My 50th Birthday Party!

IMG_0023 (2)

Yesterday was a very special day- my family and friends threw me a wonderful 50th birthday party! Although my birthday is not until April 22nd, with Spring Break, Easter, and people traveling, the girls decided to have the party in March… and what a way to say good-bye to winter. The party was at the Turf Tavern in Scotia, and it was so yummy and delicious. My sisters, SIL’s, nieces, and my BFF decorated, had a photo booth with props, made adorable favors, had huge balloons, yummy cake from Villa Italia, a very touching slide show (lots of baby pictures and fun times) set to amazing music- thanks to Kristen- what an awesome job (and I KNOW how hard and time-consuming those slide shows are- so THANKS A MILLION!)!!, a boa and tiara to wear (I think I should wear the tiara every day until my birthday- what a way to say good-bye to 49!) I was so humbled by the love and laughter, cards and gifts, and will treasure all these photos for years to come.

Here is the favor that my friend (and newest downline Amye) created and helped my sister Sue and niece Claire to make for the party, aren’t these elegant? (A nice use for the new Spiral Flower Die in our Occasions Catalog!!)

And look at this yummy cake! It was the Strawberry Cream from Villa Italia, one of my Favorites!

IMG_0072

Many of my friends have asked that I not post them on facebook, so to respect their wishes (and because this blog is linked to my facebook page), I’m not going to share the group photos or individuals of them.

Here is one of my favorites, with my family:

IMG_0041 (2)

Sue and Claire (I’m not sure if they had help, if so THANKS!!) did an amazing job of making a photo booth, with dozens of props (I can’t imagine how long it took them to make them all, what a lot of cutting!!) Sue wanted themes from every decade I’ve been alive, so there were 60’s, 70’s, 80’s (well you get the idea)… so fun!

IMG_0013

My brother-in-law dropped in with my nephews at the end of the party, and they had a ball dressing up for the photos too, I love this one:

Are they adorable, or what?

IMG_0032

This is a great photo of my mother and I… true story I had the same blouse on and almost wore it to the party! Wouldn’t that have been funny?!?!?

IMG_0036

I love this one of my niece Jordan and my mom, love their smiles!

IMG_0043 (2)

Sue, Claire and I- love this one too!!

I am the luckiest girl alive to have such awesome, generous, amazing family and friends!! You made me feel so loved and special and I am so grateful that you helped me celebrate the big 5-0!! I’ve been told there’s more to come, I don’t really know what that means, and I don’t really like surprises, but I have to say if I’ve got to turn 50, and hey- it’s just a number- then I’m all for having fun! Sue, Kristen, Kathy, Mom, Claire, Jordan, Jane, (Eric, Blake and Ethan too!) you are so wonderful and I can’t thank you enough!! Love You!

My deepest thanks to everyone who made my party such a fun and special day! LOVE YOU! smooooch!! xoxoxoxo

Want some Stampin’ Up! News?
Do you like receiving newsletters from me?
If you didn’t receive this one this morning,
then contact me so I can add you to my e-newsletter list!

Hi There Stamping Friends!
I just wanted to reach out to you and let you know that there are three amazing offers from Stampin’ Up! that are ending today – everything ends at midnight in my online store, or 8 pm if you need me to place the order in my last order of the month:

1. Sale-a-bration {the customer rewards once a year extravaganza}
The exclusive items that you can pick for each $50 order will disappear
after midnight… did you get your free gift? This year I have to say I
LOVED everything! Although if I had to pick a favorite- it would be the
Designer Series Paper Sweet Sorbet- the colors and possibilities are endless!
(I stocked up on this for some upcoming craft fairs- beautiful for Easter/Passover and Spring Cards!)

2. “Best of Stamp Sets”– did you start to collect any of the Best of Sets from 2013? Remember for every 6 sets you collected, save the “25” sticker and put it on your Collectors card- mail in to the address right on the collectors card to Stampin’ Up! You pick out any stamp set valued at $14.95 or less and SU mails it right to you FOR FREE, no tax/shipping! I picked out 2 sets from the annual catalog that I had been wanting, and when they arrived I was so happy!

3. Like Cinderella, at midnight tonight the Paper Pumpkin FREE Markers deal ends. The monthly craft kit in the mail is an awesome way to get started with stamping, OR a wonderful gift to give that special someone. You can go on “hold” or stop ordering at anytime, and it’s only $19.95 per month + tax, but it’s free shipping! Paper Pumpkin subscribers are now able to order past kits and REFILLS from past kits! And the free set of markers deal (that ends tonight) is a nice reward for joining PP.

