brusho crystals, spritzers, and two fabulous stamp sets.

After all the stamping was done and bingo was over these fabulous ladies helped me clean up and I tallied the orders and gave away even more raffle tickets. The grand raffle prize was a brand new big shot machine!

This is Meri, she won the big shot and this was only her second time coming to bingo, congratulations!

I raffled off the cute piñata- which Laurie won- and all those ladies are the ones who stayed to help me clean up. Thank you so much friends! 😘❤️😘

I’d like to give a shout out to my friend Nancy who came over the week before to help me do all the big shot work and prep for this event. And to my wonderful team Lynnzcrafters, especially Kathy who so kindly helped with all the set up and clean up!

It truly takes a village to have an event like this, and I couldn’t do it without them. I am so blessed and thankful to have these wonderful friends and all their support and all of the interest from my friends and customers, thank you for helping bingo be such a fabulous event. I love the positivity, comradeship, and plain old fun!

I do not advertise for bingo because almost every bingo night fills up from the people who attend previously, and I use this night as a kind a VIP monthly event.

I will share the cards we made another night, they were bright and colorful and Mexican inspired.

Thank you so much for reading this post today, I hope you have a wonderful day!

Snow Day! (& Facebook Live Reminder) and Bingo!

Well it certainly was predicted that we would get a lot of snow, in my area we got about 13 inches of snow but as I write this it is now turned to sleet and freezing rain. So glad this big storm hit on a long weekend and I have been hunkered down at home doing lots of crafts. I enrolled in an online creative convention which I have done before but it’s the first time I actually got to sit down and do the projects live, and I played online virtual bingo last night!

©️Stampin’ Up!

This is a photo of a card I made last month and mailed in a card swap I participated in, featuring three new items from our Saleabration catalog. I paired the botanical butterfly DSP and the grapefruit grove foil sheets with the sentiment from Part of My Story new cling stamp set. I shared this card last night in our online group as my #onlinecreativeconvention share. What do you think?

Yesterday was national popcorn day so I had some of this delicious popcorn, bonus it is buy one get one free at Price chopper! It was so fun learning from Erica how to do an online bingo event. I have a very popular monthly stamping bingo night, but I have never played online before and now the wheels and ideas are churning. Would you be interested in playing online bingo with me? Leave me a comment I may consider it if there is enough interest.

Speaking of bingo, Friday night was my live bingo event held up in Burnt Hills. The theme was pajama party and I found adorable plates online that had pajamas and bunny slippers. Everyone who attended got a package of our rhinestone gems as well as a sleep mask, you can see some of the girls had them on as a headband.

You can see most of the winners above but I forgot to take two photos, my friend Patty won the shopping spree and earned $135 to apply to her order that night with me, and my friend Wendy won the grand prize drawing for a brand new Stamparatus and carrying case! Congratulations to all the winners! All of the money that I gathered from registrations for everyone who attended was used for all of the prizes, bundles, giveaways, room rental, and paper products.

We had five projects and played six games of bingo. I tried something new and had one of the girls at each table is a demonstrator on my team and they were in charge of making sure everyone used the new ink pads and cling mount stamps appropriately, They also made sure the stamps were taken off the blocks before we rotated as one of the new aspects of our cleaning mount stamps is that they can’t stay on the black for very long or they stick they also made sure the stamps were taken off the blocks before we rotated as one of the new aspects of our cling mount stamps is that they can’t stay on the block for very long or they stick.

And I have to give a huge shout out to several people: first of all my deep thanks to Nancy and Laurie who came over and help me prep on Wednesday night. And huge thanks and kudos to several people: Laurie and Kathy who came early to help me set up, Wendy, Laurie, Sheila, Kathy, and MaryBeth for running the tables for me and also with Brigid, they all helped with cleanup too.

This bingo event takes approximately 15–20 hours to plan, prep, and hold the event. It is a lot of work but I do it because my friends love it so much and asked me to do this every month. I am humbled and blessed because of all their support …. bonus- this event is really what has helped me turn my business around and help me achieve the Stampin Up incentive trips. I am currently working hard to earn the Maui trip in the summer of 2020. Thank you for all of you who have joined my team and/or attended a class/club/event or ordered from me it is all helping and I am deeply grateful for you all!

©️Stampin’ Up

These were the five projects that we made at bingo, the Valentine’s Day card was easily switched up if they use the reverse side of the DSP and change the greeting it was a card that said Wishing you a lovely day.

Well I have one more announcement I would like to share with you: today at noon (EST) Sunday, January 20, I will be having my first Facebook live event on my Lynnzcrafters Facebook page. I sure would love to have you hop on and join us, I am doing some giveaways and will be doing a Stampin’ Up! Inspiration and going over some tips. I am hoping the live event will be between 30–45 minutes. This will be a test to see if people like a live event and I may be able to do this every week. Let me know what you think.

