good morning my stamping friends! What a glorious Sunday it is here in Utah and in just a little while I’ll be joining some of my stamping friends to go hear the Mormon Tabernacle choir. Last year when I came to my first convention it was one of the highlights of the trip it was glorious and I knew I needed to come back to this gorgeous state of Utah and hear this glorious choir again. But before I head out I wanted to show you some of my favorite pictures from yesterday. It was a half day of regular convention I learned about making videos, more about the changes coming up with the new compensation plan that starts in October. I also was blessed to be able to attend a half-day training for leaders where there were lots of opportunities to mingle with some of the top demonstrators in the country, brainstorm new ideas, and hear some marvelous speakers.
There was a karma like moment when they announced the keynote of the day. Her name is Jenna Glover and she is a clinical psychologist here in Utah. Apparently they saw her do a talk on Ted TV called “do you lead an energy efficient life?” She used some great analogies, illustrations, and stories to help drive the point home that what we do for ourselves in creating a peaceful, calm, safe existence is the same as the food that fuels our body. What a perfect reminder to not live in stressful moments, to find the peace in every day and to remember that life is a journey not a destination.
Here’s some pictures from Saturday in Salt Lake City, Utah.
So very happy for Amy Jordan she’s an amazing demonstrator in our group, and she was asked to be on the advisory board for the new global events board for Stampin’ Up!. Amy is such a kind and generous person and I’ll never forget how she helped me when I join stamping up what a sweetheart couldn’t be happier for her!
And also so happy for Susan Campfield who was asked to join the communications counsel advisory board. Susan is in the blog hop that I do every month called “creative inking” she’s so sweet and kind what a perfect match for the new advisory board.
After the convention was over I met up with two demo friends Barb and Val and we had a delicious dinner and night out in Sidecreek. We really enjoyed watching some young teens who spent the night giving away free hugs, and just what a beautiful evening it was….
Well that’s all for now I’m off to finish getting ready to go here the Mormon Tabernacle choir. Have a glorious Sunday and come back tomorrow to see lots of pictures of swaps and inspiration from the new holiday catalog thanks for stopping by today!!!
Lynn
