We Create Blog Hop

 

Hi there Stampin’ Friends!

Did you have a nice Halloween? I was at a lovely wedding in Washington, DC.  and am traveling home to NY today. It was the first time I missed celebrating Halloween with my family since my niece was born- that’s 19 Halloweens! I prepared this blog hop before I left New York, so I hope it goes off without a hitch.

The theme of this awesome blog hop each month is to showcase a rubbing stamping project twice- first in it’s “simple” form and then “stepped-up”.

So here is my interpretation of this concept. I resisted the Lighthearted Leaves set as long as I could, because I loved the Vintage Leaves bundle… but love this set too!

 

Just some simple sponging (I used hello honey and tangelo twist here for a soft multi-colored effect).

This time I decided to give it some bling and accessories- don’t you love how you can “dress up” a card, just like your wardrobe, with just a few simple touches. The gold sequin trim is the star here, don’t you agree? I also think stamping the sentiment from this set, in tangelo twist instead of momento tuxedo black ink, is more classy too.