I hope you all have a safe day and stay warm and cozy inside! I’m thankful that all my family is off today and no one has to drive on these roads. We have a state of emergency right now and nonessential staff are not allowed to be out driving, hopefully later today my dear old dad will be able to come plow my driveway. 🙏🏻

Thanks so much for choosing me as your demonstrator, I appreciate YOU!

Bingo Fun and Give-Away!

Hi everyone, how are you? I was teased last night at my monthly bingo night that I never post the pictures of this fun event. So I wanted to create a post for you to show you the projects that we made, and the prizes that were given away. Stampin’ bingo is a super fun event!

There is a lot of time, preparation, and set up that goes into my monthly bingo event. In order to fit 14 ladies comfortably I put one table in my living room and the rest fit at my dining room table. I sit in the archway between the two rooms as I call out the bingo.

My customers really enjoy this fun night out, and typically fill up the next month’s Bingo as I give them first dibs on the seats for the next month.

Here are the prizes that I purchased with their $20 registration fee that is paid in advance:

There are seven bundles valued between $30 – $40 sometimes one is even a little bit above that. We play six games of bingo and the winner of each round picks one of the prizes. Then the seventh bundle is for the raffle tickets, they earn a raffle ticket for attending, bringing a snack/beverage to share, placing an order with me that night, booking their own party/class, and if there is a bingo tie, the person who did not win the bingo/off as well as anyone who wins another game of bingo then they receive extra raffle tickets. Last night we had three games were there were ties so we had to have a playoff/bingo off. And we also had two duplicate winners. Hope that makes sense.

Here are the make and take projects that we did last night. I was so excited to show them these adorable little copper tea tins in the whole teatime suite.

The three little note cards also included the extra DSP, so everyone got six swatches of this beautiful paper. It may be hard to see but I also use the copper stickers and the colorful paper stickers from the memories and more collection. I also included three organic green tea bags. This is a perfect little gift or inspiration piece for your craft room.

One of the cards I featured was a slight case from one of our make and takes at Onstage. I wanted to feature the stained glass Vellum and the new blends. Unfortunately the new colors are not available yet but I was lucky to get pineapple punch and lovely lipstick Onstage. I took pictures of the ladies’ cards when they were finished, as everyone used different color schemes and there were two different square patterns in the pack … and as you can see no two cards are alike. Great job everyone!

Here are the winners of the six games of bingo. And the last bundle was drawn at the end of the night and this artistic expressions bundle is going out to Susan B. (Nancy said she is going to be in touch with you about getting this to you so you will have your prize.)

I forgot to take pictures of the food table, but once again these ladies did an amazing job of bringing some yummy snacks, a sign up in advance so that we don’t have duplicates. We had a veggie tray, fresh fruit, hummus and pita, cookies, delicious veggie pizza, amazing lemon blueberry cake, nuts, chips and salsa, chips and dip, popcorn, cheese and crackers, beer and wine. It was a smorgasbord.

I am so very thankful that these ladies love my monthly bingo event, thank you so much for your support!

Don’t forget that I am doing a comment contest, for everyone who leave me a comment on one of my blog post this month will be entered in a drawing to win this great little bundle of goodies. The gold ribbon and the metallic doilies are now retired. But the mini notecards are a new size in our catalog that you will enjoy. Just leave me a comment and be sure to include the hashtag #lynnzcrafters

Thank you so much for reading this post today I hope you have a wonderful day!

We Create Blog Hop October 2016

WCBH2016

Hello there crafty friends,

October 1st sure rolled around pretty quickly and snuck up on me. Today’s offering is a quick post, the format for this hop is usually one project and then a “stepped up” version of the same project. Forgive me, but with everything going on with my family- I decided to share with you my four Make-and-Take projects for my Stampin’ Up! Bingo night last night. I hope you like these offerings, and don’t mind that I didn’t stick to the formula this month. (Sometimes priorities conflict with my time to craft and blog).

So here you go:

It was s “Fall Theme” bingo night.

Basket of Wishes is a fun set to watercolor, and doesn’t it just pop on the shimmer white paper?

Cookie-cutter Halloween is one of my favorite stamp sets in this holiday catalog.

I pulled out the vintage leaves stamps at and matching framelits-it’s a great card for the fall, don’t you think?

I have to admit that I finished these cards on our retreat last weekend and I had some inspiration from another demonstrator -thanks to Debbie Henderson for the awesome inspiration! I love her work and style, and just tweaked two of her cards to fit into my plans for my bingo night.

Also, since today is October 1st, and the Official Celebration of “World Card Making Day”- Stampin’ Up! is kicking off this event with some specials:

next blog hop

Thank you all for visiting my blog today, thank you for your kind words and prayers for my family, we’ve certainly been challenged these past two months… we appreciate all the love and prayers.

The fundraiser that I started for my dear sister-in-law, Kathy Streifert, has just reached the half-way point. Kathy has had a 22 year battle with Crohn’s disease, and is out of work indefinitely. As a waitress in a local restaurant with no sick days, or paid time off, and astronomical hospital bills and deductibles, I started the “Go Fund Me” campaign. You can read about it, and/or donate here, thank you!

Bingo fun!

