2014-15 Annual Catalog, 2015 Occasion and SAB, 2015-16 Annual Catalog, card making, Lynnzcrafters, Punch art, Ribbon Shares, rubber stamping, Stampin Up, Weekly Deals!

Oh Happy Day!!!

cattyMany of us Stampin’ Up! Fans have been eagerly awaiting this day- June 2nd- the day the new catalog launches and the old 2014-15 Annual Catalog and 2015 Occasions Catalog are all available at the same time! This is the LAST day to get retiring items, but you can mix your order with new as well.

My favorite set in the new catalog is The Sprinkles of Life in fact- in my ten years of using Stampin’ Up! products, I can say it is truly my ALL time favorite Ronald McDonald House Charities® stamp set.  Ronald McDonald House Charities® keeps families together while children are receiving medical treatment far from home. When you purchase the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set, Stampin’ Up! donates $3 to the RMHC. To date Stampin’ Up! has donated over $1,000,000. to the RHMC. If you are wondering where to find it in the new catalog- it is on the inside back cover- the very last item in the catalog.

This set has a awesome coordinating, Tree Builder Punch, to cut down on fussy cutting. There is so much you can do with this stamp set and punch.

I have been having a lot of fun playing with this stamp set for the past few weeks, we were able to pre-order this last month. I am doing a Make and Take tomorrow night at a demonstrator get-together at my upline’s house, and I made my swaps and 3 other samples to showcase the versatility of this stamp and punch! Let me know what you think:

This first card is going to be our Make-and-Take.

Swaps- I wanted chocolate cupcakes, but they just didn’t look “done” to me… so I started playing.

sprinkles5

Crystal Effects to the rescue- what do you think of this wet frosting look?

sprinkles4

And the little cherry on top is actually from the cupcake builder punch.

This is a card I made to showcase the clouds and raindrops (case from Pinterest)

Another cupcake version.

Last but not least- this is my swap card I made for a demonstrator group I participated in by mail. Over the coming days, I will show the other awesome 19 swaps I received.

Does this look like fun, want to give Stampin’ Up! a try? Well, starting today, we are sweetening up the pot so to speak-

Tuesday Updates

Hi there Stamping Friends!

Have you missed me? Sorry I haven’t been blogging that much, since my diabetes crisis last month I am taking time to exercise and eat healthy everyday… boy does that take much more time than I thought. I was attempting to walk in the woods near me, but too buggy/muddy and I didn’t want to ruin my new sneakers. I joined Planet Fitness and enjoy going there, but sometimes I just want to think and not be surrounded by all that noise. This is a new favorite walking spot- outdoor track at a local high school, love it!

Thanks for all your good wishes- this new life style, combined with Plexus nutritional products, have really helped me more than I thought possible. (let me know if you want to know more about Plexus).

Onto some timely news about Stampin’ Up!:

We are in our final week of the 2014-15 Annual Catalog and final week of the 2015 Occasions Catalog… time sure does fly, doesn’t it? Some people have said they are confused about the dates of the catalogs… Stampin’ Up! is trying something new this year. For one day only- next Tuesday June 2nd- you can order from ALL THREE CATALOGS! This is a big deal in case you are trying to get your last chance retiring items, or want to save some pennies (slight price increase in the new catalog), or you have a big order and want to earn under the old hostess rewards (as of June 3rd, the new rewards take effect). So this is a busy transition day, and the first chance you will have to order from the new 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.

Also- I want to remind you of the half off deal for new Paper Pumpkin subscribers! That’s right, subscribe by June 10th (midnight Mountain time) and you will only pay $10 for June and July’s awesome craft kits in the mail! bogo sale

Last but not least- I want to remind you of our HUGE BOGO SALE- We are up to 7 members of my team selling our retired Stampin’ Up! and other Craft Supplies to YOU! The way our BOGO works may be different from others- here’s how we do it: Come to the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church (816 Route 50, Burnt Hills, NY 12027 across from Gil’s Garage) on Saturday June 6th from 9:30 am to 1 pm. You will shop around the room from all of our tables full of retired goodies. Go to the check out table, we will give you the total of “FREE” NEW catalog products you get to pick out- you will go to the catalog table and will get to pick out anything you want equal to what you just picked out of the retirement sale- that’s truly a Buy One Get One Free deal that’s too good to pass up!! Then we add tax and shipping to the total of new products you picked out, and you pay us- cash customers will get to pick out from a free box (while supplies last), we also accept local checks, and credit cards. You can have your items shipped directly to you for an extra $6.95 (or 10%, depending on your total). You take home the retired goodies, and we will order and deliver the new items once they come in (around June 16-19th depending on UPS shipping time from Utah). We are so excited and hope you are too!!