In addition, I am throwing a Paper Pumpkin Party on Thursday April 17th from 6:30-9:30 pm. This is a drop in event- just come for any part of the evening… come for 5 minutes or stay the whole time- it’s up to you. I’m going to have card stock and Paper Pumpkin items you can make.I will have snacks, goodie bags, and prizes to ALL my subscribers! It’s just a way to say thanks to my faithful friends who have signed up. You don’t need to bring a thing! IF you are a subscriber and can’t make it that night, I will get your goodies to you somehow after the party.

*Also, if I get 1 more subscriber by midnight tonight, then I earn a new fun stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and to make the Paper Pumpkin Party even sweeter, I’m going to raffle off one of this month’s kits (the March kit has the wooden cut outs that say “Thank you” and “Congrats”. RSVP by 4/13 so I have enough snacks, and prep enough card stock for the party.

Whew, that’s a lot of news, I hope my computer worked- I set it to deliver this email to your inbox at 9:00 am, (I took an online marketing course and I learned that is when most people are just opening their Inbox… we’ll see if that works).

I love being your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, and please let me know if you have any questions!
Have a great day!
Lynn

March Paper Pumpkin Kit

Hi Friends! Happy Friday! Sometimes I don’t blog because I haven’t made anything new to share. This week I needed a card to congratulate a friend who got a new job, so I whipped up a cute one from my Paper Pumpkin kit:

March14_PP

This card is 100% CASED from Shelli Gardner, our wonderful CEO of Stampin’ Up! In fact, here is what she said on her blog:

I know that our monthly Paper Pumpkin kits arrive with pretty much everything you need to create a project—they even come with the project idea. The whole idea, of course, is that you can quickly and easily create a fun project, without the stress of creating the project and gathering the supplies. But what if you like coming up with new ideas yourself?

Personally, I’m a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) girl—I love creating projects that other people design, but sometimes I’ll change up a color palette or add a layer or switch out an accessory. And even though Paper Pumpkin is truly creativity made simply and easy, there’s still room for a little added pizzazz. I thought I’d make my point by sharing these four cards, all made with the March Paper Pumpkin kit—and nothing else! All we did is add a few foil accents made with the foil that comes inside the kit! Can’t get much easier than that. . .

Paper Pumpkin Subscriber Party

paper pumpkin party

To thank all my Paper Pumpkin Subscribers, I’m having a Paper Pumpkin Party! Free! That’s right, free to all who subscribe to PP (with me as your demonstrator)!

Who: anyone who is a current subscriber or becomes a subscriber by midnight on 3/31

What: Snacks, crafting, card making, I will have a thank you gift for all of you.

When: Thursday April 17th from 6:30-9:30 pm.

Where: my house, up in the craft room

Why: because I set a goal to find two new subscribers by the end of the month (I’m trying to earn a free stamp set).

Want to come? It’s not too late to get in on the fun! Subscribe by midnight March 31st, while Stampin’ Up is running the current promotion and new Paper Pumpkin subscribers will also receive 5 Stampin’ Write Markers (a $14.95 value) absolutely free if you subscribe by March 31, 2014. The colors included in this set of markers are Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, and Primrose Petals.

What makes Paper Pumpkin better than other monthly craft subscription boxes:

  • Paper Pumpkin is affordable. Each monthly kit is just $19.95, and the price includes shipping. I have seen monthly craft kits run $30-$40 plus shipping.
  • Paper Pumpkin includes exclusive Stampin’ Up stamps that can’t be purchased anywhere else.
  • Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin kits include easy to follow step by step instructions. If you aren’t feeling very creative, you can make the projects as shown.
  • The kits are versatile. If you are more creative, it is so easy to use the fun supplies to make other projects.
  • You can skip a month if you need to. There aren’t many monthly subscription boxes out there that let you opt out of a month.
  • Cancel at any time – without any hassle or having to jump through hoops. Unlike other monthly craft boxes that lock you into a 3 or 6 month agreement, with Paper Pumpkin there is no risk. You can stop your subscription at any time if you decide it’s not for you.
  • Only Paper Pumpkin subscribers can purchase past kits and refill kits. Stampin’ Up! made the decision to only offer these to PP subscribers. I’m so thrilled about that!
  • You will receive additional ideas, inspiration and bi-monthly get togethers for as long as you remain a subscriber. Just a way I want to say thanks to all who give it a try!

pp-post-1-17-14image-22_pp

Please RSVP by April 14th, so I am sure to have enough goodies ready for our PP Party (wait, that doesn’t sound quite right) 🙂

Can’t make it? If you are one of my PP subscribers, I will get the party supplies to you by the end of April.

if you’re ready to sign up, just head over to http://www.mypaperpumpkin.com  (I will receive an email when you sign up).

