HSS Sketch Challenge #206

Hi There Stampers!
Did you have a nice weekend, despite losing an hour of sleep? I did, lots of Stampin’ Up! fun here in Glenville, NY. Loved helping my newest recruit place her first order, she was so shocked that her $150 order earned her 30% discount since it was within her first 45 days, she also earned 3 free Sale-a-bration items, AND she earned $25 in free hostess rewards. We were both pretty happy about all she got!! There is time for you to earn these benefits too- I am having an Opportuni-TEA next Sunday March 15th from 3-5 pm. This is a chance to learn more about our $99 Starter Kit, and all the options you have if you consider joining this month! You can ask questions, and I have a little stamping planned, so if you’d like to come- please let me know the day before, by noon, so I can cut/prep for YOU! Hope you’ll come and will consider joining Lynnzcrafters! If you love stamping, crafting, and having fun- this is for YOU!

Now, on to one of my weekend projects. It has been forever since I played along with my favorite challenge Hand Stamped Sentiments. I received a custom order for some St. Patrick’s Day cards from a co-worker so I decided to combine the challenge from HSS and some St. Patrick’s Day cards. Here we go!

MARCH3

My first card with the HSS challenge 206 is this little shaker card. I found the mini shamrock confetti at a craft store and thought they would be perfect for some shaker cards. I love the little banners in this sketch, I took a small liberty tweaking it a tad, what do you think? In trying to find real St. Patrick’s Day green, I decided to use some gingham garden retired designer series paper.

This is the original design sketch. Simple and cute, right?

MARCH2

This card takes the sketch and turns it on it’s side. What do you think? Recognize this green? It is Gumball Green- I was so happy to still have a whole pack of this bright green. I was sad when it retired last year, I really love this shade of green. The image was a $0.95 download from My Digital Studio! I love being able to get digital downloads on my computer within seconds. This one is called “Go Green”. Love it.

Here are the supplies I used for this card that are available in my online store:

Be sure to come back on March 17th to see all 10 St. Patrick’s Day cards I made this year! Have a great night!
Thanks for stopping by to read my blog!

  1. Love both your cards and what a great idea to create St. Patrick’s day cards! What a great idea to use shamrocks confetti for your shaker card and it was so creative to create your second card sideways. Thanks for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
