Greece Trip Highlights

Good morning friends, with the projections here in upstate New York to be a very hot day I wanted to send off this summary of my trip to you, hopefully you can enjoy the pictures while sipping on some cool beverages and staying cool.

We had smooth travels to Rome, Italy although none of us slept on the overnight trip so we were a little fatigued to hit the roads and start exploring. The Trivoli fountain was absolutely amazing, I was able to find lactose free sherbet while everyone else enjoyed their gelato and I did take a chance and take a pill to enjoy the delicious homemade pizza.

Don’t you love to enjoy foods when you travel? I could do a whole blog post just on the fabulous treats and entrées we enjoyed on this trip.

We were in awe of the beauty and majesty of the Jewel of the Seas, our ship for the next seven days cruising the Greek Isles on one of Royal Caribbean’s finest ships.

Stampin’ Up! spoiled all of the achievers beyond our wildest dreams with fabulous pillow gifts every evening. They also threw us a set sail party on the first night with all of this delicious food. It was so fun to kick off the trip and have snacks and visit with everyone, and I was thrilled to visit with Shelli Gardner, that was so special!

It sure was a bit windy up on top deck, but we had to take in the sights as we cruised away from Italy on Monday morning they had a session for us and kicked off the Holiday catalog and Jordan received this lovely backpack and I received some new holiday goodies we learned that the next incentive trip will be to the Eastern Caribbean in May 2021. The earning for this will begin in September, and I am so excited as this will be on the biggest cruise ship called Symphony of the Seas we tried to round up the demonstrators from the Northeast region for a photo, here are some of my friends and I after the general session. I enjoyed having a quick chat with Sara Douglas, the CEO of Stampin’ Up!, she is such a sweetheart Broadway show tunes, music in every nook and cranny of the ship it is so fantastic to cruise, this is the screenshot of the TV screen as we cruised from Italy to Greece.

We arrived on the ship on Sunday, July 7, and cruised all day on Monday, July 8. We enjoyed time by the pool, we played bingo, we enjoyed good food, and it was formal night in the dining room for our sitdown dinner. Our family was blessed with the most fantastic head waiter and assistant waiter on the ship, they catered to our every need we had and were so fun.

Our first stop was in Santorini, and oh my goodness the views were gorgeous the water was so blue, this is a caldera, which meant that the ship had to anchor a distance away and we took small boats, called tender, in to the port. It was so much fun and a little nerve-racking to take a bus up the winding Hills to get to the top of the town.

Our first stop was at Santos winery where we tasted different wines and enjoyed some Greek snacks of olives, crackers, cheeses.

Then our tour bus took us to Oia, where we had a chance to walk the streets, have some gelato, do some shopping, we were inside the most beautiful church I have ever seen. And then our final stop on this tour was to Fiera, for some more sightseeing, and shopping. It was so beautiful.

Our second excursion day, July 10, was my niece Jordan’s birthday and we went to the island of Mykonos. Again we had to take a small boat to get to shore to get on our restored pirate ship that took us to the gorgeous Aegean Sea, where we jumped off the boat into the water to swim. After a little while we hopped back on and sailed to Paradise Beach where we anchored for a while and swam in the Mediterranean Sea. I cannot describe how gorgeous the water was! At the end of the day our boat took us into the village and we had a chance to walk and shop and have some food. I enjoyed the best Gyro and baklava I have ever had in my life! I know Jordan enjoyed a magical birthday!

On July 11 our third day of excursions, we anchored in Athens and we took a guided tour to the Acropolis and Parthenon and learned so much about the ancient Greeks. It was so awesome to visit this incredible spot.

I think Claire was really in her element, she soaks up all this rich history and even elected to go to a museum with Sue instead of shopping like the rest of us.

Our fourth excursion was to the island of Katakolon. We took a tour bus about an hour inland to Olympia, which was an incredible experience. This was the least crowded of all of our excursions, and our tour guide gave us quite a narrated tour of the birthplace of the Olympic Games. we got to walk the grounds of The Temple of Zeus and Hera and learned about ancient cultures, as well as kalamata olives and the olive branch.

You may have been following me on Facebook or Instagram while I was away, so some of these pictures may be familiar. But I know not everyone is on social media so I wanted to share this trip of a lifetime and thank all of you who helped me achieve this incredible vacation. My family and I had the time of our lives and we will treasure this experience.

My next blog post will be photos of all the pillow gifts, prizes, swaps, and sample boards featuring products from the next holiday catalog. Demonstrators will have a chance to receive the catalog in August and order a month early before it launches to the public on September 4. We have a wonderful special going on right now I would love to have you join my team, contact me if you need more info.

Have a great day and thanks for reading! Have you been to Rome or Greece? I would love to hear from you, I treasure your comments.

Thanks,

Lynn
