Once a month I invite my active downline to my home for some dinner and night of stamping (well, we’ve evolved to having dinner because its just so much fun!) Jamie, Wendy, Tina, and Amye all brought some yummy food- chili, cornbread, fruit/veggies, chips and delicious bundt cake! (Wish I took a picture!)
Last night we did NOT stamp but instead played with products from the new Occasions Catalog to make some fun 3-D projects.
Here are the girls hard at work twirling their card stock to make little roses and a small nose gay for their little vase (really a grated cheese shaker from The Dollar Tree). I have to admit that I love making these little flowers. I watched You Tube videos by both Janet Wakeland and Patty Bennett for some tips and tricks. I used the coordination card stock that came in my big grab bag box back in November after Book-a-thon. The floral wire was also from the Dollar Tree Store.
Here is my little flower bouquet… I will be adding to it, because one of my team had an excellent idea- to add little stems (I quickly whipped off some gumball green stems on the big shot… But I didn’t take any photos of them completed, darn. I will post after I spruce mine up.
Another case from Janet was this little salt shaker as a mini vase… I used the Retro Fresh DSP here. Hard to believe the Spiral Flower die is only $17.95 it is a real bargain. A hot glue gun is a must for assembling these little beauties.
Amye had brainstormed an idea to use the mini coffee cups as egg holders for Easter. I found the cute punch art bunny on an old blog post by Mary Fish. Of course the new fringe scissors are the real star here, but sadly they are on back order right now, drats.

Finally I gave the girls the MDS print out “Happy St Patrick’s Day” to put in their 8×10 frames. This is a new digital download for MDS called Luck O’ the Irish. This download is chuck full of great pieces for any St Patricks celebration!
