Hi Friends!
Last week I had my friend Annie over (with a friend) as she wanted to make some crafts for Christmas gifts for her family and friends. You see, Annie’s mom (Karalee) sadly died back in March and I wanted to do something special in her memory. A couple hours after they arrived, my niece and nephew came over to make their Christmas gifts for the family as well. It was so heart-warming to have these young people over making hand-made gifts. I know I will forever treasure mine, and I’m sure all the recipients will as well.
I showed Annie my most recent Paper Pumpkin kit, from this month. I offered a kit to her and she asked if she could do embossing instead of “plain stamping”… it’s so funny, I think I showed her how to emboss about 8 or 9 years ago, and it is still her favorite stamping technique. Well, here is Annie’s 2019-20 calendar. We found it amazing that this 18 month calendar ends in June 2020, which is when Annie will graduate from High School! Shout out to my friend Diana Gibbs for the idea of using this stand up frame to showcase this super cute calendar! Love it! Here is a link to her original post: https://www.stampingwithdi.com/2018/12/2019-paper-pumpkin-calendar.html

The colors may be hard to see, but she heat embossed the January page with silver snowflakes from Alpine Adventure stamp set (item #147742) and the “2019” numbers came from the Labeler Alphabet Photopolymer stamp set (item #141936 from the Annual Catalog).

the little circle stamp came with the Paper Pumpkin kit, and then Annie added the Happy Valentine’s and small hearts from a new stamp set that is in the new Occasions Catalog that launches on January 3rd called “Meant to Be” (bonus it is a bundle with matching hearts and stitched hearts framelits/dies!!)

For the month of March, she embossed in gumball green (a retired embossing powder I had in my stash) using a soon to be released new stamp set called “Amazing Life” on page 28 in the 2019 Occasions catalog.

Annie loved this phrase from the new cling mount stamp set “Beauty Abounds” on page 13 of the 2019 Occasions Catalog, this is a lovely bundle with amazing butterfly and floral images and dies! (yes- it’s a bundle- must have on your wish list for sure!!) She used Gold embossing powder on this month.

Here is one of the beautiful butterfly images from Beauty Abounds as well, embossed with retired pool party embossing powder.

For the month of June, Bike Ride Photopolymer Stamp Set item #143716 was used and embossed in Gold embossing powder.

July and August were stamped with some summer fun images from a now retired stamp set and retired tangerine tango and crushed curry embossing powder.

Annie stamped the apple outline stamp from Bike Ride and heat embossed with basic black embossing powder, then colored in the apples with Real Red and Shaded Spruce Alcohol markers- Blends!

For October, she used the same basic black embossing powder and colored in the pumpkin image from Seasonal Chums Clear-Mount Stamp Set item #144948 and used pumpkin pie and shaded spruce blends.

These cute gold leaves were embossed from the Bike Ride stamp set.

Annie used the Rudolf and Merry Christmas stamps from Seasonal Chums and embossed in basic black, colored in with blends.

For 2020, the January-May months were the same theme/colors as 2019, but for June 2020, Annie used some of my long-retired (Stampin’ Up!) graduation stamps.

Didn’t she do an amazing job? I was so proud of her, and I’m sure her friend will treasure this gift.
