Hi Friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I must admit, I am still tired from cooking, cleaning, playing in the snow with the kids, and having the family over yesterday. But I love the good food, family togetherness and memories we make. My poor niece couldn’t eat anything more than some Bob Evans mac and cheese and applesauce, 8 days out from her tonsils/adenoids surgery and she is still hurting, poor baby. And my sister’s first outing since her surgery 9 days ago, hard to get comfortable… BUT we gave thanks and praise for their successful surgeries and now pray for their continued healing.

I wanted to remind you that I am going to be at a HUGE Craft/Vendor Fair this Sunday November 30th at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs… we are open 11 am to 2 pm and there are goodie bags for the first 50 people through the doors. Today’s card is my second November club card.

This card features a brand new stamp set from our 2014 Holiday Supplement called Many Merry Stars. I was surfing the web and saw a card by Rachel Legge and knew I had to make it with my club ladies. This card actually has a little surprise, do you know what it is?

It’s not just a card, it’s also an ornament! I love this idea, thanks Rachel! I would love to hear from you, what do you think about this card? This card should mail well in a regular envelope.

 Yesterday morning I posted my first club card and the club ladies changed it up a bit. Everyone liked the other side of the paper better, and here is one version of that card sketch, this one is made by Amye:

 I didn’t take pictures of all the creations, each one was a little different, and the addition of the real red glimmer paper gives it just that extra sparkle this card needs. Don’t you think?

October Club Projects…

Good morning friends, how are you? I have missed blogging, it has been a very busy week and I was knocked down a couple days with a virus, all I could accomplish was resting on the couch and watched some shows on my DVR…. Cedar Cove, Parenthood, and Big Bang, all caught up. Good thing I was so productive last weekend getting ready for club and my 6th Annual Columbus Day Stamp-a-Stack. Want to see some projects?  Let me know which one is your favorite, I love to hear from YOU!

First up is a card that I cased (copy and share everything) – the minute I saw this punch art turkey, I knew I had to case it. Thanks to Aly S. for the inspiration! Love this card, and the sentiment from “Mingle all the way” fits perfectly, right?? If you’re not in my club, and would like one of these cards, I am taking orders, and can mail them to you (or deliver if local) in plenty of time for Thanksgiving. Also, can do custom Halloween cards too, it’s not too late. $3.50 if mailing or $3 each for local customers. Let me know what you think. thanks.

Next up is a stamp set I have used a few times, but I can’t get enough of the cardinal, so I changed this one up, featured these framelits before I knew they were a “weekly deal”- would you like to save money? As you can see I lounged in my pj’s most of the day (only when I started having hot flashes did I take off the flannel pj’s for capris.

This was my other Make and Take project- a fall framed art piece- love those little wooden cutouts!

 

We had a beautiful weekend and I can’t wait to go back. My friend who owns the cottage, also named Wendy, is generously letting us come back up in April! YIPPEEE!!! I can’t wait to plan that weekend of fun! Everyone took a meal and brought up some fun snacks too. I feel so blessed that these awesome women are on my team! We missed our stamping sisters who couldn’t join us, but we were thinking of you and all your family activities, hoping that all went well for you!

I wanted to show you some swaps I received recently, this was organized by a fellow demonstrator out in the Midwest, and wowza, it sure is awesome to get 24 cards made from some very talented demonstrators!

This card was made by Carolyn DelGrosso, and I just love her use of the Flower Patch and Bravo new photopolymer sets together- they really are fun stamp sets and I know I’ll be casing this card for sure!

 

I also want to share with you a card I made yesterday for my niece Jordan, she heads off to college today. I had a family dinner last night and we really enjoyed eating yummy Mexican food and hanging out.

My nephew even got into the Project Life by Stampin’ Up! cards that I had on my coffee table (I haven’t finished Jordan’s album yet- but I hope to finish it this week and will get it up to her). Ethan is 7 years old and loves making “bubble letters” it sure is fun to watch him create. Then he found the washi tape, and I asked him to make me a card, what to you think? pretty cute, huh?

I didn’t even cringe when he used a ton of washi tape to decorate the card he made for me, I’ll treasure it!!

I wanted to first thank everyone who came out Friday night for my First Project Life Open House night!

It was a great success- thanks to all of YOU!

There was wine, yummy snacks, and everyone got to touch and play with ALL the Project Life card sets!

Everyone made a page to take home and I’m so excited to have been able to show how quick and simple this new way of scrapbooking really is!

Then, the next morning I took my niece to Karizma Hair Salon so she could get a cut and color before heading off to college next week, and I remembered that they had this little bistro table outside, so I sat and continued working on her album while she was inside. It was great “multi-tasking” if you ask me, I got all 126 photos from her graduation party all “corner rounded” and organized and matched with the cards people wrote on at her party. I just need to add a few more finishing touches, will be taking more photos when it is all done for sure.
