January Club Projects

Hello Stamping Friends!

I hope you had a nice weekend! I know I sure did. I had two of my stamping clubs and a Project Life event plus some time with family, always a bonus.

I wanted to share with you the projects I came up with this month for my club members. With Valentine’s Day a month away, and the gorgeous new Occasions Catalog, and Sale-a-bration, it was very hard to decide! So here’s what I came up with- 3 cards and a tiny treat box with chocolate candy inside. Let me know what you think, please? I really treasure your comments.

This is a card I absolutely fell in love with, the original creator of this card is Mandie K, a fellow demonstrator. The butterfly basics is a must have bundle, this set is so versatile and can be used for numerous different cards, scrapbooks, home décor, and framed art. Stay tuned, I will be making a lot of projects with this set.

Next up is another favorite new stamp- a single stamp- and Blendabilities! This is also a card inspired by another fellow demonstrator in our local Inketts group, Val M. She posted this card and I realized in all my tulip cards, I had not yet tried one in cherry cobbler, this was my attempt at variegated petals… what do you think? I added the little hearts from our new confetti hearts border punch- I just love this punch- it is so fun to make confetti to glue or insert behind window sheets. so fun.

This card is actually inspired by one of the cards that is inside the Sale-a-bration catalog (page 5) do you notice the new products used here? I love the new Bermuda bay sequin trim, paired here with our gold sequin trim, just pull off the threads and you can use 2-way glue pen to adhere to your card.

Last, but not least, is this cute little treat holder! I was so happy to see the tiny treat boxes carry over from the holiday catalog! it was so fun to create a little belly band and did you know that our cotton ribbon can be curled? I was playing around trying to work out a kink in my ribbon, and noticed that it curled easily with my fingers, so then I got out the scissors and curled it just like curling ribbon. adorable. Blendabilities were used again, just love how easily they color images, The rock star here is the new bow punch. With just a 2″x 4 1/2″ piece of DSP (new Stacked with Love DSP) you can get two punches to create both halves of the bow. And hey- if you are using DSP with a pattern that has a one-way directionality to it… here’s a little tip for you: punch once to get your three pieces, then turn upside down to repeat the 2nd punch… when you assemble this bow, then each half will have paper going in the same direction.  you need to get this little bow punch, he is so adorable, it will be perfect for wedding or shower favors as well as cards and numerous other uses.

So here’s the whole group of projects together, I have one more club tonight, luckily I don’t think they mind me posting the projects before they arrive… at least I hope they’ll tell me if they mind. 😉

Well, that’s it for today, thanks for stopping by today. Oh, one more thing- I was invited to participate in a monthly Blog Hop with a group of very talented demonstrators from across the country. I have checked out their blogs and wowza. they are super talented. I am already working on some projects that of my own creation. The blog hop will be the 20th of each month, and there are 13 of us participating. (a blog hop just means we’re all linked together, so once you finish reading my blog, there will be a nice graphic image that says “next” and you click it and go read another Stampin’ Up! demonstrators blog, and continue “hopping” around to see all the projects. Whew, wish me luck!

Have a great day,