Creative Inkling Blog Hop- Favorite Retiring Stamp Set

creative hop

Hi There Stamping Friends,

Our blog hop theme this month is “Favorite Retiring Stamp Set”… well, I couldn’t pick just one to show you here today, in fact since I planned our stamp camp last Saturday around this very topic, I thought I would share all 5 of our cards. We called it “Last Chance Stamp Camp” and had a wonderful turnout of stamping friends!

Here are the cards that we made:

First up was a card I designed to use for my own Father’s Day card this year:

retired5

This card features the retiring stamp set “Walk in the Wild” and I paired it with the retiring modern label punch as well. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Next card we featured was a card appropriate for a graduation or we had an alternative card for a simple congratulations:

retired9

retired7

The “Way to Go” stamp is in the set called Bravo, and it is not retiring (the Bravo set is carrying over to the next catalog). The class of 2015 is retiring, last chance to get it is June 2nd!

retired4

Sadly, Petal Potpourri is also retiring, June 2nd will be your last chance to get this gorgeous set! It has a coordinating punch called “Flower Medallion Punch” (the punch is returning in the new catalog because it coordinates with one of the flowers in the stamp set “Crazy for You” which is also carrying over.) The beautiful Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper has been one of my favorites, and I’m using it for my Stamp-and-Sip event on May 29th (I have only 2 spots left).

This card is the one I used to advertise the event, and I think everyone said it was one of their favorites:

retired6

This was a card I was inspired by Pinterest, but I couldn’t find the original creator… The set “By the Seashore” is retiring and I realized I had never used this set in a class at all. I also used Wetlands (the gulls) and Sassy Salutations (these two sets are continuing into the next catalog). No one complained about fussy cutting all the seashells out. fun, fun!

Last but not least, I also realized I had never featured in a class a stamp set that was part of a bundle called “Adventure Awaits” that was paired with the awesome mini stack of designer series paper called Adventure Bound. The stamps spoke to me, and I had to have them, and originally planned to use them for Father’s Day cards. This card was a case (Copy and Share Everything) by Mary Fish. I had two unopened packs of the Maritime designer series paper. ** Bonus- this DSP is on sale until Monday 5/25 in our “Weekly Deals”… get it for 25% off retail price! Awesome-sauce!!

retired3

So this was the full line up, I also had my downline make these cards at our team get together last week. I find it helps if they’ve made the cards, and then they can pick the card table they want to run at Stamp Camp…. and I’m so blessed that four of my downline were able to come and help run a table at the stamp camp, (shout out to Judy, Sharon, Audrey and Laurie)! Many thanks ladies!!

retired1

So if you’re interested in purchasing any of these retired items, they retire on June 2nd, but I wouldn’t wait to the last day… if I were you 😉

Also, don’t forget to mark your calendars for our next BOGO sale- Saturday June 6th in Burnt Hills, NY, hope you can make it!

Last Chance Stamp Camp! (and our next BOGO)

Hi there Stamping Friends!

Just a quick post to let you know we are furiously planning two more big events for you- and please help us spread the word to all your friends and family, the more the merrier!

First up: Saturday May 16th from 9:30 am to Noon (we have the room until 1 pm, but plan to be there by 11 am at the latest so you have time to make your five cards) at the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church we are having a Last Chance Stamp Camp! This event will feature 5 cards with stamp sets that are retiring (all new cards of course- never a repeat with us!) Here’s our plan for the 5 cards:

  • Congratulations (appropriate for Graduation or just “Good job” to someone)
  • Father’s Day (or appropriate for a male birthday/thinking of you/thank you)
  • 3 All Occasion Cards that you can customize with any sentiments/greetings you’d like!

cards last chance

The early bird deadline for $10 registration was supposed to be today, but I’m feeling generous and will extend that to Monday May 4th, then if you register between May 5-9th, and if there is still space available- then registration fee is $15 per person. (Registration means signing up and paying).

*Due to the vigorous amount of time to cut, score, and bundle all the “parts” to make these cards, we need to adhere to the deadline. Thanks for understanding!!

Next up: Lynnzcrafters Team BOGO Sale/New Catalog Kick Off Party: Saturday June 6th from 9 am to 1 pm  at the Burnt Hills United Methodist Church  My team and I are happy to be bringing you another fun sale of our retired Stampin’ Up! products (and some other arts and crafts supplies too!)  It will be similar to the sale we did in March… but this time there is no card making station as we’ll have more items for sale so we need the room for sale items! Also, this time for every dollar you spend on our sale items, you will then get to spend on brand new products in the new 2015-16 Annual Catalog (plus shipping and handling). *local delivery or ship to your home for a minimum shipping fee.   Free catalog with minimum purchase that day!