Lynnzcrafters Team Get Together was Fun!

Good Morning Stamping Friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! I wanted to show you some photos of my Lynnzcrafter’s Team get together on Friday night.

We enjoyed chatting about the latest Stampin’ Up! announcements, updates and catalog launch party coming up next month.

I prepared supplies for them to make squares for an Easter Framed Art 5×7″ piece and cute bunny treat container:

team2

Here is Amye hard at work making her 2″ squares, they came out awesome!
team4

Amye decided on Smoky Slate textured card stock for her background, it kind of blends in with the table, but how sweet is this??

team3

Wendy and Jamie also changed theirs up a little bit too, I LOVE it when stampers put their own spin on their projects, and make them uniquely their own.

team5

Here is Wendy’s version of the Easter sampler. I unfortunately didn’t get a photo of Jamie’s squares, sorry!

In case you missed my original framed art piece, two of which were swap squares (the bunny by Wendy and the chick in the egg by Dania).

This cute bunny treat holder (made with the adorable mini coffee cups that I bought a ton of last fall) is a case from another demonstrator, named Susan Campfield. Isn’t is so adorable? The ladies filled their cups with Hershey’s kisses. Yum!

I wanted to end with a little update about anyone interested in joining Stampin’ Up! We all received a clarifying email the other day regarding recruiting new demonstrators. Due to clarification on the recruiting policies, I wanted to state that I will not be adding any additional incentives above and beyond the $99 Starter Kit special. I love being a demonstrator and don’t want my enthusiasm for finding friends to join my team to be interpreted as breaking the Stampin’ Up! policies. My apologies for any confusion I may have caused.

If you were thinking of joining Stampin’ Up! we do have a lot of fun, you receive at least 20% off all your orders (or 20% commission on your sales), I host a monthly stamping get together at my house, we have other stamping get togethers with my uplines, we get a free catalog in advance from others, we have an exclusive website for demonstrators only (full of images and projects other demos share), opportunity to earn free products, and much much more. I give my downline a discount on any of my classes or events, should they chose to attend. I also loan out stamps, punches, dies and materials to my downline for their crafting classes and projects.

So if that sounds like fun to you, there’s just one more week left on our $99 starter kit special. That’s right, only $99 but you pick out $150 in products, and no shipping! You also receive catalogs, order forms and business supplies to help you get started.

I would love to welcome more friends to my team, let me know if you’re interested! Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, have a wonderful Sunday!!

Lynn

March Paper Pumpkin!

Have you seen the March Paper Pumpkin kit yet? Watch to see how fun and simple this kit is to put together.

Wonder what the surprise will be next month?

Learn more at  https://mypaperpumpkin.com/en/

Don’t forget that if you join before March 31st, 2014, you will earn a free set of Markers!

I’m looking for two more friends to try out paper pumpkin so I can earn a free stamp set out of the next new catalog. Would you be willing to try it for a month or two to help me out? Thanks!

Lynn Streifert, your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!

You’re Invited!

If you were to guess what 6000 feet of theatrical truss, 20 miles of cable, and 218 one-ton chain motors had to do with Stampin’ Up!, what would you say?

Go ahead . . . take a guess!

Give up?

free-convention-blog_finalconvention2013They are just a few of the many things that go into making Inspire. Create. Share. (our annual convention) a success.

You’d think that bringing enough chain motors to suspend 16–1/2 city busses would be exciting enough, but trust us: it would be absolutely no fun without you!

We want you to join us this year for Inspire. Create Share. and experience one of our biggest parties of the year. Just think—you could spend three epic days and two nights learning new techniques, swap with several thousand brand-new stamping buddies, and take home more free goodies than you could shake a stick at. (No chain motors—we promise!)

But wait . . . there’s more! If you join Stampin’ Up! now, we’ll waive your Inspire. Create. Share. registration fee (an almost $300 USD value). That’s right . . . you can attend for FREE. You just pay your hotel and travel expenses.

And if that isn’t sweet enough, get this: if you join before the end of March, you’ll be eligible for Sale-A-Bration benefits. That means you’ll receive an extra $25 USD worth of products in your Starter Kit! So act now and join us for Inspire. Create. Share. 2014.

Still not sure you want to come? Just check out highlights from last year’s Inspire. Create. Share. We bet that will change your mind!

I’m thrilled that I will be going to my FIRST convention this July, and two of my wonderful downline are planning to come too! Would you like to join us? It’s going to be fun!!

~Lynn
