Happy August Everyone! Can you believe how quickly July flew by? Me neither! Here’s to our last month of “summer”… hope you find some time for crafting fun!
First up is my “simple” card… I’m not sure if you can tell, but this card base uses a full piece of 8 1/2″ x 11″ card stock, folded in 1/2 so the finished card is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. I needed to make a special congratulations card for a work colleague who is leaving our department for a new job at the state, and we’re having a little luncheon for her today. I needed a card for 20 people to be able to sign their well wishes, so I knew our typical card size wouldn’t be big enough. I knew this card was a little too plain, so I decided to jazz it up a little bit.
Stepped up a notch but adding sweet sugarplum ruched ribbon, wink of Stella clear glitter pen, and stamped small flowers from the Love and Affection stamp set in coordinating colors from the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper.
Close up… so you can see the Wink of Stella Glitter pen, and the tiny mini pearls I used.
What do you think? I love to hear from all of you- what else would you add to this card?
Now it’s time to go check out the rest of the creative team… click the “next” button below to go see what the amazing Kimberley has ready for us…. Don’t forget to leave us a comment- we love to know what you think about our creations.
Here are the supplies I used to make this card:

Love how you used the scallops with the new Layering Ovals…I just got mine but haven’t played with them yet. And those tiny pearls give the little flowers an even more delicate look 🙂

By just adding a few flowers around the oval greeting, it totally took the card to another lever. great job
