Hi there stamping friends! Did you have a nice weekend? I sure did!! I had my first Stampin’Up! Cards and Bingo event Friday night, then my nephew’s Pinewood Derby on Saturday, and my niece’s birthday party at a local paint and sip shop yesterday, yippee- it was a lot of fun!! Plus emails, laundry, cleaning/organizing, and crafting! Time flies when you’re having fun, right?!
I also enjoyed creating this blog post for you! Our monthly theme is “Step it up”, so first I show you a card that has some simple stamping, and then I show you a “stepped up” version. Let me know what you think of these cards by leaving me a comment, which is your favorite?? I’d love to hear from YOU!
First up, a simple and quick card featuring the Sale-a-bration stamp set called “Sky is the Limit” (we made this card at Bingo the other night, everyone loved how quick and simple it was). The card base is Lost Lagoon, embossed in the new “World Traveler” Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and featuring two pieces of designer series paper from the new mini stack (6″ x 6″) called “Going Places”. Love that there are 12 designs and you get 4 pieces of each one. The coordinating colors: Basic Black, Delightful Dijon, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Sahara Sand, and Very Vanilla.
This is a time sensitive stamp set- what does that mean? You can only get this stamp set as a free choice with a $50 order (before tax/shipping) until February 15th, 2016. This is the first time Stampin’ Up! has offered some of their Sale-a-bration items as “Limited Time Products”. We will be getting some new products on February 16th to replace this stamp set and two other products that are also retiring from the Sale-a-bration offerings! Believe me, you will love this set- hurry and get it before it’s gone! Not sure if you love it yet? Well, check out two more cards “stepped up” a little bit…
On this card, I made the base Sahara Sand, and embossed a piece of 4″ x 5- 1/4″ Lost Lagoon card stock in the World Traveler texture folder. Using a different piece of DSP from Going Places stack, some awesome silver metallic thread, small scrap of Silver Glimmer Paper and a Rhinestone on the propeller to “step it up”.
Want to see some some more awesome cards featuring this stamp set? They showcase the versatility of the sentiments and other images in the stamp set:
We made this at my team get together last week. The Lynnzcrafters loved making this card- some made it for Valentine’s day with the “You Send Me Soaring” sentiment.
These cards are so versatile, so many of my customers tell me that they always need “Guy” cards, well this will be your go-to stamp set for guy birthdays, Valentine’s, anniversary, thinking of you, get well, and congratulations! The sky’s the limit, literally!!