Thanks for stopping by today, happy Friday!

New Clearance Rack items and Retired List

header_retired2015_email_April2115_ENG-1

Hi Friends- did you have a chance to mark up your catalog yet? I haven’t finished either, but wow- there are dozens of great stamps that are retiring that are some favorites of mine. Although the retired list came out Tuesday and there was a mad rush and lots of computer/server issues, and many in-colors and accessories sold out, there are still lots of stamps and even more items added to the clearance rack!  So while we’re saying goodbye to retiring products from the 2014-2015 annual catalog, before we do, we’re giving everyone an opportunity to order their favorites with discounts up to 50 percent off retail. Retiring products will only be available until June 2, or while supplies last, so now’s a great time to get them before they’re gone!

*Note: Due to high demand for retiring stamps, we’ll keep producing retiring stamps until May 26 (not accessories-accessories are only while supplies last).

Here is the updated list (Stampin’ Up! updates the list every weekday at 4 pm): (the “x” in the last column means that item is sold out)

Click to access US_retiredList_ENG.pdf

Head to my online store to see all the new Clearance Rack items, you can really save a lot with these awesome items!

So how do you order? Many ways-

  1. SHOP: http://LynnStreifert.stampinup.net   For those of you who want to jump right on this list and ensure your order goes through, go to my online store and shop, use hostess code SNGCRCUA and all those who shop my online store this month will be entered to win some of the free hostess rewards (I will contact you if you are the winner so you can select your prizes).
  2. CONTACT ME: Email, text, call or private Facebook Message me, and I will do my best to get your items ordered for you as soon as I have a couple orders to put in… (but remember I have a full time job so I’ll be unavailable most of the day today). (*friends, I need to be honest with you- in years past some things have sold out by the time I’ve arrived home at the end of my work day).

Everyone spending at least $50 will receive a FREE tutorial from me and a new hand-stamped (blank) card as my thanks (I will email the tutorial and will snail mail the card to you, so please do NOT click the “no contact” box, or I won’t know it’s your order). Spend $75 or more and get a free tutorial and 5 handmade cards from my “For Sale” bin of handmade demo cards. Spend $100 or more and receive the free tutorial, 5 free cards and pick either a $15 Gift certificate good towards classes or products as my thanks!

Due to high demand for retiring stamps, we’ll keep producing retiring stamps until May 26 (not accessories-accessories are only while supplies last). The lists of retiring products will be updated every business day by 4:00 PM (MT).

Thanks for stopping by today, so excited it’s a nice day for our Spring Fling- will post pictures later or tomorrow.

Have an awesome Saturday!

Creative Inking Blog Hop…

creative hop

Hello Stamping Friends!

Welcome to the first Creative Inking Blog Hop endeavor featuring 13 talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. We are excited to share our stamping and papercrafting ideas featuring the amazing products by Stampin’ Up!  A blog hop is a chance to go visit some other blogs that you may not have visited before. It is an excellent opportunity to see a lot of different styles of crafting. I have been following these other 12 demonstrators for several months and they do great work, I’m sure you’re going to enjoy our new monthly Blog Hop!

You should have just arrived here from Colleen Vassos and her blog.  I have never met the other 12 talented demonstrators, but our common denominator is the uber amazing and talented Patsy Waggoner! (I did get to meet her at Convention last year)!  She is a Stampin’ Up! Rock Star who helps create, support and update blogs for other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Here is her contact info: www.blogsbypatsy.com (in case you need some blogging help). I joined her Facebook group and I learn so much about blogging  just from being a member of that private group. Anyway, another demonstrator suggested we try a blog hop, and since it was one of my New Year’s Resolutions, I signed up right away. We’ve been planning this since just after Christmas. We have a theme for each month, and we’ll be linking up with these cute blog hop graphics made by Amber Swift. So be sure to mark your calendar- we will go live at 12:01 am Central Time on the 20th of each month. (Which is 1:01 am Eastern Time).

