Bingo Fun and Give-Away!

Hi everyone, how are you? I was teased last night at my monthly bingo night that I never post the pictures of this fun event. So I wanted to create a post for you to show you the projects that we made, and the prizes that were given away. Stampin’ bingo is a super fun event!

There is a lot of time, preparation, and set up that goes into my monthly bingo event. In order to fit 14 ladies comfortably I put one table in my living room and the rest fit at my dining room table. I sit in the archway between the two rooms as I call out the bingo.

My customers really enjoy this fun night out, and typically fill up the next month’s Bingo as I give them first dibs on the seats for the next month.

Here are the prizes that I purchased with their $20 registration fee that is paid in advance:

There are seven bundles valued between $30 – $40 sometimes one is even a little bit above that. We play six games of bingo and the winner of each round picks one of the prizes. Then the seventh bundle is for the raffle tickets, they earn a raffle ticket for attending, bringing a snack/beverage to share, placing an order with me that night, booking their own party/class, and if there is a bingo tie, the person who did not win the bingo/off as well as anyone who wins another game of bingo then they receive extra raffle tickets. Last night we had three games were there were ties so we had to have a playoff/bingo off. And we also had two duplicate winners. Hope that makes sense.

Here are the make and take projects that we did last night. I was so excited to show them these adorable little copper tea tins in the whole teatime suite.

The three little note cards also included the extra DSP, so everyone got six swatches of this beautiful paper. It may be hard to see but I also use the copper stickers and the colorful paper stickers from the memories and more collection. I also included three organic green tea bags. This is a perfect little gift or inspiration piece for your craft room.

One of the cards I featured was a slight case from one of our make and takes at Onstage. I wanted to feature the stained glass Vellum and the new blends. Unfortunately the new colors are not available yet but I was lucky to get pineapple punch and lovely lipstick Onstage. I took pictures of the ladies’ cards when they were finished, as everyone used different color schemes and there were two different square patterns in the pack … and as you can see no two cards are alike. Great job everyone!

Here are the winners of the six games of bingo. And the last bundle was drawn at the end of the night and this artistic expressions bundle is going out to Susan B. (Nancy said she is going to be in touch with you about getting this to you so you will have your prize.)

I forgot to take pictures of the food table, but once again these ladies did an amazing job of bringing some yummy snacks, a sign up in advance so that we don’t have duplicates. We had a veggie tray, fresh fruit, hummus and pita, cookies, delicious veggie pizza, amazing lemon blueberry cake, nuts, chips and salsa, chips and dip, popcorn, cheese and crackers, beer and wine. It was a smorgasbord.

I am so very thankful that these ladies love my monthly bingo event, thank you so much for your support!

Don’t forget that I am doing a comment contest, for everyone who leave me a comment on one of my blog post this month will be entered in a drawing to win this great little bundle of goodies. The gold ribbon and the metallic doilies are now retired. But the mini notecards are a new size in our catalog that you will enjoy. Just leave me a comment and be sure to include the hashtag #lynnzcrafters

Thank you so much for reading this post today I hope you have a wonderful day!

This was my Paper Pumpkin Subscribers Thank You Night of Fun! I used all new 2014-16 In Colors as my base card stock and inks, plus the new Moonlight DSP mini paper pack, for easy peasy card making! Who doesn’t need a bunch of little gift cards?? I think everyone liked the idea- we used ALL my Paper Pumpkin stamps for all the cards, and broke out the new “And Many More” for a nice small “Congratulations” sentiment.

Of course- what kind of party is it without a little snack?? This was totally easy, patriotic, and yummy! A little sponge cake with whipped cream and berries! Since the June Paper Pumpkin kit was the pinwheel kit, I made some up as favors and decorations- did you know that Paper Pumpkin subscribers can order refills of this cute kit?? So fun and easy!

One of the things I love most about stamping get togethers (besides the fun and friendships) is the creativity! Look at these amazing cards the ladies came up with!! My philosophy when I have an event is “Here’s my sample, feel free to copy it or make this YOUR own creation”, I think my customers like this philosophy and it opens up many opportunities for them to make cards that they need and will use.

Well, if you’d like to be invited to the next Paper Pumpkin Party- be sure you either subscribe on the http://www.mypaperpumpkin.com website and select me as your demonstrator, OR feel free to go to my Online Store at: http://LynnStreifert.Stampinup.net and click “Shop” and you can order a prepaid subscription for either 1, 3, 6, or 12 months!! Use Hostess Code: NTQYK6UV and remember to sign up by August 10th at midnight. That’s it- if you are an active subscriber and show up in my list of customers, then you’ll get your invite to the next party!!

Well, that’s it for today! Hope you have an awesome day, and remember- I would LOVE to read your comments! It makes my day to hear from you!!

Happy stamping!

Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags

Well hello there friends! I sure have missed blogging and sharing Stampin’ Up! with all of you wonderful readers! Last weekend was a fun Girl Scout weekend- we took our troop to the Boston Museum of Science for an overnight trip. What an awesome program and great time we all had. I have been going non-stop ever since with functions/meetings every night… there just aren’t enough hours in the day.

I wanted to share something with you that you might not have noticed in the new Occasions mini catalog, our awesome Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags, look at how versatile they are:

I won a pack of these journaling cards at our January Inketts meeting and loved these ideas from the wonderful concept artists at Stampin’ Up! Here are a few projects to give you some ideas for all that you can do with these awesome cards! Thanks Arika B. for your inspiration!

For this birthday card just cut out the happy birthday from the 3″ x 4″ card. For the card base you add a watercolor wash to the background and some splattering. This is so simple and quick to make and I love how it turned out. QUICK TIP: Did you know that the Shimmery White 8-1/2″ x 11″ Cardstock is perfect for watercoloring? Going on my next order, let me know if you want some too.

Look at this fun confetti pocket on this card using a Window Sheet and the Retro Fresh This and That Designer Washi Tape. I love that washi tape! (Still using mine from Diva Day).

For the confetti use our awesome Fringe Scissors to cut the cardstock horizontally and vertically. It is such a quick way to get a ton of confetti. I’m just sorry to say that the fringe scissors are on backorder until the end of the month. Drats.

For this congratulations gift bag, just cut the 3″ x 3″ card using the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and add some flags to the bottom using Crushed Curry Cardstock. Then run a stripe of washi tape along the top of the bag. Simple as that . . . so quick and easy!

Tonight was our monthly get together at my wonderful upline’s house, the amazing Dania Welch! She had the idea for us to make some miniature card bases 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch square base…. I will be showing you mine and how I put all 9 together tomorrow.

The three projects we did tonight were prepared by some wonderful ladies. This adorable box above was designed by Anne Kennedy.

This darling little mosaic card was designed by Deb Kolberg.

And these 3 sweet little 3×3 cards were designed by Noelle Mann.

I had so much fun stamping with some terrific ladies tonight.
That’s all for now, sweet dreams!
