Creative Inking March Blog Hop

Hi there friends!

Welcome to our March Blog Hop where our gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) is the STAR! That’s right, all of us bloggers are show-casing amazing projects with our stellar DSP! I have to say, about this time every year I begin to think about the In Colors that are retiring (Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe and Cucumber Crush) and I think “what will I do without these colors” and I often go buy up all the reinkers, and Designer Series Paper with these colors as we know they will retire as of May (and we usually run out sooner than that). So, word to the wise, if you don’t have these colors, and you want them, get them soon!

 Well my favorite retiring InColor is mint macaron so I had to showcase my favorite DSP,  Succulent Garden (item 142778,  page 21 of the Occasions Catalog).  This card also uses two of the fabulous Saleabration items- Avant Garden stamp set and metallic ribbon combo pack. The colors I used to stamp: Sweet Sugarplum, Old Olive, and Tip Top Taupe. 

This second card also features another gorgeous pack of Designer Series Paper called Falling in Love DSP. (Item #142788 page 51 in the Occasions Catalog). I also used the So Detailed Thinlits Dies (item #142751 Occasions Catalog cut out of Very Vanilla cardstock). For this card, I used a whole punch to create 2 holes to tie the metallic ribbon which eliminated the need for glue under the detailed cut out piece. I used basic grey archival to stamp the greeting from So in Love stamp set (item #143112 page 52 Occasions Catalog- hey this is bundled with the thinlits for a 10% savings. It’s called the So in Love bundle, item #144739 clear mount is what I used).