Without further ado, here is my post for today. The topic is: Color the World with Blendabilties  isn’t this an awesome theme? I’m ready for more bright colors (and so tired of the snow here in Upstate NY)!

blog hop 3

I came up with two slightly different cards to share with you today. They both use the new stamp set Indescribable Gift from our 2015 Occasions (“Spring”) mini catalog. This stamp set has three sentiments for Easter card making, but I decided to use just the flowers for this blendabilities post. I wanted to do this card in two color options, thinking this looked like a sprig of cherry blossoms, what do you think?

blog hop 4

First up is the card colored in Pink Pirouette blendabilities (aka “blendies” for short). In the catalog, there is a photo of this technique- using the soft sky blendies to outline the floral design, it gives it a little pop of color, don’t you think? I love the new Hello You thinlit dies, I just needed to trim off a small piece at the end of the letter “s” so it would fit in an envelope.

blog hop1

Here is a close up so you can see how I layered the light and medium blendies for each of the three colors used on the floral image: Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, and Crumb Cake. Only the lightest soft sky was used for the outline.

blog hop 5

Next up is the same floral image, this time colored with Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Crumb Cake. I omitted the soft sky outline on this one, as I thought this was “just enough”- what do you think?

blog hop2

I like to start with the lightest color in the set of blendabilities and then apply medium, and sometimes I go back with the darkest color- but I didn’t use that on this card.

*There is still time to “earn” some free items during Stampin’ Up!’s annual Sale-a-bration- a customer rewards event that only comes around once a year. This year Stampin’ Up! has added our original 12 Blendabilities colors to the mini catalog of free choices- you get 1 free item with every $50 products purchased. There are awesome stamp sets, designer series paper, Project Life cards (I blogged about those the other day see this post if you want to take a peek at those awesome SAB items). Let me know if you have any questions about Sale-a-bration, and if you’d like to try to earn some of these awesome products for free!

Well, that’s all I have for you today, I would love to hear from you, I read and reply to every comment. Do you love our new Blendabilities as much as I do?? Here’s an important reminder/tip for all of you who have purchased them (or earned some free from SAB)… remember to store them flat, and double (or triple check) that the cap is applied tightly, you should hear a click… if the cap is not put on tightly and completely, these markers will dry out. I’ve had more than one of these dry up after a stamp camp or class, so I’m now being extra vigilant after others use them. Also, have a scrap paper under the image you are coloring, they do bleed through. Also, you will definitely want to use our Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad (not Stazon) so that the ink doesn’t bleed. Hope those tips help!

Awesome Christmas Party!

Hi Friends! How are you? I have missed you!

I have quite a few things to share with you today!

catty

The other night Stampin’ Up! sponsored a new Occasions Catalog (and Sale-a-bration) Catalog Kick off Party again! Many of my team members and I went to Crossgates mall for the viewing. A bunch of us met for dinner first at The Standard, a yummy Italian restaurant (very Frank Sinatra-ish interior):

While I wish every single one of my Lynnzcrafters team could have attended too, it is such a busy time of year. Glad that Tiffany, Amye, Jamie, Tina and Molly were able to attend.

We had two demos join us as their uplines were not there, we had fun with Anne and Audrey!

Interestingly, Jamie won prize patrol (again!) so happy for her, and it is such a beautiful new stamp set!!

And here are the two new catalogs that will launch on January 6th, 2015… and this is an awesome new stamp set that we all went home with too!

dania xmas

Last night was our annual Christmas Party at my upline Dania’s house, look at this yummy Cranberry cocktail she made for us… it was delicious!

Dania had this amazing project for our Make-and-Take! She ordered some galvanized metal flashing so we turned these frames into magnetic boards. How cute??

Here’s Sheila, Tiffany and Judy with their boards.

Not sure why Dania is hiding, but here she is with Anne, Karyn and Amye making their memo boards. So fun!

A highlight of the party is our annual Christmas Grab Bag… there are a few rules: wrap a handmade gift valued around $10 in a plain brown bag. We draw numbers, and the person who has #1 opens the first gift, then person who has #2 can either steal the first gift, or open a new one. We have a “three steals and it is frozen” rule. Also “you can’t go home with your own gift rule”. This was an amazing year of awesome one-of-a-kind and spectacular gifts! They were all Steal-worthy!!

Here is the gift that I made:

plxmas2

It is a Project Life album, in the now sold-out Cherry Cobbler color. I heat embossed the snowflakes on the cover using whisper white embossing powder. I had an extra snowflake embellishment from my Many Merry Stars Kit, and I applied metallic silver ink to turn it silver. I used some other products to jazz it up, what do you think??

I also made a few inserts for one of the pages, just some quick and simple stamping on some 3″ x 4″ whisper white rectangles.

Be sure to come back and visit me tomorrow, to see the gift I came home with- it’s much more than one gift- it’s going to take about 20 photos to show you my gift, can’t wait to show you!