Hi there Stamping friends!! Happy Saturday!! I want to share with you my first ever BINGO event that was last night. What a great group of friends gathered together on a cold Friday night stamping and playing Bingo!!  I know everyone had a good time, and many thanks to everyone who attended, ordered, and who brought snacks!! Here’s some pictures of our fun night:

Here was the hutch of prizes! The bottom shelf contained six prize bundles- all brand new products- over $225 of prizes (purchased with the registration fees from 12 people who pre-paid to come to the Bingo event).

Here is a close-up of the first prize bundle featuring our new birthday mini party punch pack,  confetti texture folder and new assorted card stock.

Prize bundle two: the new love blossoms 6″ x 6″ paper stack, pearls, and Love Blossoms embellishments kit. Gorgeous!

Prize bundle three: the new balloon Bouquet punch, with balloon celebration stamp set, and a package of note cards!

img_0310

Prize bundle four contained our new precision base plate (for the bigshot) and our new big shot die brush, with a pack of pearls. ** I highly recommend this duo for any of our intricate dies like the rose garden thinlits dies, the Bloomin’ heart die, or our butterfly framelits!!

My fifth prize bundle featured the Bloomin’ love stamp set and Bloomin’ heart thinlits die bundle with a roll of our new blushing bride sequined trim!
img_0313

Last, but not least, was the amazing new rose garden bundle with the rose wonder stamp set, and rose garden thinlits dies, with the gorgeous new Wink of Stella glitter brush in clear, my new favorite!

The prizes were AMAZING- all new products- and I think were a highlight of the evening!

Now here’s a look at how I set up my home for the event, moved some furniture and items around to fit 12 stampers comfortably:

We used buttons as our bingo chips! Everyone got to pick a roll of ribbon as a thank you gift for attending.

Laurie won the first prize bundle on our number bingo game!

img_0336

Marilyn won the second game of bingo!

img_0337

Kathy won the third game of number Bingo!

Tiffany won the fourth game- but we switched to “Stampin’ Up! Color Bingo- it was a game I made on a website where you could enter the information and it generated Bingo cards. (I admit, it was hard to find all those words!)

Laurie lucked out and won the 5th game of Stampin’ Up! Bingo!

And Patty won the 6th and final game of the night! Congratulations to everyone who won the Bingo games!

I forgot to take pictures of two other prizes- one was the Project Life bundle (album, card collection, refill pages, plus some ribbon, candy dots and mini bow clips)- this prize was won by Laurie also! (raffle tickets were given out for: bringing a snack, placing an order, and registering for future classes). Then, the last prize was a Stampin’ Up! gift certificate for all the extra bingo boards ($5 each). So 11 additional Bingo Boards were purchased, so the winner received a $55 Stampin’ Up! gift certificate- and unbelievably, Laurie won that as well! That’s right, if you’re counting- she won four of the eight prizes! (better go buy a lottery ticket Laurie!) Lucky indeed!

img_0315

Last weekend when we reorganized my craft room, I realized that I had far too many little tchotchkes, so I dusted them off and decided to let the ladies pick one as an additional door prize for attending! So happy to see these go to a good home! Enjoy!

If my dining room was bigger, we would have all been in the same room, but it’s not, so I had to set up my living room as well.

img_0326

Here are the four cards we made- I decided to keep them quick and simple, as I didn’t want people to have to get up/down and wanted a “stress free”, fun and quick stamping… wasn’t sure how long 6 games of Bingo would take. I think it worked out pretty well.  For those of you who attended, I would love to hear from you- what did you like, or not?? Feedback is so important to me, I want to continue offering FUN events!!
img_0344

This beautiful scarf was on the floor of my coat closet- I found it this morning when I was putting my coats back in the closet. Let me know if it is yours. (It looks handmade- gorgeous!)

Whew, what a fun and busy night! We enjoyed yummy nacho dip, spicy delicious hummus and chips, mini smokies in bbq sauce, blackberry mustard dip and pretzels, butter pecan scotchies (homemade cookies), red velvet cake dip and cookies, veggies and dip, candy and chex mix! Perfect snacks for a fun night!

Well, does this look like fun to you?? If so, I’m planning another Bingo night in March- contact me for more details!

I’d love to hear from you- leave a comment, or ask a question, I treasure your comments!

Don’t forget if you’d like to place an order this weekend, please use Hostess Code PUPGYZ7Q I’m placing the order Sunday (tomorrow) 1/31 at 6 pm.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a super Saturday!!

Thank you to all who came out to shop and visit me! I really appreciate your support! I did very well, made some great new contacts, and of course shopped amongst some awesome vendors as well!

There was a young lady at my booth taking lots of pictures with an awesome camera, at first I thought she was a teenager doing something for the firehouse, but after chatting with her, I learned she works for the Daily Gazette and is doing a piece for their weekly online edition for Clifton Park. I’m going to try to find it and see what she posts- if any of you see it, please let me know!

In other news- there are only 3 days of Sale-a-bration left! Did you get all the great exclusive products you wanted?
